  1. The design on the trains looks really cool.
  2. And with that type of car, I'm sure you got home rather quickly Not to mention how many tickets he got on the way home. I do not want to know what he pays for insurance each month! lol I don't get tickets... but I do occasionally write them. Hold up, we got a badass over here.... Thanks for noticing.

  4. I can't believe the irony... it seems like I've been waiting all winter for Thunderbird to Launch and my 2015 Subaru STi to get here from Japan. Without trying to be a super nerd, it's awesome that when I first drove my STi home, Thunderbird was launching in Indiana for the first time! Maybe this is a good sign.

  6. Adjustments to Freeze... aka fixing it... aka turning it back around? I promise I would never b**** about SFStl again if this happened. well... never is a strong word
  7. I could care less about that trim, but I'm LOL'ing at the people judging that it won't be noticeable just by watching a POV. On another note- 2-3 rides, really? That's a lot for some people, even me. In my teens I could ride coasters non stop. However, as I'm a few months away from 30 I can only take the more intense coasters for a couple laps before it starts to get to me, and I'm in excellent shape. Your body isn't built to withstand those types of forces for extended periods of time, which is why I'm a big fan of "Beer breaks." Most people don't marathon roller coasters. Holy sh**, Vonni... did we just agree on something?
  8. You're also talking about two different park manufacturers. Rocky Mountain Construction, who is building Twisted Colossus, has a much more complex construction process than a B&M, like Thunderbird. You also have to account for Six Flags management, who are notorious for opening late attractions.
  9. ^ I see what you're saying. That being said, waiting in line can be miserable depending on who is close to you in line.
  10. The vast majority of the HW thread posts are surrounding the build-up of hints & speculation around Thunderbird and some of the other big rides like Voyage. The hints and way HW announces their additions are the main cause of the page count. So basically, HW marketing > SFStl marketing. If you have something to market. touche
  11. But...research B&M error...the odds are more favorable of no problems than some lol lol... Luckily this is true, but even proven designs fail from time to time. Hopefully not this time.
  12. 1) Going in line with EVERYTHING that HW has done with this coaster they don't want you to see it moving until THEY want you to see it moving. I'm sure they want to be able to release and exiting testing video rather than just some dull webcam shots. Be patient. 2) Who gives a crap at what other temperatures other coasters have been seen running. Why would you want to risk testing your new multi million dollar machine in temperature ranges that aren't optimal? You're just asking for problems. 3) To the people who say "It's a B&M. It won't have any problems." That's dumb. Research human error. There is always potential for failure.
  13. Does anyone think it's an indication of park popularity that a small park like HW has almost double the thread posts we have?
  14. I think I'd rather be able to see the track so I can brace myself...
  15. ^True. I think it will be a good new addition but #1 seemed to be a little more subjective than usual.
  16. US: Hershey Global: Europa Park The two I'm crossing off this summer: BGW & KD
  17. FP is worth its weight in gold. I don't enjoy being elbow to elbow with sweaty people for extended periods of time. I deal with lesser intelligent people on a daily basis at work. The last thing I want to do is be crammed next to them for forty-five minutes so I can have my two minutes of excitement. $100? $200? $300? Charge me whatever you want. I'm either paying it, or I'm not going. Money talks. Welcome to earth.
  18. I just want to commend you for making the Best Thread Ever. My wife and I always take our mid day park break for a good food and beer "cheat meal." Since we don't really believe in chain restaurants or fast food, we'll definitely reference your thread, Chuck. Thanks for the extensive list. What's your favorite around BGW? We'll be heading there next summer for my 30th. Any chicken wing recommendations? Great contribution to the thread... but I wouldn't really call fast food, food. Keep eating that garbage and let me know how it works out for you when you get to be middle aged.
  19. LMFAO!!! ooookay. It may be a good new addition, but #1? Right.
  20. Going from this: To this: Of course not even a year after we got the 13 WRX paid off we saw the 15 STi at the auto show... I've wanted one for ten years. I drove it at Dean Team and we put our deposit down for a new one immediately. They offered to sell me the one pictured at the auto show, but I didn't want one that had been molested by a thousand people, so I have to wait until the April ETA for one straight from the factory. We've got our trip to KD/BGW planned for my 30th birthday in June and Holiday World sometime in May or July. Aside from maybe one trip to KI with a buddy, I've been pretty much grounded from roller coasters, and rightly so. My wife lets me get away with murder...
  21. I think it's safe to say we'll be taking a lot less theme park trips this year, since we just ordered a new car. My wife advised me that I can't go "roller coaster crazy" this summer, since she gave me the go-ahead to get my dream car.
  22. It's worth a trip this summer. I can't put my finger on why, but I think it's my favorite park.
