That moment when you just find out there's ERT for passholders starting today...well I guess I'm going today then...LOL. If anybody is going today and wants to meet up PM me! When I was at the park on June 9th this was what it looked like: I imagine more work has been done the station since then. Hopefully they do have it open today. Your City's Skyline
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to CoasterExpert13's topic in Random, Random, Random
I live in Arnold, which is a neighborhood of Annapolis, Maryland. It's Maryland's capital and was once a capital of the US. Here's a view of Historic Downtown Annapolis' skyline. The Downtown of my town Annapolis, Maryland. -
Pride looks awesome. I live in Maryland, so its in DC every year for me. I've always wanted to go, and I was going to this year but it was during my senior week . I'm definitely going next year though. This is has been a special year for me though. I finally came out to my (new) school my senior year about being bi. I have to admit, still seeing that I voted "I'm a guy that likes girls" two years ago still haunts me, lol. But it does feel great and it feels like nothing changed at all. I wasn't ever afraid to tell my school, I have homophobic extended family and I was afraid they would find out if my cousins or someone somehow found out. But after my bi cousin came out and things changed for my aunt (positively), i felt better about it

"Why do you have tampons?" "Ugh...I get bad nose bleeds." "So you stick them up your nose?!?!" "...Yeah." - She's The Man "Oh my god.....he shit...everywhere. Oh my god. THERE'S SHIT EVERYWHERE! I am so sorry for your loss. Going through death is never easy. It gets really hard especially as the first few months go by. The best thing to do is remember him and cherish the wonderful moments you had together. His earthly presence may be gone, but he's still here for you, he's not gone . You and him are in my thoughts and prayers and I'm always here if you need anything. Just don't let yourself get too upset. That's not good for your mental health. *hugs*. Everything will be okay.

I'm also pro Superman. I love flying coasters and hangtime. Green lantern is a pretty fun ride too. But whenever I go, I usually only get it in once per visit because the line can get incredibly long and it is honestly not worth getting in line again for when there are so many other better coasters to ride. I'm not sure if the school year is still going on over there or not, but if it is, I'm sure the crowds will be way lighter on a Thursday. My advice is to show up at opening time so you can get in a lot of coasters. Kingda Ka, and Green Lantern have long line waits so try to get those in first. Most of the coasters there can get pretty crowded. Overall, lines should be moderate on a Thursday, especially if kids are still in school.

That Jokers Jinx story is really scary. There may have been a slight problem, but probably nothing too serious otherwise she would have ran to the op before the launch. So don't worry . And Superman is an okay hyper. Definitely worth the ride if you are at the park. I also agree with others that Wild One is the best gem in the park. That's my favorite coaster in the entire park. I personally prefer Jinx over FOF. FOF is amazing with the theming, but the mid course break run kills the ride honestly. It is also fun to see the headchoppers on Jokers Jinx. I've only been to the park once this season to get my pass during the spring break week, so I haven't seen the latest progress on Ragin Cajun. The French Quarter Flyer things are really nice though same with the new Falling Star theming.

Post your class schedule here!
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to pvcoasterguy's topic in Random, Random, Random
I'm a senior in high school (2 weeks left ). My school only has four classes a day, but they're like 85 minutes long each, and we have A/B days. We also switch schedules and may get new teachers, and will get new encore classes the second semester of every year. School goes from 7:17 AM - 2:05 PM. The high school start and end times are the same at every high school in my county, but I just started at this new high school in my county this year. Here's my schedule though: A DAYS First period: Aviation Technology Second Period: Linear Algebra *Lunch* Third Period: AP Lit Fourth Period: Forensics B DAYS First Period: AP HUG (Human Geography) Second Period: American Sign Language *Lunch* Third Period: Theater Arts and Media Productions Fourth Period: Studio Art 2-D I Some days we may have an advisory block my school calls "Plus Period." This is basically how my schools daily schedule is: http://www.broadneck.org/Students/bell_schedules.php It's really weird and long! -
I know, right? I'm pretty known for it at my school. At Arundel, there was a roller coaster club. I'm trying to start one at Broadneck High, but I don't know if people would join. But people are always fascinated about my passion for amusement parks and just about everyone that has a class with me knows about it. I also do a lot with theater at my high school. I used to do the acting, and I was an actor in my schools fall play this year. But anyways, I got into doing lights for a small production my theater class was going to perform to the school. Now I like the tech crew a lot and I'm joining it for the spring musical. The high schools I went to and go to now have about 2,100+ kids. So the theater company is big and fun at all of them.

I have a cousin in my family who is bisexual, and his parents and siblings were homophobic. His father (my uncle) is a pastor and is very religious. According to my cousin, I was the only cousin in our family he had told because he knows I am not homophobic and he trusts me. He has a boyfriend, and this year, my other cousin started at his high school as a freshman and he found out about his boyfriend and told his parents. His parents were extremely mad at first and got all religious on him. And his siblings were really mean to him, so he stayed at my house until his parents were ready to take him back. After 4 days, his parents said they really missed him at home, and that they love him no matter what. And they changed their views. So based on that, I think that even though your parents are homophobic, you shouldn't worry. I'm pretty sure your parents love will always love you no matter what, they're your parents. You're going to have to come out to them eventually, and when you do, it probably won't be pretty at first, but eventually they will realize they need to accept you and they will change. I promise it will be okay . And here at the coaster community, we're always here for you .

Whats The Weather Like Where You Live?
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
It's always very cold where I live in the winters, and very hot in the summer. I live where the water is, so I would expect the winters to be warmer, haha. We recently had a snow storm which left about two inches. The water is still kind of frozen over. -
My schools GSA is selling "Equally Human" shirts and I bought one. I can't wait until the day of silence. I have colorful tape I'm going to put on my mouth :3. It's amazing to see how much the country has turned around on accepting gay people and rights. I'm so happy we're finally coming towards a country where gays can live in peace. My state passed gay marriage laws last year. *Good job Maryland * And this is a response to the yay guy. Don't worry about that friend trouble. I think you should talk to him about how you feel. But not to worry, I doubt he doesn't want to talk to anymore because of that. He's your good friend Don't worry . I have had a few gay people tell me they like me before and it doesn't bother me one bit. I doubt he is bothered by it and still you have many people who support you and love you the way you are, like the people here in the coaster community .

Well, I've went to a couple of high schools. My parents have been moving all over Anne Arundel County since I was a kid, haha. My first high school was okay, I didn't really get to know it too well since I only went to it until December of my freshman year, then I moved to another high school because my parents moved from Edgewater to Crofton. I fell in love with the next high high school. High school is great for me. I was like friends with everyone, and it was just amazing. That school was amazing. I started joining a lot of activities. My parents moved to Arnold this year so the new area was something to get used to, but I love it here. The high school is really nice like my other one was too. I am now a senior this year, and am really sad and nervous to graduate. School is like a second home to me because there's people there and even if I didn't really talk to them, I grew a connection to them from seeing them every day, and I'm just going to miss them. They're like family. But I assume college will be fun too.
