  1. 1.) Intimidator 305 2.) Intimidator 305 3.) Intimidator 305 Nothing comes close to equalling that ride's intensity (at least nothing I've been on).
  2. ^Yes that was helpful. Thanks so much. And sorry for the mispelling of Robb Alvey's name.
  3. Granted, but then you would have to maintain it and you would go bankrupt. I wish Viper at SFGAm had timberliner trains.
  4. Maybe by the locals who go to the county fairs. I don't think they will have the same reputation by coaster enthusiasts, because of so many more major, permanent parks in the US, but I don't think they will be frowned upon. Plus insane carnival coasters are stereotyped with Germany, so no I don't think they'll have the same reputation, although I think the US could use a few more Schwarzkopf-like coasters in their county fairs.
  5. Black Veil Brides is another band I've been listening to lately. Here are the lyrics to "In the End." It's one of my favorite songs by BVB, I also like their transformation from a metalcore band to a hard rock band, although I still love the old BVB. In the end As you fade into the night (oh whoa oh oh) Who will tell the story of your life? In the end As my soul's laid to rest What is left of my body Or am I just a shell? And I have fought And with flesh and blood I commanded an army Through it all I have given my home for a moment of glory (I gave it all) In the end As you fade into the night (oh whoa oh oh) Who will tell the story of your life (oh whoa oh oh) And who will remember your last goodbye (oh whoa oh oh) Cause it's the end and I'm not afraid I'm not afraid to die. I'm not afraid, I'm not afraid to die Born a saint Though with every sin I still wanna be holy I will live again Who we are Isn't how we live we are more than our bodies If I fall I will rise back up and relive my glory In the end As you fade into the night (oh whoa oh oh) Who will tell the story of your life (oh whoa oh oh) And who will remember your last goodbye (oh whoa oh oh) Cause it's the end and I'm not afraid I'm not afraid to die In the end As you fade into the night (oh whoa oh oh) Who will tell the story of your life (oh whoa oh oh) And who will remember your last goodbye (oh whoa oh oh) Cause it's the end and I'm not afraid I'm not afraid to die Who will remember this last goodbye (oh whoa oh oh) Cause it's the end and I'm not afraid I'm not afraid to die Not afraid I'm not afraid to die Not not afraid I'm not afraid to die!
  6. I would really love to see a launched El Loco. However, I would rather go on a Premier Rides or Intamin launched coaster excluding the choices. Also, I personally think B&M should build more "launched" coasters like Incredible Hulk at IOA. I've never ridden it, but I love the idea of slowly going along on a lift hill and then being shot forward unexpectedly. Anyone else?
  7. ^I spent a lot of time as a kid on RCT (in particular, RCT2, although I love all of them). Like I said earlier, I wasn't really made fun of, but people didn't really take me seriously because I was different from the GP. That was the only major public, plus it's at times hard to talk to people about things since I lived in different worlds from every one at my school. My friends didn't really care about the fact that I loved roller coaster, and they were surprised at how much I knew about X-Flight when I went to SFGAm last year with a few non-enthusiast friends (esp. how X-Flight wasn't the first wing coaster like everyone thought ). It's also fun to talk about a ride that will come out at a park, no one believes you, then they find out you're right.
  8. I think this is just me, but I think Christian music should be classified as more of "inspirational/awareness-of-problems-and-fixing-them" music. I mean, the lyrics are great, but they're not exactly Jesus-y. Like compare "Monster" to any Church song. There's something different about it than a Church song. I really love this genre of music though, and it's by far my favorite genre of music. Idk that's my opinion what do you think? "Monster" - Skillet The secret side of me I never let you see I keep it caged But I can't control it So stay away from me The beast is ugly I feel the rage And I just can't hold it It's scratching on the walls In the closet, in the halls It comes awake And I can't control it Hiding under the bed In my body, in my head Why won't somebody come and save me from this? Make it end! I feel it deep within, It's just beneath the skin I must confess that I feel like a monster I hate what I've become The nightmare's just begun I must confess that I feel like a monster I, I feel like a monster I, I feel like a monster My secret side I keep Hid under lock and key I keep it caged But I can't control it Cause if I let him out He'll tear me up And break me down Why won't somebody come and save me from this? Make it end! I feel it deep within, It's just beneath the skin I must confess that I feel like a monster I hate what I've become The nightmare's just begun I must confess that I feel like a monster I feel it deep within, It's just beneath the skin I must confess that I feel like a monster I, I feel like a monster I, I feel like a monster It's hiding in the dark It's teeth are razor sharp There's no escape for me It wants my soul, It wants my heart No one can hear me scream Maybe it's just a dream Or maybe it's inside of me Stop this monster! I feel it deep within, It's just beneath the skin I must confess that I feel like a monster I hate what I've become The nightmare's just begun I must confess that I feel like a monster I feel it deep within, It's just beneath the skin I must confess that I feel like a monster I'm gonna lose control Here's something radical I must confess that I feel like a monster I, I feel like a monster [4x] And btw, do you know what the song "Unity" by Shinedown is about? I can't figure it out.
