Worst Ride Name

^ Speaking of generic, how about Goliath? It almost taints the new RMC project... but not enough to remove the awesomeness. At least they didn't name it Bizzaro. I don't disagree that NASCAR is ridiculous, but what do you call tearing down countless trees for theme parks and roller coasters? Entire habitats have been wiped out for our entertainment. I like the name 'Intimidator', without the NASCAR theme. -

Hah! That is pretty funny. The quote "Too soon, Junior" comes to mind... (Fast & Furious cheese) -

It's been a while since we've had a major investment (not counting boomerang), so I'm just hoping if the Boss doesn't get the iron horse within the next few years, our next major investment will be spent wisely. -

One more kick in the balls from SfStl. Just remember, screamscape is not always right... but they are usually pretty close. -

You get a bracelet that allows you to enter the fast pass lane. Basically, you go to the front of the line. -

Definitely. That's what I'm hoping for. Or at least some kind of trench, as commonly seen on inverts. -

I saw those, but I was thinking more along the lines of foot choppers, tunnels, etc. I know it's highly unlikely, since they weren't in the preview, but it would be nice. -

The first drop looks phenomenal. Very tight, very close to the ground. Does anyone think there is a possibility of being more themeing than lead on in the previews? I hope so, but it not, it still won't make me any less excited. -

^ God, let's hope so. I'm still pretty jaded over Patriot, and especially Silver Bullet. -

Another one I forgot about that a lot of people have said: Tatsu. The ride was very boring to me. That and as I have gotten older, flyers give me nausea. Both B&M and flying dutchmen. Sucks for me. Don't be so sensitive. As a police officer, I've lived the violence, and I can still enjoy Halloween entertainment.

It seems like water parks really soak up a lot of money from the GP, especially in this area of the country. Look at Holiday World. More people go to that park for the water park and hit the coasters if they have time. It was kind of a buzz kill for me when the 'new expensive attraction' for Holiday World was a new water attraction, for several years coming. However, that's what brought people back in droves. I personally think we're going to see more of the same from Kentucky Kingdom. Either way, I'm not complaining. Whatever it takes to get the park on its feet.

I agree. The Darkness is not scary, heck it isn't even all that dark! It is a long walk-thru and has got a lot of cool animatronics, but scary it is not! I don't get scared in haunted houses. I can't when I know it's all a set. I just like to look at the stuff... I guess that's why I like the Darkness. Then again, I haven't really been to many others. -

Just for clarification, are you talking Fright Fest haunted house, or a haunted house around St. Louis? Fright Fest does the best it can, but the haunted houses are pretty amateur compared to some of the attractions in the Metro Area. I suggest you try out The Darkness in Soulard, which is consistently ranked as one of the best haunted houses in the nation. Don't go on a Saturday night, unless you want to wait about 2 hours in line. If you're old enough, a few beers will make the experience more fun. Does anyone know if city museum does anything for halloween? I could imagine a pretty amazing haunted house setup in that place, with the slides and crawl spaces. -

Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast. I really enjoyed the original Mr. Freeze so much, but it was ruined it for me when the launch was reversed. I like feeling the force of a launch without having to brace my neck. I agree. I didn't really like anything about this coaster, aside from maybe the first drop. The awkward MCBR slows the train down to painstakingly low speeds. The thing is even ugly to look at. I look at most coasters as a piece of art, but Golioth just looks like an ugly steel frame.

Yeah... stand-ups just aren't good, period. (imo) The only one I ever somewhat enjoyed was Georgia Scorcher. Floorless coasters are very similar to stand-ups without as much head banging. -

^^ I gotcha. I don't know if you have ridden them or not, but unfortunately they really aren't as good as they look. Last year I rode scream at MM and I really couldn't believe how boring it was. I was excited to ride it, so I really tried to like it, and it just didn't happen. I've also rode 'medusa' at SFGAd during it's first year of operation, but that was too long ago to comment. Something like wild fire ad SDC is drastically better than Scream or Bizzaro. As far as stand up's go, they are getting pretty rough. The only smooth experience I've had on a stand up was Georgia Scorcher. There's a clear reason why no one builds them, anymore. Many of them are now walk-on's.
