To easy to answer. Park is off the hookkkkkkkkkkkkkkk packedddddddddddddddddd If you got there at 8:10 your still looking for parking. Just remember every car is inside SFMM as Hurricane has been closed since 6pm. What to do first? .... Try to enjoy the scare zones and wait for a colder night to return and do the mazes at that time. Not even true. I got there at 7 and way too easy. No wait at toll booths, and right into a spot in front of Scream. Could've parked closer but didn't notice the lot was so empty until I got out and was walking. Fright Fest is pretty good this year. The mazes are the same level of quality as last year and the scare zones have vastly improved. The park was pretty busy until 11:30 or so, but crowds thinned very quickly after that. Here's what I checked out: 1) Demon's Door- cool, same as last year, FIRE! 2) Toyz of Terror 3D - good with 3D glasses, kinda lame without. 3) Red's Revenge - More air effects and more wolflike characters throughout the maze, better than last year. 4) Voodoo Nights - great, high quality performance 5) Zombie Xing - more actors this year, great because it is dark 6) Sinister Circuit - Wow, using the Holiday in the Park lights in DC Universe really works! More fun than scary, but that's okay! 7) Terrortory Twisted - The best one! Projection Mapping on buildings, tons of fog, tons of actors, and TONS of props for the actors to hide in! Plus the area is HUGE so that's another plus. 8) Unleashed - didn't get to watch this but heard that it was great! Very similar to Kwerk but with new acts! Four shows per night. 9) The Wastelands - lots of fog and great actors! 10) The Aftermath - Greatly improved from last year - probably double the number of actors! Went in this after midnight to find no line whatsoever, in fact my two friends and I were the only ones in the maze! We got cornered by like 8 actors and couldn't even move! It was awesome! 11) Willoghby's Garden of Darkness - well, I'd still say it's the worst maze in the park but it's much better than last year. It's darker and it has more actors who aren't just hiding in plant suits. The Willoughby's daughter is a much more prominent character this year. 12) Exile Hill- Great as usual! 13) Nightmares - Plussed up scare zone- way more cool props and actors this year! Black lights are cool!! 14) X2: Satan's Domain: only thing that has changed here is the audio. No props or theming at all. The new audio is basically a creepy remix of the old audio. This really hurt my calves at the end tonight. That's all I got to check out tonight. Vault 666 had a 2-hour line all night so I'll hit that up next week. Same with Willoughby's and Chupacabra. Overall great event this year!! Although there isn't much new stuff added this year, they have added a lot more actors to the mazes and especially the scare zones. So that's a plus! You should totally check it out if you can! That's all I got to check out

Just announced this past week: Apocalypse is having a retheme during Fright Fest this year. It will be called Shadows Of Evil: The Ride, based on Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Apparently the queue will be similar to a maze, with scare actors hiding waiting to scare people as they walk through. There has been a TON of theming added to the queue over the week and it looks really good. Looks like it could be a new maze in itself before the ride.

I think TC should've used a dual loading station with 4 operating trains. Two go to each station. That way two can be loaded at once, almost doubling the amount of time to load the trains. It would duel almost every time. And no, they can't dispatch before the next train hits the MCBR. I have seen them finish checking the train with 15 seconds to spare and the op at the panel said "holding on track" until it hit the midcourse (just hit it, not clear it).

Here is the flaw in the green lift programming: So they cannot dispatch the next train from the station until the train in front hits the mid course brake where the track changes from blue to green. When the train starts climbing the green lift, it isn't set at the slowest speed it can go by default. If the next train hasn't dispatched from the station yet, it goes up the lift at a "medium" speed. This continues until: A) the train is dispatched, or B) the train on the green lift is about halfway up and the computer decides it's too late to race If A occurs, the lift will slow down to "medium-slow" for 15 seconds or so before returning to "medium" speed, which isn't enough time for the dispatched train to get through the pre-lift. Once the blue train gets to the sensor on the bottom of the lift, the green lift will change to "slow" speed until the two trains line up. Then it will adjust to the speed of the blue train, which is "fast". If B occurs, the green train will speed up to "medium-fast" and continue on its way, unless A occurs; then it will slow down but not race. If the green lift stayed at the slowest speed possible from the second the train hits the lift until the blue train catches up (or it is calculated to be impossible to race even at the slowest chain speed), it would be way easier to race. Much much easier. Because the slowest speed it goes is very VERY slow. Get rid of the unnecessary speed ups at the beginning and once a train is dispatched.

If you have 2015 dining and are buying 2016 dining it's actually a good deal right now. You can get double food! So you scan into the park with one of your passes and then you just exit and scan in with the other pass so that the dining deals can be used on both cards. So you can order your friend's food and give it to them for free! I did this multiple times last year and it worked every time.

I was there too. Goliath was by far the longest wait in the park for whatever reason. Tatsu' switchbacks were only half full in the middle of the afternoon and X2 was never longer than a station wait all day. In fact, I went right when the park opened and got 2 rides in a row on X2 without having to get out of my seat! I could've gone a third time with I one train wait but I decided to move on. I came back and got 2 more rides in in the afternoon. I dueled on TC once, and the line was never that bad. I waited from outside the entrance and it was 30 minutes even. After I rode, the line was inside the entrance.

If it's a ride I have never been on before I will wait until they kick me out. If I have been on the ride I analyze these factors: 1) what type of a breakdown it is. Especially at SFMM, I know all the typical breakdowns and how long they take to fix. If it's short I will always wait, and if it's gonna be a longer delay, I then consider factor #2. 2) the rate at which people are getting out of line in front of me. If the line is moving at a rate that is the same speed or faster (or sometimes even slightly slower) from people getting out of line in front of me than it would move if the ride wasn't broken, then I will stay since I will probably get on just as fast if I wait, no matter the length of the delay as long as it isn't multiple hours. Basically, will I have to wait longer if I come back later. Sometimes I will even ask if I can join the line for broken rides, and I am usually allowed to do so.

I love Apocalypse's layout! I love the first half Of the ride especially. I don't think it's rough at all and I can marathon it as well. But then again I didn't think Ghostrider was rough either. Mean Streak was rough but not as bad as everyone says it is. The ones I hated the most were Wild One at SFA and Blue Streak. Blue Streak made me feel terrible and I felt like I had just been jack hammered to death.

^They always say it's huge. Also since there has been assigned seating And no SRL, the ride has been running super efficiently. For the most part the ride has been fueling 70-80% of the time, about double what it was before. Everyone seems to have a better time. Today, the line ended at Scream's exit, and it only took 45 minutes to get into the seat of the train! That used to take at least an hour from there.