  9. ^ What song is that? I don't think I've heard that one before? Also, are you into CCM (Christian Contemporaries)? I am a little, but I'm not one a die hard CCMer, but yesterday I was listening to this song which I love and I'll post the lyrics. "The Words I Would Say" - Sidewalk Prophets. I find this song great, and it's one of those songs I listen too when I'm depressed, although I don't know much about Sidewalk Prophets, sorry. It's Three in the morning and I'm still awake so I picked up a pen and a page. And I started writing just what I'd say if we were face to face I'd tell you just what you mean to me Tell you these simple truths Be strong in the Lord and never give up hope. You're gonna do great things I already know God's got his hand on you so don't live life in fear forgive and forget but don't forget why you're here Take your time and pray These are the words I would say Last time we spoke you said you were hurting and I felt your pain in my heart I want you to know that I keep on praying Love will find you where you are I know 'cause I've already been there So just hear these simple truths Be strong in the Lord and never give up hope. You're gonna do great things I already know God's got his hand on you so don't live life in fear forgive and forget but don't forget why you're here Take your time and pray These are the words I would say From one simple life to another I will say Come find peace in the Father Be strong in the Lord and never give up hope. You're gonna do great things I already know God's got his hand on you so don't live life in fear forgive and forget but don't forget why you're here Take your time and pray Thank God for each day His love will find a way These are the words I would say. (from azlyrics) And yeah, after thinking about it, Lights Out is pretty depressing. Ben Burnley, according to Wikipedia, has several phobias (inspiring the Phobia album), including fear of flying, fear of the dark, and he's a hypochondriac. It also says he's a recovering alcoholic. I think he writes about that aspect in a lot of his songs, and I read a long time ago that those were the inspiration to the songs "Evil Angel" and "Dance with the Devil."
  10. Really? Why do you think so? Is it because of the occasional death growls? Actually a lot of Burnley's songs are about recovery/redemption. Like "I Will Not Bow" (actually the chorus in particular) Fall Now the dark begins to rise Save your breath, it's far from over Leave the lost and dead behind Now's your chance to run for cover I don't want to change the world I just wanna leave it colder Light the fuse and burn it up Take the path that leads to nowhere All is lost again But I'm not giving in I will not bow I will not break I will shut the world away I will not fall I will not fade I will take your breath away Fall Watch the end through dying eyes Now the dark is taking over Show me where forever dies Take the fall and run to Heaven All is lost again But I'm not giving in I will not bow I will not break I will shut the world away I will not fall I will not fade I will take your breath away And I'll survive, paranoid I have lost the will to change And I am not proud, cold-blooded fake I will shut the world away Open your eyes! I will not bow I will not break I will shut the world away I will not fall I will not fade I will take your breath away And I'll survive; paranoid I have lost the will to change And I am not proud, cold-blooded fake I will shut the world away Fall! Or take "Blow Me Away (feat. Sydney Duran)" They form a line, One at a time, Ready to play, (I can't see them anyway) No time to lose, We've got to move, Steady the helm. (I am losing sight again) [bridge] Fire your guns, It's time to roll, Blow me away, (I will stay in the mess I made) After the fall, We'll shake it off, Show me the way. [Chorus] Only the strongest will survive, Lead me to heaven when we die, I am a shadow on the wall, I'll be the one to save us all. There's nothing left, So save your breath, Lying in wait. (Caught inside this tidal wave) Your cover's blown, Nowhere to go, Holding your fate. (Loaded I will walk alone) [bridge] Fire your guns, It's time to roll, Blow me away, (I will stay in the mess i made) After the fall, We'll shake it off, Show me the way. [Chorus] Only the strongest will survive, Lead me to heaven when we die, I am a shadow on the wall, I'll be the one to save us all. Wanted it back (Don't fight back God) Wanted it back Blow me away [Chorus] Only the strongest will survive, Lead me to heaven when we die, I am a shadow on the wall, I'll be the one to save us all. Save us all! Do you know of a Breaking Benjamin song that's really depressing/dark cuz I can't think of any.
