Glad you enjoyed it! I actually really enjoyed writing it. I got to re-live my trip all over again! I am not sure why the guy was in the Fast Lane/Fast Lane Plus line. The only people allowed in the FL(+) lines are people with FL(+) wristbands. Even guest on a VIP Tour are not allowed in FL(+) lines unless they purchase the Fast Lane (+). So, the main advantage of the VIP Tour over Fast Lane(+) is the tour guide. Guest who purchase a VIP Tour will have a Guest Services park employee in uniform, with a radio, and a lanyard that says "VIP Tour" on it with them for the duration of the VIP Tour. Guest who are on a VIP Tour do not wait in any lines. They do not wait in the normal line, they do not wait in the Fast Lane(+) line... They simply don't wait in lines. The VIP Tour guide will take them up the exit for any attraction they want to ride. Guest who purchase a VIP Tour get two wristbands. They get one wristband for unlimited drinks all day long, and they get another wristband for unlimited food all day long. The VIP Tour only last for 9 hours with a required 1 hour break. If guest who have purchased a VIP Tour want to stay in the park after the VIP Tour is over they can... However they must wait in the regular standby line. We LOVED doing the VIP Tour, and we will purchase a VIP Tour any time we go to a theme park. It was well worth the money. I hope this clears up any confusion for you! Still not sure why there was a person in the FL(+) line claiming to have a VIP ticket, but I assure you they did not. Do you know if they by any chance actually got on any of the rides, or did the ride host turn them away??

I agree with you 100%. Maybe we are the only 2 people who have any common sense. I HIGHLY doubt Cedar Point will rename the ride. I think they are simply holding off on the announcement till after the man is laid to rest, (if he hasn't been already) just for respect for the family, and a few months till people forget about this incident. -

So... Does anyone who has been to the park recently know if the track has started arriving in the area blocked off behind Breakers Express... where they stored Maverick track?? I KNOW they have postponed the annocument, but that doesn't mean that they won't still have track arriving. -
Honestly, this is one of the huge perks to doing VIP Tours at a theme park. Your VIP TOUR guide wears a radio and if a ride breaks down as you're walking towards it they knoe, and are able to suggest something else before you walk all the way to the ride. However: previously when waiting in line for a coaster there were a lot of factors that came into play on if I would stay in line, or if I would get out of line when the ride would break down. Usually it just depended on the coaster, and how far through the line I was, and about how long the breakdown would be. That has bit me in the a$$ a few times though. Ended up waiting almost 4 hours for Outlaw RUN because of 2 breakdowns. That's the longest I've ever waited for a ride because of a breakdown. Usually I'll give it about 20 minutes and if nothing has changed then I'll leave the line.

I don't see how they could make a case, either. I mean, the park isn't at fault here no matter how you spin it. I don't see how they could make a case either. The park did nothing wrong.. -

I know it is a "tragic situation," but ... he did it to himself... I can't help but to ... ALMOST ... not care. I mean, I know that sounds heartless, but seriosuly. . . He knew what he was doing when he climbed the fence. Roller coasters are huge, fast moving, heavy pieces of machinery. I just can't find myself caring much when someone steps into the path of the coaster. -

Wow, two accidents so close together. Glad to hear that none of the injuries were critical. That picture of the coaster is scary. -

Just finished reading through all of your reports of the parks, and looking at the pictures!! Glad you were able to get number 100!! What's your next bucket list goal!? So glad you got to visit Silver Dollar City. Seriously it is one of the most beautiful parks I have ever been to. When I walk in that park I seriously feel like I have stepped back in time! Having gone to SDC a lot, it has made me always want to go to Dollywood! Thankfully that is happening next summer! And yes, Outlaw Run's wheels always make that noise! Glad you had fun! -

Speaking of the new coaster: Looking back through the article the Sandusky Register posted about the new Dive Machine coming to Cedar Point I came across this... Glad to that there are still people excited about the Dive Machine concept. I personally really really ... REALLY can't wait for the annocument. I really enjoy Dive Machines, and it's enough of a new addition to make us make another trip to Cedar Point next year! -
False. Only when a new coaster is coming out, or when I'm showing someone a POV. The person below me loves Cedar Point.

As much as I hate this entire situation and how much one persons stupidity has had such a huge effect on the park... I think what you said is 100% accurate. It was a very good, very professional decision from Cedar Fair to show respect to the family when it wasn't even the parks fault to begin with.
