  1. Good trip report. The ninja/batman area of the park is very neglected. It used to be a thriving area of the park, especially before Freeze opened. It just looks too plain, now. If I had to guess, that will change within the next 5-10 years. I would imagine our next steel investment (not counting boomerang) will take Ninja's place and the area of that park will get revived. IMO the Batman Queue needs to be changed. Although the queue does a great job of making sure you have little to no wait when you get to the station, it's a bit too long. The walk through the gardens is painfully boring. I don't even think they have the speakers turned on anymore with the batman music and the kids yelling/birds chirping. Maybe I just don't notice it anymore? If you haven't noticed, our park is notorious for a couple overly long Queues - Batman, Freeze, Boss. What did you think of the mine train? A lot of people cling on to it for the nostalgia, but I think it's boring. The 3 lift hills are retarded. It's a shame freeze was down. It makes a nice roar that you can hear throughout most of the park. I personally LOVED the ride when it launched facing the correct way, AKA FORWARD... It was a top 10er for me, which is pretty decent out of my 123 coasters. I could ride it over and over again and never get tired of it. However, when they made it launch backwards, it took something away from the ride for me. I loved the launch and being pushed back in my seat. It was also cool to fall 200 feet backwards. They tried to make a quick buck by turning the ride around and marketing it as new and I will forever be pissed off about that until it's turned back around. I hope they don't ruin all launched rides by turning them backwards after they get a little old... I feel like it does NOTHING for the ride, especially when it wasn't designed with that kind of experience in mind. When I heard they experimented with running the Batman backwards, I almost went postal. American Thunder is good, but I think Prowler has one up on it.
  2. Yeah I will. It's pretty much all I have to live for..... Sounds like someone needs to slap you in the face. Vandalism is super cool, bro...
  3. Sounds like your gf is a real keeper(idiot).
  4. How long does it take to get from Huntington Beach to Magic Mountain? I've been told I can't rely on google maps, because of LA traffic.
  5. Being from SFSTL territory, I LOL'd at that statement. On a side note, I don't understand the eurofighter hype. Daredevil Dive was practically worthless to me. However, that's the only one I've ridden.
  6. The Mine Train at SFSTL... but that goes for a lot of mine trains. Ours has 3 lift hills and no action.
  7. Maybe it's because I've been to too many six flags parks, but Cedar Point is still number one for me. A lot of their roller coasters aren't mind blowing, but they all have better than average quality, aside from disaster transport, which is gone. The park in general is well maintained and it has a great atmosphere. It's the only park I've been to where it feels like a vacation in itself, especially if you over pay and stay at one of the "resorts" on the island. Great America is also a great park, which is why it's tied with King's Island for my 2nd favorite park, but I feel like the experience is a lot different from CP. Great America owned by Cedar Fair would probably yield a different outcome.
  8. With the removal of the bumper cars and tidal wave, I seriously wouldn't be surprised if we got x flight. Just saying.
  9. It would be a terrible addition, but don't worry about it, because it's not coming here.
  10. I'd rather live in Arizona than the Midwest, any day. Going to Sedona next week to get married. The only reason I stayed in the Midwest is because I landed a Police Officer job that I'd been working toward for years and those are hard to come by in any area. You can always do a 2 day trip to California and ride great roller coasters if you wanted. SFSTL isn't worth moving to a depressed area for.
  11. I've heard from someone in the know that we are NOT getting the boomerang. He won't give us anymore information than that, but he's consistently been right about what we have been getting for the past few seasons.
  12. You get used to the heat. I have to put up with it in a bullet proof vest and 20 pounds worth of gear, while wearing black polyester. I'll take the humid heat over the frigid cold any day.
  13. It's freaking retarded and I hope they don't ruin another great ride by turning the train backwards.
  14. I doubt they will replace it with something wooden. Too much association with SOB for the GP.
  15. Sadly, this ride has been put on the rotation and will be going to Magic Mountain next year.
  16. I read that shortly after I posted. That would be an ultimate slap in the face. It would bring little to nothing to the park. I wouldn't see it as being popular at all.
  17. Has anyone heard anything about new additions for 2013?
  18. I agree with you about Mr Freeze reverse blast. I rode it at SFSTL and I really hope they change it back, eventually.
