  1. ^ X's line used only the old fastpass line. None of the switchbacks were used at all. rode it 1st thing and waited 20 mins for front row. Went back and the line was nearly out the entrance and only waited 35-40 mins for the front again. If they were doing 5+ min dispatches, then it would've been 1+ hour. But the dispatches all day probably averages 3 to 3 1/2 mins. Goliath's line was nearly out to the "I" when i got in line and waited about 45 mins. Tatsu: got in line at 11:30 and although it was halfway down the hill, waited only an hour and 20 mins Although many of the lines looked long, they really were not bad at ALL.
  2. yeah i was there yesterday also and was suprised by a lot of the things you've already touched on like ninja and eruption. You forgot to mention though that X was running phenomonal yesterday. The longest dispatch was under 4 mins. Most of the time, one train would be hitting the brakes and the other would be tilting the seats back ready to dispatch. Sometimes, the train would dispatch before the other train unloaded and when it did, it was advanced to loading almost imediatley.
  3. It always kinda sucks to see coasters go. These one's i don't care about at all, so i don't really find it all that sad. Flashback was obvious. It's been SBNO for almost 4 years now. If they wanted to do something, it would've been done a while ago. As for Psyclone, it was getting around that time to scrapping it. It just sucked. On top of that, there was poor maintenance on it and it had incredibly low ridership (along with Flashback when it was open). It's a smart move on their part because it creates space for expansion. It also proves that the park IS turning around and that Shapiro really does want to transform every park. I guess he does see potential in this park after all.
  4. I was wondering if anyone had any photos of the outdoor queue section of Dueling Dragons. Specifically photos from before the Flying Unicorn was installed because they ripped out some sections of the queue to fit that in. I just really wanted to see what the outdoor area looked like because I have seen aerials from far away, but they're crap and the outdoor area looks MASSIVE (i still can't beleive that they built a 2 mile long queue). Also was it well themed out there or just some dreary forest theme. Also is any of the outdoor area still there besides the walk up to the castle. I mean i think there is but when i was last there this summer, i didn't notice anything, unless it's all gone or they have it roped off. Also, why did they add those ropes on the entrance steps. I was there in '01 and they weren't there and then it seems like they added them. I've noticed it before now, but i'm just wondering. Thanks
  5. i don't get it. Why didn't you check to see the hours of the park instead of assuming it would be open? That really sucks though. Funny too.
  6. Best: The Intamin Wooden Fart. Worst: - GASM's (SFGAdv) brake run Fart at the MCBR and the final breaks. - "Due to inclimate weather..." - "________ is experiencing minor technical difficulties.."
  7. went to Gadv today and KK had a rollback, w/out passengers though. Just thought everyone should know that KK CAN rollback. It is just really really rare.
  8. I think out of all the rockets, TTD rolls back the most. When i went to CP for 2 days last summer i saw it roll bcak 6x in those 2 days. I've never seen Storm Runner come even CLOSE to a rollback. It always FLIES over the top and everytime I ride it, It produces some extreme ejector air. for KK... I've seen it come REALLY close to a rollback, but have yet to witness one. As I was leaving the park once, the Green train (Gak?) was constantly barely making it over and going slower and slower as the runs went, so I am guessing it had to have rolled back after i left.
  9. here mine. Expedition Everest Indiana Jones: DL Deuling Dragons Space Mountain: WDW
  10. I'd say Expedition Ever... just kidding. That's the best scenery EVER imo. Worst. I have a bunch. All the mine themed coasters, except the BTMR's of Disney. I mean "Jacob Mining Co" (Silver Bullet), "Medusa Mining Co" (Medusa East) All the runaway mine trains. All of them to me are the runaway lame train. All the supermans are poorly themed. To me, they all have these GRAND entrances and these GRAND plaza's to the not so grand ride (except SFNE's superman). The ALL TIME tackiest themeing ever where they put all this effort into making it really good to make up for the REALLY bad ride was Viper at SFGAdv. I mean when you walk over from Medusa, you were like WOW cool! But when you walk over from Rolling Thunder you're like, "WOw cool, that can't be any tackier." They shoulda put it in Movie Town for it's hollywood style sets.
  11. ^ The Scorpion is a better deal. If you can afford either set (Scorpion or Dragon) Buy 2 sets of the Scorpion b/c then you have 60 ft of track. Plus 2 sets is $400 compared to the hefty $500 of the Dragon. I dunno how much track the Dragon has in a set though. I have the Dragon and it's great. There is so many designs you can do w/ it. I don't have the Scorpion though because when i got the Dragon for Christmas the Scorpion was priced at $275.
  12. ^ Opening day For KK had a line in which people reported they had waited for 10 hours because of the frequent breakdowns and a rainstorm that blew through holding up the line for a couple hours. I wasn't there though.
