  1. HangTime yesterday at Knott's. That was the last coaster I will ride until our East Coast Trip in a little over a week!
  2. Six Flags Magic Mountain tomorrow. I am expecting very heavy crowds (since it's a Saturday in June), but I'm mostly just going to check out WCR construction as well as catch a few rides early in the morning right at opening before it gets totally slammed around noon. Also, our Mid-Atlantic Trip starts in less than two weeks and I am PUMPED. Heading to Six Flags America, Kings Dominion, Carowinds, and Six Flags Over Georgia!
  3. I'm glad to see Cedar Fair take a presence in Texas, even though it is just water parks. It would be very cool if (years down the road) they developed a theme park in the Galveston/Houston area. That would be a wonderful location for a mid-size Cedar Fair park. But that's just dreaming...
  4. I really like the color scheme they chose for West Coast Racers. It contrasts with Ninja but also blends in perfectly with the area. I'll be here on Saturday (mostly just to get my sister her membership activated), so despite the crazy crowds I'm expecting, I will try to grab some photos of WCR if any new progress is made by then.
  5. Nice report. I will get up to Canada's Wonderland someday, maybe once they get a solid 4th "big" coaster. There does seem to be a pretty large drop off in their coaster lineup after the 3 B&Ms. In fact, I think I am more excited for the wide array of flat rides at the park than I am for any of the major coasters!
  6. ^That's wonderful! Happy Pride Month everyone! I've been out since November of 2017 and it has been incredible. I'm closer to my siblings, parents, and best friend than I've ever been. It feels great. Still VERY single though... sigh. I also still want to tell my ultra-conservative, highly-religious grandparents soon. That will be fun. Luckily my parents have my back, which I am so grateful for. But I really do think it will hit my grandparents harder than anyone I've told thus far. #wishmeluck
  7. Sierra Sidewinder yesterday. I was very impressed with its operations too. A full queue only took 35 minutes!
  8. ^That's exciting to hear. I love B&M Hypers and hear Goliath was one of the best out there. I can't wait to ride it for the first time in a few weeks.
  9. I agree that the Giant Discovery restraints are quite restrictive. I'm not even tall (just over 5'9") and the restraints hit my shoulders snugly. My 6'0" brother refuses to ride the ride, not because it makes him sick, but because the first time he rode it (talking about CraZanity here), the restraints pushed on his shoulders and chest so hard that he was miserable by the end of the ride. He's only 6'0" and average build. I would love to ride a lap bar version of this ride someday, like the one at Liseberg.
  10. Nice report. I have very similar opinions based on my visit in 2017. I can't wait to be back later this month to ride Copperhead as well as the 3 big B&Ms too.
  11. It will be very interesting to see both Hersheypark and Kings Island add their large B&M Hyper/Giga simultaneously. Despite the height and speed differences, they are the same type of coaster and even have very roughly similar layouts, and the two parks aren't *that* far from each other in a big picture view. Very interesting, for me at least. Praying to the coaster gods that CGA is next to receive one...
  12. I was wondering the same thing. I wouldn't mind at all if it were made by Premier, but why did we rule out Intamin? Wasn't that the original manufacturer listed somewhere when it was leaked? Either way, a multi-launcher / shuttle coaster will be a nice addition to SWO. I am still in shock that each major SeaWorld / Busch park is getting a major coaster in 2020.
  13. ^^Interesting idea, but Volcano's footprint is NOT small. The volcano alone took up tons of room, along with the giant curve outside the volcano and the land behind it, Kings Dominion can pretty much fit anything they want in that spot. I really would like to see a record-breaking B&M Flyer themed to some African bird / safari themed. There's nothing like it in the area, it is extremely marketable, and it can break records pretty easily since there aren't too many large-scale flyers out there. A Wing Coaster would be great as well, and could work with this theme too.
  14. Just to be clear, this is not the removed ride from Great Adventure. That one went to La Ronde and is now called Chaos. This is a brand new (and larger) model, just like what SFGAm got last year.
  15. I thought Firehawk and Batwing felt exactly the same. Neither one was worse or better than the other. I did, however, think Nighthawk was a step down since the whole ride was rougher, especially the moments where you lay on your back. Obviously no more Firehawk, but I will be back on Batwing and Nighthawk later this month so I'm curious if my opinions will change (assuming Batwing is even open).
  16. Considering that SeaWorld San Diego is getting a B&M Dive in 2020, I would be very surprised if SeaWorld Orlando did too. Although I suppose some type of package deal is possible? The video definitely suggests height/big drop, and that doesn't align much with the family launched coaster concept we've heard about recently. I'm definitely going to follow this!
  17. Awesome update! Ok, but seriously... DUDE! How did you make that Sky Rocket II? It's so incredibly accurate! And since there is no shuttle mode available, how does it even operate?! I am impressed to say the least. Please DM me your secret! lol
  18. Thanks for sharing. I'm happy to see 4 cars per train rather than 3 like in the animation. That extra car can really make a difference in capacity.
  19. Actually, it is the exact opposite! The one at SFOG has 7 cars per train whereas the ones at SFGAm and SFGAdv have 8.
  20. ^You make a very good point. I never really considered that, but it makes sense. I would be thrilled if I lived near Kings Island. Being from the West Coast, I am very jealous that North America is getting its FIFTH giga coaster, all of which are located in the same time zone. Whether it's more similar to I305, or Fury, or Leviathan, or Millennium Force, us Californians would *gladly* take this giga off your hands!
  21. I visited yesterday and yes, I saw it occur. It is a very small spritz of water (imagine a squirt gun), so it won't "soak" you. Just a small surprise for some of the smaller kids messing with it! In general, I loved the revamp. Operations were excellent (the entire queue from under the entrance sign to loading took 50 minutes). Part of this is because there are no real "cattle pen" areas of the queue, which is very nice for theming and keeping guests entertained with scenery. It all looked very well put-together, especially the log cabin portion of the queue. I'm glad Knott's did this and it was long overdue.
  22. A Zamperla Giant Discovery would be a wonderful addition to the park. I'm betting on a Harley Quinn theme given its location.
  23. I hope Batwing is operational when I visit next month, but I won't hold my breath. I only got one ride on it during my last visit in 2016, and with Firehawk now gone I would like to take advantage of riding this before they all go extinct. I enjoy the Vekoma Flyers quite a bit aside from Nighthawk's death corkscrews...
  24. Sierra Sidewinder at Knott's. A very underrated ride!
  25. Knott's Berry Farm tomorrow to check out Calico River Rapids. Hopefully Memorial Day itself isn't as crowded as the Saturday and Sunday. After that, aside from possibly another usual trip to Knott's or SFMM, my next park will be Six Flags America in late June!
