Trip Advice: Atlantic Seaboard Piers
michaellynn4 replied to ElvisLuv's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Three Brothers Pizza, for the novelty of having a pizza slice the size of a manhole cover. Boooooo. #Seaside4Life Seriously, though, Seaside Heights is a bit farther north than all of these other locations, so it probably wouldn't be a feasible option for you. -
Favorite Log Flume

How would people feel about adding soap to a log flume? The ride ops at Six Flags Great Adventure used to do this at the end of the first couple of seasons. I'd ride it! -

Wasn't something replacing the Chic-Fil-A over there? -

Can we get off the politics, guys? It dominates enough of our lives everywhere else at this point. I never got the whole "Millennium Forceless" argument, either. It may not be the most intense coaster I've been on, but it's still a whole lot fun and delivers an all-around excellent ride. "Millennium Forceless" implies it's basically a glorified mine train, which it certainly is not. -
^^ Agree 100%. While there are certainly occasional examples of trolls creating accounts with the sole intent of posting incendiary comments in the hopes of "getting the ban hammer", I think most of the banned just don't properly let emotions dissipate before acting out. I'm sure that the initial moment of realizing you're banned is an emotional one, but instead of taking the time to cool off and doing some honest-to-God self-analysis to reflect on what they themselves may have done to cause it, they choose to let their emotion consume them and do further stupid stuff like posting stupid comments on their stupid pages to other stupid people about their stupid actions with some stupid rationalization how their stupid ass wasn't the stupid one at fault. Accountability is a lost trait these days.

Man, I would visit the s**t out of a park that had the balls to actually have that verbatim in their policies. -

Love that double down! -
Maybe we can just sneak in one night and give it a good push. Yea, it's scheduled to be a 131ft tall Ferris wheel. I decided to take a stroll down memory lane and read back through this thread. Glad to see this place finally start to bounce back after the one-two punch of Sandy and the boardwalk fire. Here's hoping the Seaside Park portion of the boardwalk begins to redevelop soon.

No offense, but... Unless there's a magical continental breakfast that spontaneously appears in the kitchen each morning, ain't gonna work for me. #IndoorKitty -

I failed to mention that I'm not really fond of vacationing with people (other than Rikki, of course). For example, we were basically guilted into participating in a big family camping weekend up off of the Delaware River in NY somewhere. Even with having our own room in a cottage of similar design, it still was a nightmare. We made the most of it, but I'm just not one for "group vacations" like that. In my mind, a true vacation should be designed to get away from all of that. -

They're not that bad, but I'm forever scarred by the experience of staying at Knoebels. Rikki made me sleep in a tent. A goddamn tent. Like a barbarian, or a Boy Scout. That said, I now get to say I slept about fifteen feet away from Twister. Still not worth it. My idea of roughing it is staying in a Motel 6.
