  1. I didn't really like the restraints on Superman at SFA but I loved Millennium Force's restraints. Bizarro/S:TR's restraints are somewhere in the middle. They would be a lot better if the bar was smaller like what was originally planned. Seems like a pretty bad idea to go with one train for a whole year. I doubt they would be able to run one of each.
  2. Looks like an amazing hill, its like a mini El Toro hill. Anyone else notice they took the track off from the bottom of the lift? Kinda weird, they might have done it a while ago but just realized it.
  3. Well the audio is being removed, and that is most of the issue. I am sure they are also going to strip the trains down and replace stuff as well. I can easily see new restraints (not different) because the ones now look pretty bad, same with the seats. I wish they would get a smaller restraint like it was designed to have (like Toros) as well but I can't see them doing that. But you never know.
  4. I think that is what they are doing. The top of the hill looks like it is old paint and the bottom part looks freshly painted. Hopefully they get rid of all the purple on the tracks. We will see about the supports, but they probably don't really need to. Maybe touch up a few spots but the blue on the supports still looks really good. I would rather have them put more time into painting the track than the supports.
  5. Look what has begun at SFNE! Going to be pretty weird riding it next week lol.
  6. Pretty sure I remember that RMC re-tracked Thunder Run. I would guess that the manufacturers of RMC coasters would be a little annoyed, but they probably wouldn't care a ton if their coasters were to be RMC'd.
  7. I hope you guys are getting plenty of rides in on your flat rides, because big changes are coming! I believe the director of ops at SFNE is Pete Carmichael, and he seems like a pretty cool guy.
  8. You can tell the ops at SFNE always speed up once the park is almost closed. Its pretty funny. The ops are pretty iffy at SFNE, Bizarro is sometimes pumping out trains but most times this year it has been stacking like crazy. Same with Cyclone. It is pretty unfortunate. Boulder Dash at LC has been cranking out trains the second half of the season, my last two visits the trains were ready well before the other hit the brake run. I also heard the ops cheering when they hit a 57 second load time which is pretty good. With Cyclone, they really need to fix the assigned seating thing. I think they should extend the quene for the very front and the very back out a little and allow people to wait there. Then assign people randomly to the other seats. That would be pretty awesome. Or just do what Bizarro does and allow about two trains worth of people to the station and keep adding guests as people board. And they should figure out what is wrong with Cyclone. I shouldn't have my seat vibrating the whole ride. It is funny how SFNE always seems to mess up their coaster trains.
  9. Yeah this is definitely the best Graveyard season for the park besides the Clown haunt being closed. But I would probably rather have more actors roaming than that. There are actors everywhere this year. Also Wildcat is closed for the year. So that should answer the roughness question haha. It's not bad except for a few parts. No idea why it is closed.
  10. Phobia construction has begun! Looking great! Here are a few extra bits of info as well. -the entrance tunnel is crazy awesome this year, thick fog, lights, and more. -the clown haunt was not set up this year. The actors roaming the park seem to have doubled though, there are a ton and they are really good. -BD is using the new sound system and has music playing. I heard an auto spiel might be used next year. -Down Time has new sound effects at the top of the tower, it used to have them many years ago.
  11. El Toro definitely has the strongest and craziest airtime, especially the RT hill, it's insane. Bizarro/STR is great as well, the hill before the spaghetti bowl is amazing. Boulder a Dash has tons of air but nothing crazy ejector. I love the two hills after the turnaround and all of the double ups and triple up.
  12. I forgot to add this, but I am pretty sure these trains would make Green Lantern at SFGA 100% better. Just seems like a waste to scrap any train, why not just keep them around for parts.
  13. Wow, can't believe they would just dump the trains somewhere and not try to sell them/take parts off of them. They look pretty much un-touched. I hope someone is able to pick up some parts or maybe even a whole car.
  14. Haven't had the time to get a lot of progress done due to college and family issues, but I got a little work done today. Hopefully my brother will work on it more next month.
  15. Yeah I am having a great time with the game. I love the interface and how everything works. There are a few things that need to be fixed but overall it works pretty good. For example completing a circuit is sometimes a pain and it seems like the coasters need to be able to go higher and steeper.
  16. Yes, it is still open for the remainder of the year. Seems like they may start painting some areas of the ride prior to closing day though. Would be cool if they did some track sections too like Rougarou haha. I think they are also planning an event or ert for Bizarro's final day as well.
  17. It begins... What if they paint a few track sections lol. Pic from Dennis.
  18. ^light it on fire. Thanks, I think it's looking pretty awesome. I am just using small wooden sticks and gimp. It will be on hold for a while until I get a chance to work on it when I'm home from college, unless my brother gets some things done. I'll try to get some updated pics soon, it will look nice with the stall done.
  19. Hey everyone, I have been working on a model of Wicked Cyclone for a while now and I thought I would share it here! I am not going to be able to update a ton because of college but It will be finished eventually! I plan on making it as realistic as possible with every detail and all the theming. These pictures are a little old but they will do for now, I added more supports to the first overbank, supports in the north section, and track to the stall. I think it looks pretty awesome!
  20. I am loving the game, I love the style and interface. Very cool and its a much needed alternative to RCT2. There are a few things I am still figuring out but overall I am impressed. They definitely need to add stuff but its a great start.
  21. They wouldn't specify where the sound/audio would be, but they said not the train. My guess is on the lift and brakes. If they got El Toro restraints too that would be wonderful.
  22. I asked that question knowing that could happen. She answered it like the person that asked it was stupid and said of course they will be red and blue. So that is good I guess. Looking back there is no confirmation of the physical headrest removal. The audio is going though, so I assume the headrests are going to. If not SFNE has no idea what they are doing.
  23. The live chat going on right now. Jen also said that they will not be replacing the row from the 5th car which I find hard to believe. But whatever. There will also be sounds and audio throughout the ride in a few unknown places.
  24. The headrests/audio will be removed for Superman! Hopefully more news comes out.
  25. Apparently the trains will remain the same. I hope they know it's going to take more than paint to fix this ride. And the music better be on the lift/brakes only. Enough of the onboard audio nonsense.
