Thunder Run was built by Dinn and both Hurlers were built by International Coasters. Does it means International Coasters is worse than Dinn? -

TR: Chimelong Ocean Kingdom With FOTR POV!
gerstlaueringvar replied to gerstlaueringvar's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
One of my classmates visited the park yesterday and it wasn't as packed as the day I visited. FOTR's line was around one hour with two train operation. The giant aquarium's wait time was around 40 minutes and she thinks it's somehow an uncomfortable ride. She thinks the theming of the park is very good and everything runs very smoothly for a new park. Good job, Chimelong! Photo posted with her permission. Nemo! This is their night time show. We were shooting the POV of FOTR so we missed it. Look how fantastic it is! -
Best coaster ride when raining

Does Dodonpa run in the rain? I guess not... But imagine the most intense acceleration followed by rain drops hitting in your face at 107mph! -

If they want totally unique rides, they can try the S&S Free Fly and ABC solar powered coaster. But Aquatrax would be a great choice. -
TR: Chimelong Ocean Kingdom With FOTR POV!

^ Thanks! Forgot to say, FOTR ran the trains with red lights and green lights. The train with red lights is smoother than the train with green lights. And seems like both trains already have some wheels being replaced. I've heard the construction work was done by Zhongye (one of the better Chinese knock-off companies) so I think the roughness and wheels issues might have something to do with it. -

I think it was mentioned a while ago at Weird a Coaster Fact thread. Yeah, I did. People keep coming to me asking about this as I'm the local roller coaster "expert" and in the beginning it was kind of funny but now I'm starting to get annoyed. I think I have explained the NTaG accident at least 20 times, at least 10 mins each. But it feels great when only you can answer the question Back to the topic, how does Griffon compare to SheiKra?

CEDAR POINT FANBOY ALERT - Gatekeeper does have a forceful part. The dive-drop-Immelmann combo. I'm not as in love with the ride as I used to be, but once they get a permanent vest fix, lighting fix, and roughness fix, the ride will be great. Yes, I sound like a troll. They may be able to sort out the restraints issue as well as the lights but I'm not sure what they can do about the roughness as it looks like a design flaw. Hopefully future ones won't suffer from this problem but with the rides already built it might not be that simple. X-Flight is glass smooth but the newer wing riders are getting very rough. Maybe the trains are not okay to deal with higher speed?

Here we go, Part 2 of Chimelong's awesome Ocean Kingdom TR. Photos are blurry because iPhone don't take high quality night time photos. Enjoy! Continue with the last picture of Part one, this is some random themeing at the queue of Deep Ocean Odyssey. Look at the crowd! I don't understand why people like to push forward. TAKE THE TUNNEL AT ZERO MILES PER HOUR! This is filled with gel, kind of gross. Our host is a robot fish. There are three cameras in the queue that you can take a picture of yourself. You'll appear on the bubbles later. Very nice entertainment. Projectors hiding in the bubbles. Hi, I'm a robot fish and I can only drive a yellow submarine under water because I'm not designed to swim like a fish... What were they thinking? MACK!!! These trains are using hydraulic lap bars! At first, I thought this is some kiddie dark ride just like Scoopy Doo without the guns. See? This actually made me worried a lot because we waited 30 minutes for it. Nice theme though. Jelly fish! I really thought that was it until... ...We found out we were under the world's biggest aquarium! I even want to live in there if I'm a fish. Those lights would give us the perfect temperature. Very nice looking home. First Manta credit! The water is actually very deep. Reef! I'm a coaster nerd so my mind immediately flew all the way to Gold Reef City... Look! A house keeper! That's a lot of fish! I don't know why there is a giant volcano, but it looks amazing. Woo-hoo! Details make this thing awesome. The cars turn to the volcano and flip backwards a little bit. This looks very nice. Did I get hit on my head? Details Hello, new roommates, how was your day? Look! Another house keeper for us! Manta credit #2 Now you don't need a submarine? Golden loop could fit perfectly here. Being a fish can't stop me from having Anton Schwarzkopf goodness. We can put Tower of Terror here! And Anaconda here. Hi, we are here again. FOTR's color scheme looks even better in the afternoon. Wild Parrot! AIRTIME! Really, the first drop has some very nice floater, even better than back row WildFire. Twisty! Dive! Feel the G force! Feel the drowsiness... Feel the vest harness getting tighter and tighter... And feel the pain on your shoulders. Then feel the headache. Feel the sense of hanging. Woo-hoo! Again, Chimelong really put a lot of money on their detailed theming. SFMM removed their tree and Chimelong built a much better one. Wow! Did I just said a Chinese park won a Six Flags park? Even if it's probably the worst one? Track! I didn't get the photo of the train at the top of the Zero G Roll sadly. But that makes me forget about the crappy GateKeeper! The start of the snooze fest. Have I mentioned the last 10 close up FOTR pictures were taken on our way to the fresh water aquarium? Seriously? How could they theme everywhere so great? More fish. Now I started to thing being a fresh water fish is better than staying in the ocean. That's a lot of fish! I remember seeing these kind on a restaurant near Chimelong Paradise, maybe they just bought some from there and sent them to Ocean Kingdom? Eel! This time, it's not made of steel. In case you forget this is a Chinese park. This is the queue of the aquarium which Deep Ocean Odyssey goes underneath. Keep going... And here is the end of the outdoor queue. Maybe there are more people indoor. It's not a coaster so no thanks. Pink octopus. Where's the shark to make a Sharktopus? Happy BUMP BUMP BUMP? Is that a Gravity Group bumper car? Random thing that makes this park awesome. There's a sea water pool that kids can play with sands in. Here's where they can wash their hands Sea Lion show, also well themed. Nice trick! Again, Walrus Splash is my favorite themed ride but I choose FOTR's queue over WS's queue. LOGO. Finally we got to see how on earth this giant blue whale is used for. I think they can make a creepy attraction that takes you inside a giant whale just like the one in Mexico. Now FOTR's LED lights are on! They have three trains with different color lights. Red, green and blue. For those of you who like to see one of the best looking coaster trains closely... Brake run. Here we go. If I stand further, the sensors would stop the ride automatically so this is as far as I can go. This restraint needs to click, it is not hydraulic locked like NTaG's. I used to think they are putting too many different colors together but it looks absolutely better than GateKeeper and X-Flight. At least that's what I think. After the ride closed, we took a short backstage tour to the transfer track, storage track and the maintenance room Closer look. Also as the preview for part three, a lot of permitted nerd shots and pictures of Chimelong's fancy ocean themed hotel. Now comment to tell me how do you think of this park and if you wand to have a visit during a TPR tour! It's almost 100% sure that TPR 2016 China tour is happening. Or if you can't wait that long, PM me and we could plan a visit together. I can't wait to come back to the park!!!