  11. To Rob Alvey or whom it may concern, I'm somewhat new to this website (I've been on for about a week) but do I need to ask park permission first before posting pictures from an amusement park onto Theme Park Review? I will be going to Cedar Point very soon and I want to post pics from the park on Theme Park Review. And I assume I can post pictures on the Photo Trip Report Archive Page? That's all I want to know. Thanks -yay101
  12. Brent Smith is one of the best. My personal favorite songwriter is Ben Burnley from Breaking Benjamin, have you heard of them? Like Red, he combines human daily struggles in his music. "Firefly" "You my friend You're a lot like them But I caught your lie And you know I did Now I'm lost in you Like I always do And I'd die to win 'Cause I'm born to lose [Chorus:] Firefly Could you shine your light Now I know your ways 'cause they're just like mine Now I'm justified As I fall in line And it's hard to try When you're open wide Take my hand We'll be off and then We'll come back again To a different land Now I like this way You can go away If you guess the name You cannot replace [Chorus] Bring me your enemies Lay them before me And walk away [Chorus] F--- you firefly Have you lost your light Now I hate your ways 'cause they're just like mine So you lost my friend Such a sorry end And I don't know why So I choke and smile " I really like the metaphors in this song. I think the firefly is evil/Satan (depending on your belief). Evil/Satan is tempting, but in the end, it hurts you. I don't know why, and this isn't even a famous song, but this song imo is pure genius. Also, have you heard of Skillet? I really think John Cooper is up there too with Brent Smith. Here's there slow song Lucy, which is actually, according to an interview, dedicated to a girl who was aborted and how the parents felt after about it. But it could also be interpreted many other ways which I love. "Hey Lucy, I remember your name I left a dozen roses on your grave today I'm in the grass on my knees, wipe the leaves away I just came to talk for a while I got some things I need to say [Chorus:] Now that it's over I just wanna hold her I'd give up all the world to see That little piece of heaven looking back at me Now that it's over I just wanna hold her I've gotta live with the choices i made And I can't live with myself today Hey Lucy, I remembered your birthday They said it'd bring some closure to say your name I know I'd do it all different if I had the chance But all I got are these roses to give And they can't help me make amends [Chorus] Here we are, now you're in my arms I never wanted anything so bad Here we are, for a brand new start Living the life that we could've had Me and Lucy walking hand in hand Me and Lucy never wanna end Just another moment in your eyes I'll see you in another life In heaven where we never say goodbye Here we are, now you're in my arms Here we are for a brand new start Got to live with the choices I've made And I can't live with myself today Me and Lucy walking hand in hand Me and Lucy never wanna end Got to live with the choices I've made And I can't live with myself today Hey Lucy, I remember your name"
  13. ^ Shinedown is a great band and Brent Smith is a great songwriter. My fav Shinedown lyrics: "Bully" "It's 8 AM, this Hell I'm in Seems I've crossed the line again For being nothing more than who I am So break my bones and throw your stones We all know that life ain't fair But there is more of us, we're everywhere We don't have to take this, back against the wall We don't have to take this, we can end it all All you'll ever be is a fading memory of a bully Make another joke while they hang another rope, so lonely Push them to the dirt till the words don't hurt Can you hear me? No one's gonna cry on the very day you die You're a bully Think it through, you can't undo Whenever I see black and blue I feel the past, I share the bruise With everyone who's come and gone My head is clear, my voice is strong, now I'm right here to right the wrong We don't have to take this, back against the wall We don't have to take this, we can end it all All you'll ever be is a fading memory of a bully Make another joke while they hang another rope, so lonely Push them to the dirt till the words don't hurt Can you hear me? No one's gonna cry on the very day you die You're a bully (Solo) It's 8 AM, the Hell I'm in! Your voice is strong, now right the wrong! All you'll ever be is a fading memory of a bully Make another joke while they hang another rope, so lonely Push them to the dirt till the words don't hurt Can you hear me? No one's gonna cry on the very day you die You're