  2. Very very standard flat rides with the exception of a Zierer inverted flying carpet, roller coasters are mostly clones or has uninspiring layout, water park only has basic slides, nearly everything is in its own rectangular block.
  3. While there is room for expansion, this park doesn't feel like it is designed to get much bigger in size because it is surrounded by parking lot, maintenance area, roads, etc. They can certainly keep removing rides for new room, which gives me a feeling this park will eventually turn into something like SFMM with lots of coasters but no good theme and small amount of flat rides.
  4. That's a restroom. And there is a restaurant called Celebration Cafe right next to it, the map lists it as a part of Mickey Avenue but it's like half a mile away from Mickey Avenue.
  5. Yes this whole section behind Tomorrowland gives a feeling of TSL.
  6. I don't think the capacity of the HK version is high enough to handle Shanghai's insane crowd. At this moment, Roaring Rapids has 120 minutes line and 7DMT and Soarin' has 75 minutes line. And today is Tuesday. Everest clone would be great for Shanghai!
  7. ^And make it even more boring? Ok seriously though I think that would be awesome.
  8. ^Wait you've been on SkyRush and you think Mamba has the strongest negative G?
  9. ^^ To me it just seems like you can't control yourself from being an asshole even at the happiest place on earth. Taking advantage of other people's trust is only going to take good things away from all of us. That happened to me at Shanghai too, and I gave my paper fast pass to the CM at the exit because that's common sense! SMH
  10. ^ Surprisingly, nearly everybody I asked has watched the TRON movie and they pretty much all agreed it was a giant WTF on their faces but the special effects are cool. Hmm I think recent Disney movies are just generally popular all around the world. I did hear Zootopia is bigger in Asian countries than North America though (My mom watched it three times, she's not even a Disney fan). I'm sure if there is a ride themed to Zootopia, even something as simple as Pooh, people will eat it up.
  11. Fantastic report and love that video! I can't wait to go there somewhere in the future!
  12. I'm in Beijing, capital of China and also a huge city. I've been a city mouse my entire life but I miss West Lafayette, IN so much!
  13. Nagashima Spa Land looks like a real RCT park.
  14. ^I think a Midway Mania clone would be better at the second park. Maybe a trackless dark ride? I can definitely see something like Ratatouille themed to Toy Story in this park.
  15. 1. SWO is like 2 hours away from BGT and I bet 80% of the people that has been to BGT has already been to SWO. 2. BGT and SWO doesn't have the same target audience. 3. How much extra airtime will you get anyway? 4. About the combo idea, I'm not sure if the structure can take the amount of stress from two rides not to mention one of them is a huge a$$ drop tower that pulls 4G's during brake.
  16. I can't even describe it, it's sort of the culture that a park creates becoming the soul of the park that makes me fall in love. I wasn't a Disney person until I really calmed down and enjoyed HK, then Tokyo blew me away, then a revisit to Anaheim, then Shanghai. While I absolutely love Cedar Point and think it's the best amusement park in the world, Disney feels like it has a culture. I mean, what other park has the power to call all of the employees Cast Members, let their employees be proud of that name and make their guests respect that name? What other park can make someone dream about going there for years and years and when they finally go there, they can find the child in their heart? Plus I feel like being amazed by Soarin', Pirates of the Caribbean (new one) and Journey to the Center of the Earth is very different from being amazed by Outlaw Run, Maverick and Dodonpa. It's the kind of feeling that makes you tear up and think about just how incredible human imagination is. Not to mention all the detailed theming that make you realize they are not just making money, they are putting their heart and soul to create dreams. I love to people watch at Disney parks, sometimes I even wish I am a photographer to record some beautiful moments. The die-hard Star Wars fans clapping and cheering when Hyperspace Mountain pull into the station; the little girl empowered by all the hardest routes of Challenge Trails; the old couple wearing matching Disney shirts, holding hands and walking around Tokyo Disneyland; The family taking a photo at the exit of Grizzly Mountain after they rode their first roller coaster together; the group of friends high-fiving when they found their fourth hidden Mickey, and hundreds more moments like that I whitnissed. I feel like Disney's effort makes me want to love their parks and be a part of the magic. I've only been a Disney park fan for a bit over a year and I don't know how to sing 95% of the Disney songs, heck I don't even remember what happens in The Lion King. But when I go to a Disney park, I get a different feeling that is hard to describe that makes me fall in love.
  17. Daredevil, it never lets down.
  18. That does sound like a very low capacity system if they are dispatching every 40 seconds. I believe the turntables are not the reason why the capacity is low, Disney rides are designed to eat the lines and they will buy those Chiapas turntables from Intamin if they need it. As someone stated before, they did not do soft opening and it sounds like CM needs more training. Just give it a few weeks until the crew is ready.
  19. ^You need to look into how Euro Fighter/Infinity coaster lift works and AE isn't mirrored at some parts of the track. I was just listing some discussions about classifications that happened before, I mostly agree with you anyway.
  20. I don't think Disney is that disorganized. Plus since when did ScreamScape became a reliable source of info? Or ever was for a minute...
  21. Wow the speed is unreal! Especially the twist on the second hill. I'm actually wondering if they intentionally run it faster just to make sure the train goes through the course just like B&M. The crazy fast transitions made it look like the train is being thrown around quite violently actually.
  22. Positive: Shuttle Loop front row and Boomerang back row. Negative: Dodonpa top hat first row, Big Boom first drop back row, Cyclops Drop of Death back row and Lightning Run finale. Lateral: Beast and Python in Bamboo Forest. Acceleration: Dodonpa Deceleration: YOLOcoaster final brake, that was pretty bad.
