  1. For all you guys on the east coast, here is something to warm you up! Notice Skyway removal in progress. Well see what they are planning with the ride soon! Probably wont be getting much done this week... hopefully next week is better!
  2. 2/3? Correct me if I am wrong but In videos that I have seen it only looks like the first and second hills were topper tracked. Maybe a few other smaller sections. But RMC put topper track on both Rattler and Cyclone before they were Iron Horse'd so I would think it is a pretty good possibility. If there are any weird markers or anything going on there next year, it is a giveaway. The layout doesn't look that impressive for an RMC, but it could be like Cyclone at SFNE. I thought the design wouldn't be that cool but it is totally different and looks awesome. And with 3 RMCs coming in 2016 (one announced), my guess is either 2 new Iron Horse coasters or 1 and 1 free spin.
  3. I believe the theater is right next to that car ride, so those are probably getting the boot if it is true. I enjoyed Griffin at Busch Gardens so any coaster addition is a good one.
  4. How would the last car even make it through the circuit? It would not be that high up on the spike so I don't think it would have enough momentum to get through.
  5. I will be so glad if this happens. When I am at Toro it is almost not even worth it to get to Ka lol. I think the pathway would be more popular than the ride lol.
  6. Wooden coasters need to be maintained over time, I am sure it was a decent ride for a few years after it opened. I don't think the park did much track work and the Florida heat only adds to the problem. Its not GCI's fault that the park didn't maintain the ride. A lot of the lines in the closing announcement stand out to me too, sounds a lot like what SFNE did for Cyclone. It would also be a massive waste of wood to rip it all down. It has a decent layout too they could do something cool with the layout and add a few high fives, zero gs, and more. Remember Alan Schilke said he has a lot more ideas and this could be one, a dueling coaster.
  7. The park has been keeping the theming a secret for a while and they said it will not disappoint. It will be announced sometime in February. They said they already confirmed some parts of the theming and are working on others, so it should've pretty awesome. Or maybe they will just add a flame cannon and remove it after a year! Hoping to hear more news on the return of Superman soon, probably coming in 2016.
  8. It will not be an up charge, it's included w/ admission. I think this addition is cool, but it should have been put somewhere else. Somewhere in the south end around the train station or inside of BD's turnaround would give it a much cooler woodsy feel and it would save the space by Zoomerang for a flat down the road. Two years without a ride though, hopefully the park is saving up for 2016 . I have heard from a few places it might be a good year.
  9. SFNE will have the world's smoothest coaster and the worlds roughest right next to each other! (Cyclone and Goliath)
  10. They said there are projects in the next 2 years outside of Six Flags that use I-box track. Gwazi...Mean Streak...
  11. Those colors look really ugly next to Apollo especially the supports. The ride will probably be awesome though. I can't believe they didn't announce it yet though, that's crazy.
  12. Behold... Looks awesome! Also notice how low the track coming out of the stall is.
  13. That drop looks absolutely gorgeous. Really loving those colors.
  14. The floor only adds like 4 seconds. Definitely does not have a major impact.I only got to the park once this year but Nitro and Bizarro had the worst ride ops. El Toro had fantastic ops. But Bizarro was double train stacking and then some at times. Nitro was mainly single stacked.
  15. The last picture looks a little iffy to me. The supports look a little messed up. But I didn't see that second picture before and it looks gorgeous.
  16. I think you forgot the airtime hills. But it really does look a little sloppy. The side view of the first drop makes it look awful. I am sure it will still be epic.
  17. Sounds like some of the old track will remain... That is sure to look great...
  18. Breaking news from Lake Compounce Family Theme Park! Over 1 dozen dinosaurs measuring up to 40 feet have been discovered in the park near the Zoomerang attraction along with buried fossils of countless other creatures. Introducing Dino Expedition, new for 2015! So basically what Story Land got without the coaster. Two years in a row with nothing new. How will they compete with NESS, Frantic, and Wicked Cyclone...
  19. The teasing has begun! I bet its not even a ride. Might be a dinosaur themed area of some sort. If thats the case, then they would have foreshadowed it with the front entrance for the HG because they had a truck with a Jurassic Park like LC logo on it with the blue wooden fence pieces around it. Theres always the Jr. Woodie possibility too but that seems unlikely. But that wooden warrior pic on LC's page with LakeC in the file name is also interesting. They also said the addition will be special, create buzz, be exciting, and now major. From what I have heard it is not a ride, but I don't know what it would be.
  20. Did you guess that or read it somewhere? Because that is actually the name. http://www.holidayworld.com/rides/crowsnest/
  21. Loving how that plaza is looking and of course Thunderbird too. Looks epic.
  22. Same can't be said about Goliath. Breaks down once a day minimum guaranteed. On Cyclone's last day I saw the train being slowly lowered by the 2nd tower catch car twice and people were stranded for a few minutes. But yeah expect it to break down all the time.
  23. Their intention was to make the ride smoother and increase capacity by eliminating the winged seating. Obviously both of these things did not happen.
  24. The front is probably the best going forward but it is absolute torture going backwards. The transition between the 2nd spike and loop is the roughest part of any coaster I have been on. Same goes for the back row and the first spike. I mean there is definitely something wrong with this ride. It is 5 times louder than a B&M now, employees have to wear ear protection, and it is insanely rough.
  25. Yeah the speakers are really screwing up the ride. It would be much better without them. I believe 2015 is the last year for Bizarro though, then SROS in 2016. I haven't really kept track of what trains have working audio but both of them have a good number of rows that have dead speakers. The train that ran closing day all the seats behind the box were dead, and a few rows before the box were dead. The other train is in the same boat. The park clearly can't keep up with the money needed for the system so it needs to go, which appears to be what they are doing. I kinda like the music on the ride but I feel it would be much better having a better view and natural coaster sounds. As for Goliath, it sucks. Really sucks. When I went on it the the first and last time with the new train towards the beginning of the year, the ride ops were pretty good and I could tell the trains were dispatching quicker. I believe the new train got rid of the seatbelts too (not positive) so that saves time because before they had to check everyone's seatbelts then check the restraints. If they can fix the new train, then do it. If they don't and leave it the way it is, I won't be riding it.
