Writing three short lines If it's not haiku, well, then It is its essence. -

Getting colder. I'll give you a hint. You had the right number of lines for a haiku, you just needed to change the number of syllables. Hope that helps. -

Yeah, that's a park tickets plus drink cup deal. If you have a Platinum Pass, you get a bit of a discount on the hotel room, so that's a better deal if you're going to multiple Cedar Fair parks like you're planning to do. And yes, Breakers Express does give free parking at the park. It's offsite, so you don't get that ability to walk back to your room in the middle of the day. If you're planning on staying all day at the park, it can be a good way to save some money. I'd still recommend Breakers onsite if it's possible for you, as it's a far better experience. -

At the risk of sounding hella American, the fewer royals the better! -

This Free Spin looks great, and it's gotta be better than Dragon no matter how it turns out. This park is only one state over from me, but about 6 hours drive is a bit too much to day trip, so it requires some planning. I like what they've been doing lately, may have to try to get up there. -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

Man, you need to go in August when it's raining. This park is super awesome then. -
Go at opening, generally always good advice, but in this area, on a Sunday, it's especially true. Powder Keg has the slowest line. Generally the order I recommend going in is Powder Keg, Mystic River Falls, Outlaw Run, Giant Barn Swing, American Plunge, Wildfire, Time Traveler, Thunderation, Firefall, Fire in the Hole. That'll get you on all the major rides. Anything else generally doesn't have a huge line.

I'm not saying it's not a maintenance issue, but water does wreak havoc on braking torque. It's essentially a lubricant. -

Is this the new putting tons of dots between your words? -
I would love to see a pavilion expansion/better early entry area. It always feels sketchy the way they lead you through back alley paths into the Spain area. Having a better early entrance that's clearly marked as such would make for a better experience, plus it would help market memberships to guests with season passes, or (god forbid) day tickets.

^ Eh, that only really matters very close to the station. Farther out, your wait is much more dependent on the number of people in front of you. There's really no need to ever crowd when you're an hour away. -
What song are you listening to?
ytterbiumanalyst replied to Mr.Six's topic in Random, Random, Random
This song is 100% written for me. A little emo, a little punk, a little political, and all over a bouncy rhythm with big band samples. It's like, AJR, have you been spying on me? -
Or if you want something local, not a chain, Spinelli's downtown is great pizza, and I like Highland Morning on Bardstown Rd for breakfast. Their grits menu is insane. Bourbon is of course the thing here, and several bars have whiskey flights. For atmosphere, the best bar downtown is Troll Pub Under the Bridge. It's actually next to the bridge, not strictly under it, but we'll let that go. All this is pre-pandemic info, so I hope these places have all survived. They're wonderful and deserve to stay around.

In past years, yes, there's a lower price for passholders, but it's the same no matter what sort of pass you have. And yes, seconded on Cedar Downs Racing Derby. You have no idea until you've been on it how great that ride is. -

In Missouri, we have one at the KOA campground in Eureka, across the freeway from Six Flags St. Louis. There also used to be one at Route 66 Carousel Park in Joplin, but that park closed a few years ago. This place looks really fun. Fresh berries and beer? Yes please! Edit: Yeah, here it is. I've got a photo of the one at Route 66 Carousel Park on my 2014 trip report here: -
Clementon Park Discussion Thread
ytterbiumanalyst replied to larrygator's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, a whole second park for Indiana Beach. Clementon looks very similar, so at least the company isn't trying to do two drastically different things. Good luck to them!
