Are you talking about the area in the lower right hand of this picture? I think that's it. I just remember it around and/or merging with the Splash water falls exit. The vivid part for me was the sign stating it was the "Demon viewing area."

Yes it does but not under the corks, just near them. It's actually a pathway that's part of the exit. I'm speaking of the "Demon viewing area" (there was a sign for it) which was under one of the corkscrews, near the old waterfall and blood fountains I'm thinking it was taken out around the time of Splash Water Falls.

^woop woop! Lookin good Might be a longshot, but a viewing area under the ride would be a big hit. I remember Demon having one under the corks, but that was gone by the late 80s. (Does the CA Demon still have its viewing area?)

They said years ago they wanted a steel looper that: (1) includes a launch (2) lapbars only (3) has a height requirement not over 42" B&M is out. Thankfully

There is something rustic and creepy about the wooden handrails on such a huge ride. It also makes it look remotely trough-like; a psuedo half-tunnel almost. I like it!

The online thing has taken off big time, but it's strange, isn't it? You never know until you meet someone in person what you're going to get. Us recovery folks are everywhere. We're everywhere hehe! Even when I do go to bars now, it seems everyone is looking at their phones. But that's everywhere; I need to work harder on "getting over it." Very kind of you, thanks. I'm waiting for a good match. No more "settling" for mediocre.

^I think another part of is that some of us are single and a little... lonely I go out maybe 3-4 times a year now. It's usually with friends and we usually go to comedy night at Sidetrack. If I wasn't single, I probably wouldn't want to go even that much. There is always that chance you could meet someone nice

I think that would make you a good parent! And probably a good day for the park; if there are school trips that day, they usually leave between 3-5. After that, you have the park to yourself. Even if it's only an hour or so, still good coaster time!

Depending on how little the Little Coaster Dude is, you may have to skip the B&M coasters which have a height requirement of 54". If he's over that limit, you might want to check out Raging Bull. Whizzer is a must, RED side of American Eagle (front!), Viper, and Demon (very front or 2nd from back). Just my 2 cents

Yup! Skyrocket at Kennywood is great, and people seem to love YOLOcoaster at SFMM. I would bet RMC is also capable of building an all steel coaster as well...

I'm having a daydream of all the "big" parks replacing their Intamin/S&S towers with the same height ARM towers. But put 2 of em up for the capacity Seriously, those are serious thrill machines. They rival the old Intamin 1st gen freefalls, then up ante with the "no stop" at the top. The Intamin drops are great, but it's like eating an apple compared to an apple pie.

^^haha! True, that isn't much time. I don't care too much when media day is (3am is 3am!) but they sure have to stepped up the pace in the past few days. I'm assuming they were "more busy" with stuff we couldn't see a couple weeks ago (electrical, brakes, etc.) and now they're finishing off the most spectacular looking parts of the ride. The icing on the cake!

True, but stuff could be moved around a bit to give each holiday more space/walking area. Never know what they're up to! Who'da thought they would build at 6,400' long coaster with 24 hills and 7 underground tunnels (and keep most of the trees wink wink). I'm gonna start a "no B&M for Holiday World" petition. We have enough of those at the corporate parks. (Plus, they would never do it with a 54" height requirement, so I guess I won't start a petition )

I hate it too. But there is a reason for it... it's part of the culture as many lgbt folks don't have a lot of close family for one reason or another. That's all changing quickly - thank god - but it's still all the reason for me to be "out." The more of us are out and about, the better it is for the next generation. Being in recovery these days, I simply don't go to bars very often. But I used to date guys (and had friends) where that was the main focus of a trip, and being a bar person back then, I was guilty as well. It's nice to be getting a life now Yay! I *LOVE* Pennsylvania not only for having the highest concentration of best parks/coasters, but so much more. The people, the food, the foliage, the curving highways on the way to ride coasters!

^Haha! Complimentary stuff is always nice, but even if they don't reply, they are getting your letter and reading it. It all gets filed. I always like to think that the most valuable thing is being heard, and taking the time to write in the first place. You never know what can happen! Things have improved here and there in the park; we still get to ride Whizzer and Goliath is getting a single rider line, just 2 examples.

Write a letter to the park. Make sure it's polite and don't forget to say the positive things. Write the letter from your point of view as a paying customer, not the point of view and a theme park enthusiast. Service has taken a nose dive in the past 15 years nearly everywhere you go. If people don't let them know, they can't do anything about it. (Not saying your letter will work a miracle, but letting those know who can do something is better than putting it online. If more people do it, it could get better.) Another thing to remember is that it's the beginning of the season, but I understand what you are saying. Getting food at the park is tough sometimes; it seems like a slow and unorganized ordeal (because it is.) As for ride operations, it's especially difficult to watch after having worked at Cedar Point in the early 90s when we could get written up for having below our hourly quota of passengers (over 1,000 for every coaster in the park. At that time; things have change a little there, too.)

Wow, a purple train!? Looks great! Coaster is at the top of my must-ride classic coaster list.

As others mentioned, those are the type of restraints I would love to see on big B&M coasters. Just get rid of the stupid vests. Note the Intamin shoulder straps (including the awful metal/plastic ones on Maverick) are ready to be gone with a few turns of an Allen wrench. They may not want to remove them, but the designer was thinking ahead.

Great pictures. One friend who rode Lightning Run told me it's the new and improved mega lite. Interesting!
