  1. There are a bunch of construction markers that were just spotted around Corkscrew and the field next to it. I believe there were also some inside Corkscrew, so this may be the end of that ride. Apparently some of the markers say things like "track for station" and "end of station" on them. Sounds like they could be getting something awesome!
  2. They do have room for a decent steel coaster, nothing giant though. It would definitely be on the smaller side if that's what they are getting. I believe the park mentioned they wanted a steel coaster since they removed mad mouse.
  3. I would go on the Saturday, usually they will run two trains on BD when they are more crowded, which will make the line move very fast. Saturday would allow you to get late night rides on BD, and would allow you to watch the laser show at 9pm then ride BD after.
  4. Cyclone was running insanely amazing today, got an awesome ride at night as well. Definitely my favorite steel coaster. Also the ride is running steel/nylon wheels until the paint wears away, then it will run urethane/nylon.
  5. I also forgot to mention that they are going to be slowly swapping the steel wheels with nylon and urethane wheels so eventually it will be faster/quieter.
  6. This coaster absolutely blew me away today, the insane pacing and relentless elements are amazing. The rolls have awesome hangtime/airtime, the turns are fun, and every hill is ejector air. The trains are also very comfy and the restraints are great. Absolutely incredible ride and the POV video does not do it justice (or any ride justice). This is now my new favorite steel coaster.
  7. Can't wait for media day tomorrow! Just under 17 hours to go!!
  8. John Winkler said that the next evolutionary phase of Bizarro is in process, so I would expect to see SROS return next year or 2017 at the latest.
  9. Looks like Goliath is open. No word yet if it will have the same issues as last year.
  10. No idea. But my guess is it has tested more than once. There is also another video of the first overbank, so I think they took a bunch of different videos from a few runs.
  11. Ok, this looks like the best ride on earth. Looks insane.
  12. My guess is sp holder preview on May 22 and opening day on May 23.
  13. First riders will be required to consume a Friendly's banana split before the ride ends. Should any toppings or ice cream be lost during the course, the riders will be escorted to the parking lot and be dealt with by security. That was pretty good lol.
  14. Friendlys is sponsoring the ride, not the video.
  15. Definitely worth checking out, I would do Quassy then LC in one day. I have only been to Quassy twice, the second visit was for my school's graduation and I got 23 rides on Wooden Warrior with dubstep, heat lightning, and rain. It was insane
  16. I believe the park said they are planning on cutting it in half. I think 6 inversions one way and another 6 the other way would be the best cycle. Seems like the way it is now would make anyone sick lol.
  17. Here is a video of Quassy's new ride! I think the cycle needs to be shortened a little! 25+ inversions is a little too much!
  18. Weights were loaded into the seats today, testing is scheduled to start tomorrow!
  19. One of the many parts of the theming went in today, can't wait to see more!!
  20. Awesome night shot! Would look so good with the lift painted!
  21. And the award for the best RMC/Coaster of 2015 goes to...
  22. Here are a few pics from a recent off-season tour! Dino Expedition is a lot cooler than I thought! Here are a few notes. -Park bought a 100ft tall led tree for holiday lights, I believe it will be set up in the middle of the entrance. -Outdoor acrobat show is now in the starlight theater, clown haunt will no longer be in there, possibly outdoors. -Other outdoor haunt was canned due to short time between October and December. (Too long to take down) -A little bit of track work was done on BD, the brake run and turnaround area got work. -Wildcat looked the same as before. (no work) -La Fiesta may be re-done next season. -Park buys 4 pallets of new life jackets each year because they "disappear". -Lots of new LED lighting coming in. Downtimes lights were $24,000. -Campground is looking great. Lots of additions like wifi, electricity, and fans for the teepees, new cub huts, and an awesome new wooden bear on top of the camp store building.
  23. Track is now complete on Wicked Cyclone and the painting has begun! The second train is also near the ride. Can't wait to see this thing testing!!
  24. Much like Colossus there are many layout changes from the original pov video. The triple turn sequence on the 3rd turnaround is now an outwards airtime hill, and the hills before the first roll and after the second roll are different, they look more insane!