a bully All you'll ever be is a fading memory of a bully Make another joke while they hang another rope, so lonely Push them to the dirt till the words don't hurt Can you hear me? No one's gonna cry on the very day you die You're a bully We don't have to take this, back against the wall We don't have to take this, we can end it all (x4)" (from lyricsmode.com) "Unity" " I found a note with your name And a picture of us Even though it was framed And covered in dust It's the map in my mind that sends me on my way They say it's never too late To stop being afraid And there is no one else here So why should I wait? And in the blink of an eye the past begins to fade So have you ever been caught in a sea of despair? And your moment of truth Is the day that you say "I'm not scared" Put your hands in the air If you hear me out there I've been looking for you day and night Shine a light in the dark Let me see where you are 'Cause I'm not gonna leave you behind If I told you that you're not alone And I show you this is where you belong Put your hands in the air One more time I've seen a million miles Met a million faces Took all I knew To reach all these places [ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/unity-lyrics-shinedown.html ] And I'd do it again If it brings me back to you So have you ever been caught in a sea of despair? And your moment of truth Is the day that you say "I'm not scared" Put your hands in the air If you hear me out there I've been looking for you day and night Shine a light in the dark Let me see where you are 'Cause I'm not gonna leave you behind If I told you that you're not alone And I show you this is where you belong Put your hands in the air One more time Put your hands in the air Put your hands in the air If you hear me out there I've been looking for you day and night Shine a light in the dark Let me see where you are 'Cause I'm not gonna leave you behind If I told you that you're not alone And I show you this is where you belong Put your hands in the air One more time Put your hands in the air One more time...." (from metrolyrics) Although I have no idea what Unity is about, though. It just sounds inspirational.
  14. Granted, but then giga coaster wouldn't be so unique anymore if there were so many of them... I wish the Chaos rides came back.
  15. a.) "Not Alone" - Red "Slowly fading away You're lost and so afraid Where is the hope in a world so cold? Looking for a distant light Someone who could save a life You're living in fear that no one will hear your cries Can you save me now? I am with you I will carry you through it all I won't leave you, I will catch you When you feel like letting go 'Cause you're not, you're not alone Your heart is full of broken dreams Just a fading memory And everything's gone but the pain carries on Lost in the rain again When will it ever end? The arms of relief seem so out of reach But I, I am here I am with you I will carry you through it all I won't leave you, I will catch you When you feel like letting go 'Cause you're not, you're not alone And I'll be your hope when you feel like it's over And I will pick you up when your whole world shatters And when you're finally in my arms Look up and see love has a face I am with you I will carry you through it all I won't leave you, I will catch you When you feel like letting go 'Cause you're not, you're not alone And I will be your hope You're not alone And I will pick you up And I will be your hope And I will be your hope Slowly fading away You're lost and so afraid Where is the hope in a world so cold" 2.) "Meddler" - August Burns Red "This moment will soon pass us by. It's this notion inside all of us to prioritize through our selfish eyes. To be the bull behind the rampage, the reason for all the riot. We'll feed our flame before wasting time on everyone else's, with more problems and less pride. We'll feed our flame before wasting time on everyone else's, the gallows were not supposed to look like this. Oh God, we live in misery, lying here in desperation. We need you here more than anything right now...right now. If everything's relative, then why the emptiness in our souls? If everything's relative, then why the emptiness in our souls? Trying to untie the knot we thought we were untying our entire lives, we're busied up and burnt out.. Everyone together, we will strengthen ourselves. Everyone together, we will strengthen ourselves. Everyone together, we will strengthen ourselves. We will.... Because now we know you won't ever fly fast enough to make time stand still. You won't ever fly fast enough to make time stand still. Stop, listen, and learn. Stop, listen, and learn. You