The GP is going to eat this up. Rides aren't built for the extremely small percentage of people who are in the "coaster community." They are built for the general public to enjoy. +1 So I take it you're one of the hundreds of people on here who said Banshee was going to be forceless by looking at the videos? Yeah, I don't get that either... if this is a family ride, then what is a typical mine train??? Twenty years ago this would have been considered the thrill ride of all thrill rides. I don't think we've come THAT far yet to call it a family ride. You can't please everyone. Period. -

I'm kind of bummed out that I'm working 6-6 tonight. Looks like I'll be heading to the PD after 830 to look at this update on the station computer! Or maybe I'll just crack a beer at 6am tomorrow and get on the forums. Unfortunately I won't be able to troll TPR on the disappointing announcement. True. I also like looking at towering B&M lift hills. Maybe the turn around on the released blue print? -

Um... have you gone to Kings Island in Mason, Ohio and ridden the new steel coaster there called Banshee? If you haven't, you're in for a treat. B&M caters to what the parks what. Kings Island wanted something extreme and that was Banshee. Cedar Point wanted something to change the skyline and that was GateKeeper. Parks tells the manufacturer what they want, NOT B&M. I'm pretty sure Holiday World will NOT disappoint us. I don't know why you quoted ME on that... that wasn't my quote. I'm an advocate for B&M. Careful with your editing, please. -

Just for clarification, we don't know that the roller coaster is going to be a B&M, but there is strong evidence that suggests a B&M. -

So... you haven't ridden Banshee? I also rode Wild Eagle a couple days ago and was pleasantly surprised. Notes on this boring wing rider: It consistently had the longest queue It was visually impressive The guests seemed to LOVE it It never had down time It had a loud impressive roar that could be heard throughout the park Although not the most intense of the 147 coasters I've been on, it was definitely still a fun ride As opposed to the ride enthusiasts feel is the best ride in the park: Thunderhead I saw it down three times Guests complained of the intensity It was walk on except when it was broken down Guests seemed to not be as happy when loading and unloading. Either way, I don't think we're getting a standard wing rider or a flyer, launched or not. It's already been said that this ride will be one of a kind. I'm thinking prototype. Possibly some kind of next generation coaster based on a wing rider or flyer, but not the same. -

I don't think we're looking at a hyper, but it's anyone's guess at this point. I have a feeling this ride is going to be a completely new prototype. What time is the announcement tomorrow? -

So excited for a remodel of Scooby... way to go... Now will this technically constitute the remarketing of three existing/used rides out of the last four years? Sweet. -

I've been out of town for the last few days so I really don't have any input, but I'm hoping it's not a flyer. They make me nauseous. That being said, I'd be all a gen 2 launched wing rider. After riding Wild Eagle yesterday, I'm convinced B&M can pull off a forcefull launched wing rider. That thing craps all over X-Flight. -

It's a possibility, but HW is smart with their money and that would mean paying the cost to move the track twice, if it's hidden off site. -

A launched coaster isn't really a prototype. I think if anyone can pull it off the first time it will B&M. They have an outstanding reputation for reliability. Then don't ride it. One less person in the queue. -

^ Not really. Their themeing is there, but it's more simple and nice instead of over the top. If you can picture "less is more" working with a theme park, you can picture Holiday World. The park gets its high quality reputation from its cleanliness, price point, and friendly staff, rather than being heavily themed. -

^^ Definitely Firehawk first and FoF as others have said. After that, maybe hit Invertigo and back lot stunt coaster. You shouldn't have any problems with any of the other lines moving quickly. The Beast and Banshee are both great night rides. We rode Beast when it was about 90% dark and didn't ride in the front row and it was still great. -

Which is why I hope it's not a flyer. I've ridden 3 total, but even Tatsu was boring to me. It just kind of flew around, hit the pretzel loop, flew around some more, and went back into the station making my wife and I feeling sick. No thanks. -
Insane Coaster Wars Season 3

I've watched the show several times and I've tried to like it... but I'm not a fan. The scoring system is cool, just because it adds a different element to a coaster show. There is also some great footage. That being said, everything else is crap. Things that bother me about the show: Cheesy announcer and over the top comments Stupid comments from the coaster "enthusiasts" Cheesy rock music during the coaster footage No good technical information aside from "This coaster will spin you head over heels!" I watched the show with a couple friends once and it made my hobby seem even more childish and lame. -

Boo Blaster dark rides are my guilty pleasure. I don't get some of the guilty pleasures mentioned, as they are definite thrill rides. (drop towers wtf?)