  13. 3 hrs for X in March, 2002 was hell. 4 hrs for X in March, 2005 was beyond hell. 2 1/2 hours for Deja Vu (at least there were no breakdowns), SFMM in March, 2002. SFMM literally does have the worst train operations in history. Not just for those 2, but for every coaster. 2 hours for El Toro this past Sunday on July 16th. 1 Train op with literally no shade. A bad sunburn. It got to the point where people would refuse to go further in the switchback so they could just stay under the sunshade. Nobody minded though. Oh yeah forgot to mention it was that recent heatwave that came through and it was 98*. A bad line was also Medusa (East) back in Fright Fest 2001. All the switchbacks were full and the line backed out to the sign. They were running 3 trains though so it was moving REALLY fast. 1 switchback - technical difficulties, w/e.... 2nd switchback - technical difficulties, annoying.... 3rd switchback - technical difficulties, grr!... stairs - technical d-efinately gonna get outa line! we waited 45 mins. Superman SFNE. My mom and I had already waited 1 and 1/2 hrs. It's perfectly sunny but they say "due to incliment weather" For the next hour it kept repeating it. Finally after 2 hrs and 45 mins we finally rode the airtime machine! Last one. Wicked Twister - Aug. 2005. 45 mins into the line the train comes down the backspike and goes forward going to its top speed. It e-stops and stops just before the front spike. Ok no big deal. 30 mins later it's fixed. 2 trains go and it does the same thing. 20 mins go by and it's fixed. 1st train loaded. Literally a millisecond after the launch the train stops in the station. 45 mins later it's fixed. finally after 2 hours and 50mins getting a nice tan/burn sitting on the sandy pavement queue feeling the nice breeze from the lake, i got to ride front row. Those are my bad experiences. I guess it's a lot considdereing most people had 1 or 2.
  14. You can still, I beleive, take pictures of the station from the train ride. It's the only memory that's left and the only peice of evidence that the ride was there, besides the huge open feild it sits on.
  15. Just got back from the ACE Coaster Con in FL and found out some interesting news. My mom was talking to people at the big banquet and she doesn't know much about coasters. It's me that's the absolute fanatic. well...... when i got back from looking at some auction items they had, my mom said that the guys at our table said that the '07 CP project is an Intamin Wingwalker. She was confused and I knew imediatley what that was. It's a 4-d, but the seats don't spin, they sit on the outside of the track. With the intamin track on site and the "We're goin' in a whole new direction" quote meaning it's something completley unprecedented and unexpected, it gives this design, the Intamin Wingwalker, a likely canidate for the ride.
  16. The Big Shot on the top of the Strasphere Tower in Las Vegas. No questions asked. Especialy since I did it in the dead of night.
  17. I think the best that they can do in regard to the other coasters is shut them down now. Examine the problem and find the cause for the accident on Wild Thing. Inspect the trains of the other Morgan rides to make sure that this could not happen on any of their other rides. It'll be easy for Steel Force because that is already closed because they are waiting for a chain lift replacement. It is an xtremely rare occurance for this to happen, but when there are two problems in a similar regard to eachother from the same manufacturer, then you may want to pay attention a little bit. You have Steel Dragon 2000 with its wheel flying off and bringing the train to a halt. And then you have this, which is a lot worse sounding than SD2000 (an entire car spliting from the train and partially derailing at the same time!). I am shocked at how lucky the riders are. I mean if you even think about what might have actually happened if this happened earlier in the ride, final destination 3 would have become a reality (the derailing part of the train, not the other unrealistic chaos).
  18. I think the last one from what i remember when i was there last year (from NJ) is El Nino by Agnelli and Nelson
  19. And now it is available at weeweeslap.com!
  20. DF 1992 is now availble at Coastersims.com!!!
  21. so do i just create a folder, stick the .nlpack in there and zip the folder? If so then yeah, i'll still do it.
  22. my bad! I almost forgot that WWS does not accept .nlpack files. Well, I guess this coaster will only be available at CS.
  23. Well...... let's see. Thanks to the much appreciated help from Riscit, we have worked together to fix the issues with the ride. He has packaged it and i am shooting for a release tomorrow on weeweeslap.com and Coastersims.com. EXCITING!!!! Right now, i am doing the final stages of noticing small problems. A of now, there are none. So let's hope it is done by tonight, and RELEASED TOMORROW!!!
  24. hahaha. It's so funny that you mentioned i should take a video of it in NL. I just plugged my video camera in to charge it so i could attempt a video! I heard there was a video making program for NL, but i could be wrong. Most likely it is for Windows and i have a Mac. w/e if you want to know more about DF: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21005&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=50 mine should be that long post right there. A basic history about the ride. there is also this: http://history.amusement-parks.com/drachenfire.htm Which is a COMPLETE history about the ride and it's problems.
  25. *UPDATE* Sorry there has not been one in a while, but for those who have been watching that NLDC page have noticed that the ride went on hold. It was because there was a major issue with the 3ds and I had to re-do it all. It sucks, but hey, it happens. well...... .....The 3ds re-do is finally done!! The only new 3ds that was not there before was that i added the maintenance road that branches off and goes under the camel back and out behind the MCBR and then goes up to the miday entrance to the area and ends. There are pictures in the update to explain. I am going to attempt the wooden gaurdrails along the road too. Other than that... I think everything is now done - again. lol. Some track modifications were made too. Most notibly being the drop off the MCBR for the '92 version. I have now included the bad pumps, bumps and transition in it, so PLEASE when it comes out, do NOT mark down for that because it only makes it more accurate. Some other mods were made but they are not significant in any way. Also the '98 version will not be available when '92 is released. It WILL however come out about 2 weeks after '92 just because i find it frustrating to work on 2 projects at once. anyway, here's the link: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p1092
