  1. Mean Streak, a MUST every time I visit Cedar Point. Although I do not care for Ferris Wheels.
  2. Rides are decent, some better than others. Most aren't anything special, but there are some (exceptionally rare) very good ones. The real issue with me are the restraints.
  3. It's things like this that make me question how these people continue to run their businesses. Oblivious to the guest's desires.
  4. Flat track doesn't look too bad to me. Albeit a bit awkward. The Intamin Superman clones are irritating though, I cannot imagine what a nightmare it was to construct that. It's like all they wanted was height, and create the most cost effective (boring) layout, maximizing on the length. Not flat tracked inversions, but still similar. Those two coasters are just... no.
  5. Hopefully this just means RMC is just using Vekoma as the middle man. RMC will have to firmly hold Vekoma's hand the help them create their fine masterpieces. Please let it be a take it or leave it agreement. Where RMC standards rule out any Vekoma-ness involved in production.
  6. I think this is it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhGFEI0juf4 Credit goes to: unclemuttley www.youtube.com/user/unclemuttley?feature=watch
  7. Reminds me of Lightning, disgusting.
  8. My opinion is my opinion. It's okay not to like something, just don't be a jerk about it.
  9. Wicked Twister. Turn the last 4 rows backwards. Could be interesting.
  10. I'm using Newton 2. Could someone please help with me with drops. Specifically the pull out at the bottom, YouTube seems to cover everything else but that.
  11. The s-curve before Mantis's MCBR needs to be replaced with something more flat and with a less snappy transition. A smoother S-curve. Maybe invest in B&M to design some newer trains.
  12. GateKeeper's airless hill need's to be replaced by a giant Vertical Loop.
  13. Great American Scream Machine @ Six Flags Great America This one came out of nowhere, really caught me off guard. I knew arrows were on the decline but I expected at least another 10 years. Pandemonium @ Six Flags Discovery Kingdom It was a relatively new coaster, and it was relocated quick.
  14. The Original Steel Phantom at Kennywood. The first drop would be made slightly smaller, being about 10 or so meters above ground, and then going directly into a vertical loop. The rest of the layout would of been the same. Here is a visual example.
  15. It worries me how much the actual product will differ from the sketch. Something tells me that CF will give it an extra dose of generic-ness.
  16. Make sure the paths leading to the ride have a direct route to the main walkway of peeps. Sometimes you just have to wait. OR sometimes there is a ride near it that has a massive que, sucking up all the guests. Usually if you close that ride, the peeps will disperse and maybe notice your ride. Hope this helps.
  17. RMC could do wonders with this. Topper track is the way to go, at least that's my opinion. Goliath & Outlaw Run prove that wooden coasters can be like steel ones. It needs a new and imaginative layout like NTG, but with topper track. Give it a slightly taller hill and you've got the tallest, fastest, longest drop, and steepest woodie. Even if this never happens. This ride NEEDS new life, when you demolish the Que you know the ride sucks. So why keep paying to keep it there? Something needs to be done, make it better or burn it!
  18. I'd love to have a SkyCoaster in my backyard. That would be great to have at parties!
  19. That's what I thought, too. I thought the same with SWARM.
  20. Thunderbolt @ Kennywood Jupiter @ Kijima Kogen
  21. I'm interested in seeing the overall layout. Banked curves and corkscrews seems to be the only thing feasible with this limited circular footprint. The height factor could really add to the thrill. My only complaint is those circular lifts, if you're going to go that far with something like this, at least engineer a more efficient lift system.
  22. Gröna Lund Never been, but seems to have so much charm to it.
  23. These things seem to only hit around 810 rph. I don't see why we haven't seen more of these stateside. GCI coasters usually hit around 800rph also.
  24. Camden Park. (One can dream ) Maybe Kentucky Kingdom or Bluegrass Boardwalk, whatever it's called now. Hopefully some rides from Freestyle Music Park will be bought and transported. Hopefully some park asks Intamin to make a slightly larger/modified version. To accommodate possibly 5-6 cars per train, to increase capacity, making it more appealing to larger parks.
