  1. +1. My wife and I were so excited to try In and Out.... and we didn't understand the hype. It was a cheeseburger. It was by no means bad, but it was not memorable at all. Five Guys on the other hand was like the improved In and Out and the restaurant was (mostly) douche bag free. Magic Mountain on the other hand WAS memorable and was NOT douche bag free. I think Magic Mountain can take something away from the best coaster. I wouldn't go tomorrow if it were in my back yard with free admission.
  2. It's like.... you want him to be joking... but you know he's not. Either way, it still made me laugh.
  3. ^Keeping them smooth? I love HW, but Legend and Voyage beat the hell out of me. I'm good for one ride on Legend and maybe two rides on Voyage.
  4. I'll give you that one. MM was a dump when I went 2 years ago. I've never been so unhappy around so many roller coasters. I think a lot of that is attributed to the down rides and run down areas of the park, though. It was like the park took zero pride in its coasters. Kind of like sitting a Ferrari on blocks in your front yard and letting it rot away.
  5. God, seriously shut up. When it happens I'll stick my foot in my mouth, GGGLLLLAAAADDLLLLYYYY. but... it's not going to happen. We've all been wishing and hoping for RMC, a hyper, or something with modern steel literally before you were born. I've been personally let down for 14 years running. Wish in one hand and crap in the other. Let me know which hand fills up first.
  6. This won't be enough to get me back to the park for a return trip, but it seems like a nice addition. I'm interested to see how the final product differs from a Zac Spin. I'd be willing to bet if delivers a much different ride experience, although it may not seem that way just by looking at it.
  7. I never said I hated WoF. I actually like it better than my home park (SFSTL), which I haven't been to in years. I just think the two large steel additions could have been better. I liked Mamba's airtime hill and helix. After that the uncomfortable bunny hops killed it for me. That and I have a personal prejudice against Morgan trains. They are really ugly to me, let alone uncomfortable. For me, Patriot was a lot like Silver Bullet. It looks great and I always have that desire to ride it. However, when I got off I always felt underwhelmed. The B&M invert is my favorite coaster type and Patriot was a let down for me. Like Silver Bullet, I didn't feel it stacks up to the many other inverts I've ridden.
  8. LOL, Im sorry Cedar Fair gave your park a B&M invert and a Morgan hyper Be happy its not swam boats and a lemonade stand 1. Not my home park. 2. "I feel" were two words indicating my own personal opinion. If you don't like my opinion, tough crap. Go roll your eyes at someone who states their opinion as a matter of fact. When I rode Mamba and Patriot I thought that both of them were very mediocre ranked comparatively among their types. This is one reason why when I weight my options of driving to one of the many parks within 5-6 hours of me, I never get the urge to go to WoF. No one ever said CF DUMPED Intamin. If CF wants a product that Intamin offers, they will buy it. Limiting yourself by saying you're going to eliminate one of the premier coaster manufactures as an option would be a poor business decision. A business decision that CF has not expressed.
  9. Does anyone else think that the super loopers actually look kind of fun? I'd gladly take one over a boomerang, but I can't believe SF is trying to market them as roller coasters. That and my last several SF experiences are why I am really starting to hate hate hate SF.
  10. lmao we even got the shaft while getting the shaft! On a side note... holy slutty wonder woman!
  11. You're speaking from a limited fan base of a limited fan base.
  12. Ha! Good point! Here's the original RCT back of the box. Try to picture what we would all be saying today if these were the only images we saw! The pictures on the box look as good as any Six Flags park.
  13. I was thinking the same thing, especially with their addition of a handed down Windseeker this year. My guess would be a medium scale B&M.
  14. What makes anyone think that WoF would get anything like a Mack or Zierer launched coaster? That doesn't seem to be the M.O. for Cedar Fair at all. If I were to guess, WoF's next big investment will come in the form of a B&M, most likely a wing rider. Unfortunately, I wouldn't ever count on a signature giga. I feel like WoF kind of got the shaft with not going with B&M for Mamba and then getting one of the most, if not THE most, forceless Inverts. However, Prowler was a win and I'm sure the next addition will be a winner as well.
  15. I already explained it once, but I'll highlight it for you: $60 isn't a lot of money for us, but it's money that could be used elsewhere (smart spending, hence no debt aside from our mortgage). $60 isn't worth spending for one enjoyable 20 year old steel roller coaster after an hour drive. Especially when I've ridden 7 clones of the same ride. That $60 will go toward vacation or another park.
  16. No one is "boycotting" Six Flags. There are many of us who aren't returning, because there is not a good enough reason to return. We're tired of riding the same selection that lacks quality modern steel. I'll speak for myself when I say the park doesn't offer a selection that caters to what I personally want. Batman and American Thunder are solid rides, but they don't justify the expense of going to the park. I'll gladly spend that money 5 hours away at King's Island or somewhere else that does offer a modern day ride selection that I enjoy. I used to absolutely enjoy Mr. Freeze, but the marketing ploy of taking a perfectly good coaster and turning it backwards really made me salty. It was always one of my favorites, but turning it backwards completely changed the dynamics for me. If they offered just two state of the art steel coasters that I enjoyed it would be worth the admission for me, just as it used to be. However, since I no longer enjoy Freeze, there isn't enough to bring me back. There's no boycott.
  17. Yeah, give or take. Looks like the ball has been dropped. I get what you're saying, but "Time of their lives" in reference to most visitors is kind of a stretch, don't you think???
  18. Or you could be positive for once and see it this way: At least three other Six Flags parks (Great Adventure, Over Georgia, and Discovery Kingdom) are rumored to be getting a horrible, low capacity carnival flat ride. Meanwhile, Six Flags St. Louis is replacing its rundown, low capacity dark ride with one that should be superior in every way. I think it's hard to think positive when your home park is SFSTL. YOUR GETTING A REVAMPED DARK RIDE AND NOT A CARNIVAL RIDE. Six Flags actually put THOUGHT into next year's addition for SFSTL, instead of another Boomerang. This time, SFSTL is getting a wise investment. If that isn't something to be positive about, I wonder if you actually WANT a Super Loop. Yes... and next year we should be positive when a few other Six Flags parks get a lowly pretzel stand and we at least get blessed with a nacho stand.
  19. Mr. Freeze in SFSTL, prior to it being ruined for a marketing ploy.
  20. Carrowinds announced Fury325, the worlds tallest and fastest Giga coaster. Meanwhile, SFSTL teases the announcement of the refurbishment of a dark ride.
  21. From my personal experience the V style trains seem to have more vibrations and roughness, especially on Diamondback. I don't know if this is true for all of V style trains.
  22. I think it's because some of the outer seats can be a little more rough and shaky (relative term for a B&M) as opposed to the 4 across.
  23. Only (some) coaster enthusiast would complain about a 325 foot giga coaster. I'll say it again... We at SFSTL will gladly trade you our used boomerang for your giga coaster. We'll pay freight.
