I’m sure the manufacturer offers some sort of warranty on their rides... But I doubt it covers the type of failure you’re talking about. I’m sure the park just gets to the point they consider it a loss, and move on. If they decide to go with the same manufacturer to build a replacement ride I’m betting that manufacturer will offer some type of “discount” to the park.

I would click 2018. Your example made me lean more towards using 2018 rather than the latter. Yeah now I’m second guessing my thoughts.. Like if I wanted to rank Steel Vengeance I’d search for it in the 2018 lineup.

Well, it was going to be BGW.... But I’m so exhausted in life that this years trip to DC doesn’t involve any theme parks.... So instead it will be Sea World Orlando.

Okay.... I 100% feel this is on the ride op at the time. Like, ride op training 101 you go over the “tri-pod” rule. After the Six Flags accident, I’m pretty sure, the “tri-pod” rule became one of those requirements that manufactures say must be met prior to riding. The “tri-pod” rule states that every rider must have 3 functioning limbs. . . Either two legs and an arm, or two arms and a leg... But they had to have at least 3 (of their own limbs) prosthetics didn’t count. So if the ride op noticed she was a double amputee they shouldn’t have let her ride to begin with.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, in case anyone else missed it (like I did...) BGT has announced on Facebook that Tigris will be opening on April 19th!!!

I think it was a trim. If you look closely you can see one coming out of the next airtime hill, and one leading into the second airtime hill.

This literally sums up how I feel about this coaster. I’m not overly impressed by the addition of it. I’m not saying it’s going to be a bad ride. Hell, I’m sure I’ll even enjoy... but I’m not like “OMG!!! I’m so glad they are building this!!” I’m so sick of vest restraints. Being 6’4” the vest restraints really dig into my collarbone and make the ride VERY uncomfortable... and the vest restraints REALLY kill the sensation of the first drop on a Dive Coaster. But yes, there are tons of other coasters to be excited for!!! All in all.... I’m not like “OMG!!! Must go ride Yukon Striker tomorrow!!” It’s more along the lines of “Ehhh... if we have the chance to visit the park I’d like to ride it... but it’s not worth going out of the way for.”

Exactly this!! Ride ops are literally trained NOT to tell a guest exactly why a ride is closed.

Wow!!! This coaster looks and sounds more amazing than I expected. We will be on it next year (2020) and I’m super excited!
