Six Flags St. Louis (SFStL) Discussion Thread

^Not sure if it would fit exactly, but I think a Huss Giant Frisbee would be great if Xcalibur ever has to go. I've seen families get lost in that dead pathway because of no signage or rides guide them if they've never been to the park. Now that the bumper cars are gone, the Rush Street Flyer looks kind of awkward up there in the "Illinois" section. That wall behind the ride doesn't fit well at all. -

I've never actually done the Aqualoop, but from what I hear the drop is more sudden on a Superloop and it has a smoother slide. Also little people can't get stuck in the slide so wait times don't back up.
-
I agree! I also like how the Skybox( or whatever they're calling it now) on Superloops are much more vertical than the Aqualoops. If only there was a way to prevent the capsule from fogging in the heat, it would be perfect. I think I blacked out on the pullout of the drop, but I'm really not sure as I couldn't see/hear/feel anything except water and blackness.

A couple years back, Mr. Freeze valleyed not long before we went to go ride, and since it was closed we decided to ride batman. It wasn't until we got up the lift I discovered the train had valleyed and was covered with a tarp. How they valleyed NTAG, I don't know. That's just weird, weather conditions mut have been pretty bad. I don't know why they didn't build the Mr Freeze evac platforms in STL, as it valleys every once in a while too and the people have to wait for a crew with a ladder to get them out, one by one.

It's kind of a good thing when a woodie sways because it means its absorbing shock, but NOT like the original Rattler did. It just looked unstable. The ride slammed against the exit ramp for goodness sake. It needed some extra supporting or something. No wonder the ride deteriorated so fast... Ok.....it NEVER slammed against the exit ramp. There's was several feet of clearance between the ride and the actual station house/exit ramp. The Rattler never had that much force and speed coming out of that tunnel to cause it to slam into the exit ramp. Sorry, but I have to call BULL SH1T on your post. Umm... Maybe you should watch the video... It clearly knocks into the ramp wall- pretty hard too.

The problem is that in the hairpin turns section, the turns are really close together( within feet) so it's hard to get back up to speed while correcting the turn.

Best Family Coaster

My vote goes to Jack Rabbit at Seabreeze. It's not to high or fast, but enough to give some thrill for everyone. -

Realistic?? Sounds more like pessimistic to me. ^ I've been on just about every other type of B&M except a floorless. If its anything like a good, smooth sit-down combined with an invert, I'm all for it! -

There is a limit, though I don't know what it is. It must be very high, as I waited 30-45 mins for a couple of the coasters. -