won't ever fly fast enough to make time stand still. Stop, listen, and learn. You won't ever fly fast enough to make time stand still. Stop, listen, and learn. You won't ever fly fast enough to make time stand still. Stop, listen, and learn. You won't ever fly fast enough to make time stand still. Stop, listen, and learn. " 3.) "The Middle" - Jimmy Eat World "Hey, don't write yourself off yet It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on. Just try your best, try everything you can. And don't you worry what they tell themselves when you're away. It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright). Hey, you know they're all the same. You know you're doing better on your own, so don't buy in. Live right now. Yeah, just be yourself. It doesn't matter if it's good enough for someone else. It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright). It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright). Hey, don't write yourself off yet. It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on. Just do your best, do everything you can. And don't you worry what the bitter hearts are gonna say. It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright). It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright)." (from azlyrics.com)
  16. The roughest coasters I've been on are Hurler at King's Dominion and Hoosier Hurricane at Indiana Beach. My back and neck hurt really bad after riding them. Another rough coaster is Demon at Six Flags Great America. But for me, I've ridden it three times, and it's only been bad two of those times.
  17. 1.) Grizzly at King's Dominion - boring in the front, completely insane if you sit in the back 2.) Thunderbolt at Kennywood - the drop right out of the station yanks you right out of your seat if you sit in the back 3.) Cornball Express at Indiana Beach - once again, sit in the back 4.) Renegade at Valleyfair! - amazing drop plus it just looks cool 5.) Viper at Six Flags Great America - the drop alone is just OK but the pause before it at the top makes it so much better
  18. The Crypt at King's Dominion - EIGHT inversions!!! Honorable mentions are the Jimmy Neutron ride (MOA), Looping Starship/Berserker (Valleyfair!/King's Dominion), Aero 360 and Pitt Fall (Kennywood), Drop Tower (King's Island), Revolution (Holiday World), Demon Drop (Dorney Park, but I rode it at CP), Fiddler's Fling (Six Flags Great America), and Skyhawk/Xtreme Swing and the Chaos rides (Cedar Point/Valleyfair!).
  19. New Jersey, cuz of SFGAd. Would you rather have Coney Island rebuild the Thunderbolt or the Tornado/Bobs?
  20. An awkward thing about it was how seriously I took it. In Computer Ed. class in grade school, we sometimes were allowed to play PC games. Whenever people played RCT, they just wanted to build roller coasters or Space Shot towers and crash them. I was like the only one who would build somewhat lifelike rides that were safe for the guests to ride, plus I was adding other flatrides and building an actual park. People were like, "Are you actually taking that seriously? You know it's just a game right?" And I was like, "Yeah this is what I want to do." It was a little awkward.
  21. Steel Eel. I like Magnum just the way it is. If Rock n' Roller Coaster could no longer have Aerosmith music, would you rather have Led Zeppelin (trying to bring back Led Zeppelin the ride...) or a choose-your-music thing like Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit?
  22. I spent a lot of time on roller coasters. I wasn't made fun of or anything, but I really was and still am the only roller coaster enthusiast in my grade school and now in high school, so I couldn't really talk roller coaster stuff with anyone. I spent a lot of time on Roller Coaster Tycoon (2 in particular, but I love the other ones, one of these days I'll post my parks that I still have on TPR). I spent so much time on stuff that while people were playing Xbox and watching NBA, I was designing my own parks on RCT and on paper. The only real issue is that I missed out on doing other things that people normally do, which made me get a lot of enemies and people who thought I was weird, plus I wasn't really taken seriously, nor am I still today. However, it did help for science fair cuz both of my projects were roller coaster based.
  23. Selena Gomez album, but I really don't like either of them. Which would you rather have go backwards: Flight Deck (King's Island) or Vortex (Canada's Wonderland)?
  24. Wow that ride looks insane. Maybe SFGAm could build one like that for 2014?
  25. 21 Big Macs! Which would you rather ride backwards: Nemesis (Alton Towers) or Raptor (CP)?
