I posted this in Ask Alvey, but the Alvey's are very busy as they leave for Scandanavia Tour shortly, I am posting it here in hope that his minions will be able to answer my questions. Alright, I'm heading out to Japan in a week and am open to some suggestions. I will have 2 full days in the Nagoya Area and see that there are a couple of possible parks to visit. Tell me what you think. Strong possibility: Nagashima Spaland & Parque Espana Other possibilities: Hirakata, Himeji Central Park, Lagunasia, Hamanako Pal Pal, am I missing any? Also, what parks are full day, and which are half. So, if you were to go for two full days, what parks, and what days at which parks. Hope I didn't just confuse everyone too much.

I definitely will have to remember to smile if some stranger takes my picture. That was too funny. Great pics! -

Thanks for the pictures! I've never been to SFOG and can't wait to go in July. I hope it's that empty when we go! -
This is why we keep putting off the TPR Australia Trip...

Wow! This was not a good post to run into. I don't mind small bugs and spiders, but these cannot even be considered "bugs." They definitely fall under the animal/monster category. I'm definitely going to have to check my bed tonight. -
This is definitely not a post to be looking at while on a diet! Everything looks so good, even the chicken "just dropped a load on a bun" salad sandwich! Great Pictures.

That is a great looking park with a lot of greenery. Hope you rode the bumper boats and got your "Bootie" credit for the day. Still haven't been able to ride a Gerstlauer yet, hopefully soon. Thanks for the pictures! -
The Official TPR "East Coast/Behemoth Trip" Update
jray21 replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great Report! I really wanted to go on this trip, but the timing didn't work out. As always, Robb is doing a wonderful job with the reports and videos. His videos make all mine look like a kids crayon drawing. Can't wait to see more. I'll just have to remember not to sleep on any of the busses during my upcoming TPR trip! -

Theme Park Review's 2008 Asia Tour!
jray21 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Great Report! The non-character-characters are really creepy. I've never gone during halloween so I've never seen them. Too bad. These trip reports have gotten me so excited for my trip in June, I just wish TPR was there to set everything up! Thanks for all the info. -
I thought for sure this was just some really stupid joke! I mean come on. The marketing guy needs to be fired. Hmm, let's take one of the worlds most well known brands in the music industry that is recognizable to everyone, and get rid of it and go with the Freestyle Music name. They should have just payed the extra money to keep Hard Rock, or completely changed the concept/name to something normal sounding. With a name like freestyle I think of 10-16 year old skateboarders, a few BMX riders, and one creepy 40 year old rollerblader hanging around some concrete slabs. Add the "music" to that and now I just imagine some E-kids with glow sticks in some basement doing some break dancing. Oh wait, this is an amusement park? Umm, well.......... How about the name, "We lost our contract so some hourly kid (The CEO's 10 y/o) came up with the Freestyle Park name because we were too cheap to do any sort of market research at all - Park."

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride
jray21 replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Wow, construction is moving fast, but there's not too much time left! I am really going to try and go back down again once it's running. I hope everything rides as good as it looks, but the bridge is still looking pretty sad. Maybe they're going for the industrial wasteland look. -
Just sent my check for Texas today for the wife (Amy) and me! When we got married we lived in Texas so I'm excited to go back where it all began. Too bad that the deep south portion wasn't after Texas because we are going to Disneyland during that part! Tough break this year. I was ready to go on a few TPR trips but Scandinavia is during Japan, and deep south is during Disneyland, West Coast is during a family reunion, and China is during the Disneyland 1/2 marathon Aunt/Uncle tour of California trip! Oh well, there's always next year! Next time they will just have to clear the dates with me first!

Wow, great report! I am jealous of Club 33. I wouldn't care if they served McDonald's, just the exclusivity of it is cool. I like pirates, but after being stuck on it for over an hour after an earthquake it lost a little bit for me as well. It seems like I missed a great day at Disneyland, even if it was busy. The inlaws were in town the previous week so we couldn't take any more vacation days after the WCB.

If only the dates were different I would be there. Unfortunately, well not really, I will be doing my own Tokyo tour! Maybe next year. -

As good as the rides looks, I'll have to say that the Egypt El Toro takes them all! -
Another thing to consider is time of year. The best calendar to judge which times to go would be the tokyo disney website, just scroll down to see the calendars. http://www.disneyhotels.jp/english/reserve/dhm_price_e.html I almost always go in early June because school finals are at the end of the month and the japanese are very serious about school. The parks are usually empty and a lot better. At Yomiuriland we counted 13 people for the 4 hours we were there.
