  1. Side note question here: On Wikipedia, it says that the observation tower used to have a parachute drop. Is this true? If so, are there any images of it?
  2. Agreed. Shouldn't security also be punished since they allowed him into the park?
  3. http://www.wlwt.com/news/local-news/no-injuries-in-apparent-dryice-disneyland-blast/-/9837878/20336050/-/nq9fcp/-/index.html?absolute=true How did dry ice get in the park?
  4. I've never heard of something this atrocious.
  5. Airtime: S&S WTF factor : Intamin PPH capacity: Intamin Fear Factor : Intamin Uniqueness: S&S Overall : Intamin Review done.
  6. It seemed like CNN was applauding the efforts of the crew. It seems like RCCL will get POSITIVE publicity for their actions.
  7. And guests booked on future sailings that are canceled will get a full refund plus 50% off if/when they rebook. That is a great deal. No wonder why RCCL has a better PR record then Carnival does. I would be shocked if anyone spoke negatively of RCCL's response to this issue.
  8. They look so much better than Carnival! And the ship still has power!
  9. A fire broke out in a RCCL ship: http://www.nbcnews.com/travel/fire-breaks-out-aboard-cruise-ship-florida-6C10086722
  10. TPR stands for Theme Park Review not The Pivotal Rule. Back to business, I hate dealing with people entitled to have it their way. They try to diminish the functionality of a perfect system. Their acts harm theme park enthusiasts as if they were taking candy from a baby. I think parks should have an ejection system designed to kick them out of the park.
  11. Wow, what a dickish thing to say.. A complete and perfect example of why can't stand the majority of the Disneyland's AP clientele. Name calling?? Really?? That's how you communicate if you don't like someone else's opinion? Would you tolerate people calling you names on here? Most discussion websites don't appreciate that kind of behavior so why don't you show the same standard of respect... Don't dish it out unless you can take it when it comes back!!! *facepalm* Once again, thank you for demonstrating exactly why I can't stand Disneyland APers. Worst people in the theme park fan community. Sorry, they just are. Not all of them, mind you, but the majority of them make going to the SoCal Disney parks almost unbearable. Oh, and yes, when someone is being a dick, I'm going to call them out on it. And he was being a dick. Have a problem with that? Don't read TPR. Thanks. Exactly. And thank you for the backing. Seriously... FastPass is one of the most useful system to ever have been introduced to theme parks. It's changed how we visit theme parks and has created the term "virtual queue." Anyone that can't figure out how to use FastPass or complains about it, especially anyone that is a MEMBER OF THIS SITE, is an idiot. You have to be completely dumb if you're a theme park enthusiast and can't figure out FastPass. --Robb "I have a very low tolerance for dumb people..." Alvey Thanks. When I attended conferences in the past at WDW, Fastpass have enabled me to significantly reduce the time spent at the park, and increase the amount of time exploring other areas of the Resort.
  12. I've been on it over 3000 times. Welcome to the thousand ride club! Seeing as diamondback is a 3 minute ride, you can say that 20 runs equals one hour of continuous riding. By riding it over 3000 times you have spent 150 continuous hours on it, or 6 days, 6 hours, or more. Wow. That's crazy. And for your over 5000 runs on beast... Given that it is a 4 minute 10 second ride, you can say that in one hour you can ride it about 14.4 times. So 5000 runs equals about 348.8 continuous hours of riding, or 14 days, and nearly 13 hours. On those 2 coasters alone, you have spent nearly 21 days, or 3 weeks of continuous, non stop riding, not to mention that you said you have ridden those more than 5000 and 3000 times. That just blows my mind. That's crazy. I meant non-continuous. For the Beast it is about 15 rides, and 10 for Diamondback. Plus, I've also ridden Vortex a good 2000+ times. Also, my favorite seat on Diamondback is the seat one, row two, of the last car.
  13. Wow, what a dickish thing to say. A complete and perfect example of why can't stand the majority of the Disneyland's AP clientele. Oh, gee... I'm so sorry that the rules of the park weren't made specifically for YOU. Here's a pro tip. If you any figure out how to use FastPass, and make it work to your advantage, even with them now enforcing a rule that has been there since day one ... You're dumb. End of story. Robb is correct. I hate it when people think that they deserve to have the rules bent in their favor because of their poor planning. Rules are rules and if people can't abide by them, they should not attend the park then.
  14. Probably since Six Flags did not want to pay more for the 23 year old coaster. I'm just saying because wasn't Carolina Cobra one of the newer ones when it was moved?
  15. I think this proves that Tiger side Gwazi is going to be removed.
  16. Agreed 100%. I wonder if Mt. Olympus made a media B-Roll for TPR and other coaster clubs.
  17. Viper at Darien Lake had 5 and opened in 1982. The first 4 looper was carolina Cyclone that opened in 1980. So this is a few years before that but still fits into a realistic timeline. Corkscrew opened with three in 1976. I think it is perfectly realistic.
  18. Looks good. However I think the ride should have the handrails along the lift hill and brake run. Besides that it is a thrilling experience.
  19. Wouldn't a week delay and a June opening be the same thing?
  20. That seems extremely quick session for testing the ride. Can't wait to see a TPR POV of this ride.
  21. Supposedly, journalists were stranded on the ride's vertical lift hill during the media event.
  22. It looks like its been attached Backwards. I would be shocked if they turned Superman Backwards.
  23. Those are good. But what about AyeTanne's Orient Express?
