  1. They do, but that won't be enough to save them from Six Flags' one new water slide in the last 5 years. They better get on it.
  2. Celebrating my new promotion with a Ca$h Mony Imperial IPA from 4 Hands Brewery in St. Louis.
  3. It was really painful, like T3 and Ninja painful.
  4. Was Stinger really that bad?? -- I only ask because it's pretty much a clone of Invertigo at KI, and Invertigo really isn't that bad. Is it great? No. But it's very re-rideable, and much better than a traditional sit down boomerang. I completely agree with your opinion of Invertigo. Stinger is not even close to it in terms of quality. Stinger was one of the few coasters I couldn't wait to get off as soon as it started going. It was horrible and will not be missed.
  5. Thanks, Belgiumcoasterfreak, for the POV. Looks like a fun ride, has some mouse-like elements and a lot of twistiness.
  6. Today I was offered, and accepted, a promotion! Downside is that I will have 8 weeks of mandatory training this summer that totally screws with my vacation plans...good news is it's a much better job and a significant pay raise. So not so many coasters this year, but more money for coasters later!
  7. Batman, regardless of whether you're talking about the coaster or the comic book superhero. "Play" by Moby or "Just Push Play" by Aerosmith?
  8. Eh, I'll get it when the price comes down. God of War games are all good, but none are worth $60. I'll pay $20 or so in 3 months.
  9. I agree, I'm really excited about this slide. It's Bakuli crossed with Hyena Falls....and that's exactly what they're competing with. Step it up, Holiday World; can't wait to see what comes out of this competition.
  10. Listening to the Manics' new album, pretty good. Think I like "Distant Colours" the best. The official video isn't on Youtube, but here's one for embedding: [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] The official video is on VEVO: https://www.vevo.com/watch/manic-street-preachers/distant-colours-(official-video)/GB1101702037 My Celtic side is loving the intro in Gaidhlig.
  11. If you've already got a season pass I say go for it. I would totally drive there every day all week and have 5 hours in the park total.
  12. Hail State! Nice to see props for the school here. You have misquoted me. I didn't say that.
  13. If a tornado appears above your head, then you ignored several hours' worth of warnings not to stand there. No, it's not as much warning as a hurricane, where we know days in advance, but several hours ahead of time we know the general area a tornado will be, and 30-60 minutes ahead we know its exact path. Plenty of time to not be in that path.
  14. Right, I was referring to TPR's video of the Beast being used in the video. Re-read Robb's post. Gotcha, sorry, thought you were talking to me. Oops.
  15. The credit's not due me, I just found it on Youtube is all. Had nothing to do with the production of it.
  16. Depends on what you're into. Kings Island is a good choice since you can get a Platinum Pass and if you get the dining plan or something, it applies to both parks. The easiest to get to are Six Flags Great America and Indiana Beach. If you do go to Chicago, drive there that night and stay in Waukegan or Gurnee, don't fight Chicago traffic in the morning. It's 4 hours if you go that night, but could be 6 if you wait. Kings Island, Kentucky Kingdom, Holiday World, and Six Flags St. Louis are all within 6-7 hours of Muskegon, easily done if you drive half that night and the other half the next morning. What direction are you coming from? That'll determine how far west/south you want to go.
  17. Nope, completely sober tonight. Just saw that on my YouTube recommendations, and had two thoughts: 1) Google knows me COMPLETELY in a kinda scary way, and 2) That's going on TPR.
  18. [youtu_be]https://youtu.be/mvPIvoJkmGs[/youtu_be]
  19. I saw one once. It went about a mile south of the house where I grew up and we all went out on the deck to watch it. Was really surreal. The funny thing about tornados is that if you're directly in their path, they're devastating; if not, there's basically no danger. How we deal with it out here is every time there's a tornado warning, just pay attention to radar (or crank radio if the power goes out) and know where each tornado is. Wait for them all to pass and you're good. As far as natural disasters go, I'd rather deal with that than a blizzard or hurricane. Probably one of those devil you know things.
  20. Fly Corn or soybeans?
