  1. This is not true. Don't spread disinformation. While different states do have different levels of intensity in their restrictions, all Six Flags parks at this time have a base level where masks are required for those who are not vaccinated and whenever guests are indoors or in a crowded area. Please consult your local Six Flags before you go and continue to bring a mask so you can follow the guidelines for the park you are visiting.
  2. Hard to say, since this year is so crazy. In years past I'd say wait and see, but if you don't see yourself getting back here for a while, and there's a possibility that FL may sell out, then grab it. The FL queues here are very much worth it, you basically won't wait at all. Oh, and standard advice holds here, ride the Beast at night, and don't go in the shed.
  3. Just about every place is awesome. Aunt Granny's has everything you could ever want. Absolutely do not miss the cinnamon bread near Barnstormer. Their barbecue is fantastic too, I think it's over near Aunt Granny's. We were there for 3 days and the only place I wouldn't recommend is the 50s cafe near Lightning Rod. It wasn't bad, just not up to the standards of everywhere else.
  4. I haven't been since before Covid, but back then they would allow you to bring in water and, if there is a medical need, small snacks like granola bars (not meals or like a whole backpack of bars, obviously, but a couple were no problem).
  5. That's really good news. Every fountain should have those. It's dumb to wait in a food line for a water refill.
  6. I kind of understand the frustration. That "last ride of the night" on your favourite coaster is a really great way to end a day at Cedar Point. Not having that cheapens the experience. That said, people gotta understand that every place is understaffed right now, and that will continue to be true for a while as we struggle to restore all the infrastructure like childcare so that people can return to work, as well as vaccinating the remaining population. At Cedar Point specifically a lot of their workers are European, so of course the travel sector will need to be restored before the park is able to run fully staffed again. Would be nice if people thought about this stuff before they yelled at some kid about how their day at a theme park was only 99% awesome.
  7. Yeah the log flume is still there, and it's awesome! It's got a Peanuts overlay now but still the same ride.
  8. I love all those parks, but you made a good decision. If I could pick only one of those parks, I'd pick Cedar Point 9 times out of 10. 10th time would be on The Ohio State Day or some hellish nightmare like that, and then Knoebels.
  9. I know about the Gerstlauer announcement. I want to know what you're smoking so I know which strains to avoid.
  10. Tiny? I don't remember it being an unusual size. How big is the Accelerator track?
  11. Probably just a function of how far I am from either of these parks but I'd never consider going to central PA without going to both. Skyrush and Phoenix are both too awesome to pass up.
  12. I'm with you on that completely. I have two under 12 (but very excited my 13 year old will be getting the shot tomorrow!). We're not going to theme parks until all five of us are fully vaccinated. I just don't trust people to do the right thing. That's our choice, but at this moment if you're all wearing masks you're probably ok, and if you're all vaccinated (those with no children especially), you're golden now, have at it. Bottom line is, regarding Hersheypark's decision, it's based on CDC guidance. I would hope that anyone who loves theme parks would respect the wishes of their hosts, regardless of whether they are able, in theory or in practice, to enforce their wishes.
  13. That is the main trouble, yes, but let's be real here. Vaccines have been available to all Americans 16+ for about a month now, so there aren't a whole lot of people who are eligible and really want a vaccine and just haven't gotten one yet. The people who haven't gotten one either a) are too young, b) have a legitimate medical condition that they didn't make up and an actual, real doctor told them they probably shouldn't get the vaccine, or c) are gullible and don't give a sh*t about anyone but themselves. Speaking of which, Oh come on, man. You've said some extremely callous stuff on this very site for 15 months now. Don't lie to us and pretend like you're just waiting for the right government agency to say the right thing. We all know you don't give a sh*t. How do we know? You told us yourself!
  14. Awesome news! This is what we've been working toward for a year and a half! Get your vaccine and get back to normal!
  15. Huh...I wasn't aware SFOG had a Dinn. I thought the Dinning plan was still Worlds of Fun, Michigan's Adventure, Darien Lake, and Kentucky Kingdom.... Ya learn something new every day.
  16. The best Splash Mountain is Knott's Timber Mountain Log Ride.
  17. Enjoy a cold one Pour one out for your homies Bam! You just bought two.
  18. Good point, and it's not like Holiday World is getting you in other ways either. Both have gate ticket prices of $59.99, and both have online sales. Although Six Flags may want to check their math....
  19. Yeah, I really liked Firehawk, sad to see that one go. Vortex I didn't mind terribly, but it wasn't great and I don't miss it. Flying Ace Aerial Chase is a bad coaster. I've ridden similar models at other parks that are smooth and enjoyable, and KI's just isn't. Scrap it and replace it with another children's coaster; the fact that they have 4 is hilarious and awesome and they should keep it up.
  20. That area does bottleneck pretty bad, and better pathways there would alleviate the other bottleneck near Echo Hollow (not nearly so bad post-Time Traveler, but still). Honestly even if that's all it is, that is a great thing for them to be doing. The scope of that wall, though....
