That massive piece of track just standing there so unsupported looking... (yes I know it has guy wires to temporarily hold it in place. But that doesn't change how it looks!)... is strangely awesome!!

You are correct... They havnen't always been black... (judging by this photo) However, the padding just Velcros in place... So it may be something that DW had been planning on changing because how quickly non-black colors start turning black (See Diamondback at Kings Islands headrest) so maybe they just changed out the Velcro pads while they were making other modifications! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Then again, I could be completely wrong! Only time will tell! -------- Personally I'm just glad the freaking ride is finally testing again!!

There was this one time during a night ride on Maverick at Cedar Point. Some how a deer got in the launch tunnel and decided to race the train on the launch, (Cheetah Hunt style) the deer almost won!! The one thing it wasn't prepared for was the wall at the end of the launch track... Poor deer. Rumor has it, if you look closely you can still see the holes in the wood from the deer's antlers... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This happens to me all the time... This is why I have a VERY hard time doing any time line parks, or park recreations. I can do ONE coaster... but more than that and I lose interest. However, your recreation is looking great so far. I say stick it out! This has the potential to turn out amazing!

I've got NO guesses on the new coaster... But what ever it is, I look forward to seeing it come together!! I LOVE the Twister sign. It looks amazing! Great job. Okay, that's freaking awesome the way it frames Cypress Plunge's drop. Nice touch. Can't wait to see more.
