Kentucky Kingdom (SFKK, KK) Discussion Thread
Homer replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, this is a first, usually park reps and higher ups usually lurk and read what enthusiasts whine about. Kudos to you for going the extra mile and wanting to interact with all of us! Anyways, I have never been to your park, however I will be there in August when everybody on the Midwest Trip stops over for a half day of fun (and thank you in advance for the generous Extended Ride Time, especially for Deluge). I look forward to your park especially for some of its great rides and Deluge since that seems like an interesting slide. Glad to hear your optimism of the park's future. Hopefully Kentucky Kingdom continues to cater to all audiences and not just the thrill seeking teenagers. Can't wait to see what happens, if you're optimistic about it, then I am glad to see SFKK will continue to improve under Shapiro's ownership. -
So, I just had some dinner at Taco Bell and they were handing out offers for a summer pass to Cypress Gardens. Of course, the buzz with this park lately has been Starliner, which the park is hopeful (and confirmed, I guess) to open Starliner on June 30th. Of course, if you're wondering how Cypress is marketing an obscure classic wooden coaster and guess what coaster is being used? Wow, a new coaster. Holy sh*t an Intamin? Cypress Gardens getting El Toro would be just what the park needs in the first place! Hey look, buy a summer pass to Vekomaland South!

Applebees Serves 2 Year Old A Margarita In a Sippy Cup!!!
Homer replied to GMAN962's topic in Random, Random, Random
2 year olds have drunk more alcohol than me. Man, babies are beating me in both park count and alcohol consumption. -
I think nearly all of my purchases lately have been on my debit card. Like Will, the only time I ever wrote checks were deposits for TPR trips. I don't have to worry about bills and credit, yet. I'm a bit scared of my financial situation now...

Accelerator coaster for Bakken

Are you sure this is Alton Towers? -
Well, this is probably my first contribution to RCT in AGES. Since RCT3 finally runs smoothly on my new computer, I can finally enjoy RCT3 for once. Anywho, I decided to build a semi-realistic B&M Floorless coaster called Firestorm. I went wacky with the inversions, notably the second element, where it is a Sea Serpent roll that twists on the final stretch towards the Zero-G roll. After that, the ride goes through an Immelman into the generic interlocking corkscrews before the ending. Theming and archy is still under construction. I'm not going to be doing all of these "custom support" crap though. For compatability: no expansion packs needed. However, I do have a problem, how do I make my trains longer than 5 cars? I have it on blocks, the blocks are somewhat long, is it just me? Oh well, here is the pic and the epic teaser: firestormteaser_0001.wmv EPIC TEASER!!1 [zipped version coming later] Firestorm's layout.

Mountain Dew Code Red mixed with some Pepsi is a good brew. Although I have not had it since I was 14 . Code Red is hard to come by nowadays.

Photo TR: Orlando parks and DisneyQuest
Homer replied to WillMontu's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Quoted for the truth. Will, this TR made me emo. DQ was like awesome back in 1998 and 2000. I loved Cyberspace Mtn. and I really wished this concept was successful. Who's up for at least one TPR meet here before this place becomes a memory? -
the wheels were made by Morgan and a wheel chucked from the train into Larry the Cable Guy's face and Carlos Mencia's crotch. After that,

Welcome to Sex... erm... Six Flags!
Homer posted a topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
On July 7th, Six Flags will be holding weddings on its thrill rides I can imagine the bachelor parties on the night before and the amount of "Giggidy" going on afterwards. An odd promotion, if I say so myself. Then again, Six Flags is trying to aim for the "family" audience. -
I have to close tonight, major peeve, because the next morning (at 9 AM), I have to get my wisdom teeth taken out. Non-peeves though: 1. OVERTIME! $$$$ 2. Bring on the Jell-o Puddin Pops!

Wendy’s manager shot over limit on chili sauce

Again, proving the cesspool of stupidity that is the fast food industry. I'd give almost anything to quit the fast food industry and take a step up into someplace slightly less likely to have really stupid customers (Old Navy maybe?). -
Check out my website I'm doing for a class (w/ TPR content)
Homer replied to BarryH's topic in Random, Random, Random
Wow, its like 1997 and Geocities all over again (minus the "3D" animated GIFs). -
Its called Google, or any other search engine portal for that fact.

I think Batman and Robin: The Chiller would make a good movie. Oh wait... -
PTR/UPDATE: Elitch Gardens
Homer replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Twister II being rough? Son, Twister II did not give me headaches unlike some wooden coasters *cough* Gwazi *cough*. If it doesn't give me a headache, it is smooth, end of story. -
PTR/UPDATE: Elitch Gardens
Homer replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks for the update Taylor, at least Boomerang was running. That and the kiddie coaster are the only two credits I missed out on! And yes, everybody loves Sidewinder. Twister II will always be a mediocre woodie, even with trims, though I applaud the smoothness. -

There is a park in downtown New Orleans that has some Tivoli credit. Its located in a public park so therefore it qualifies for FEMA loans. -
Vanilla Coke is back, although it is now called Coca-Cola Vanilla. I loved that soda and I'm glad its back!
