  1. What if Intamin gave the park a HUGE discount on a coaster in lieu of the Pilgrim's Plunge/Giraffica issues? Our minds are churning.
  2. As I suspected, this thing is looking very ominous and "scary." More so than any other coaster I can think of (except the Demon when I was a kid!)
  3. Meh, screw all that city crap. Let's go to Great America! The Demon is waiting
  4. I think it was designed by Alan Shilke (?) of RMC (look at the similarities)... can anyone confirm that?
  5. Launching, dueling water coasters that also duel with Voyage
  6. You're welcome! What was your favorite part? ... and did you take note we had not one - but two - types of gravy on the buffet? The green beans was my favorite part. Or maybe the gravy... Or seeing a friend riding the HW coasters for the first time. Too many favorite parts
  7. Whatever it will be, if the clearing areas are any indication, it will cover a long distance. I'm gonna guess a coaster that intertwines with Voyage. A Mack, as they need a more "family-ish" coaster, but many hope for a RMC. I vote for the family terrain looper (Revolution meets Mind Bender meets bluefire meets Verbolten!). Maybe it's a new water coaster!? I have no clue. But it's gonna be good, they do stuff to the fullest at HW. Had a great time yesterday! Thank you Holiday World and Paula! I'm a very lucky coaster nerd.
  8. Strange is good. It would suck if everything looked like a B&M.
  9. I'm not making it to HWN this year, but heading down tomorrow for the "don't wanna miss" day on Thursday
  10. ^Hehehe! I'll bring my Sham Wow!
  11. We have a gay sports bar here in Chicago, called "Crew." I dunno if it's still supposed to be a sports bar (I don't go to bars much), but the one time I went years ago it was kinda funny as they were playing typical gay club music. Which is just fine, but it hit me as an odd juxtaposition.
  12. ^It's good. People are naturally shocked by something they have never seen or thought was gross (even if it's actually beautiful, like what we saw). Every time after, they will be less shocked. Baby steps I guess
  13. Good to hear you liked Voyage. Were the other coasters not running in the rain? Rain can be an opportunistic time for us coaster nerds, you know (depending on the park, I guess). The park is growing slowly. I have a feeling you'll want to go back soon. Nothing like Voyage (even though Legend is my favorite). As for the price, you could look at it as parking, pop and sunblock included. And depending on the lines (they are usually short and fast), it's like a flash/fast pass included (with the good operations!).
  14. Hey look, a rainbow highlighting the force of RMC who will get the job done! Impressive that they're working on a Sunday, thanks guys!
  15. Heartwarming to see Michael Sam's reaction! A huge step forward.
  16. Thanks for the pictures. Monster looks great!
  17. Haha! nerd1: "Do you want to go for a pop or go to the waterpark?" nerd2: "Let's do the waterpark. It's cheaper."
  18. Nope, it's not just you. Check out Mind Bender at SFOG and some of the other Schwarzkopf coasters. They are like woodies with loops (but now we have real woodies with loops...).
  19. ^Good explanation. I'd would guess the tie to tie distance to be about 4 feet though. RMC also seems like they are ready to do complete custom jobs; work around stuff and build interesting rides. It's refreshing among all the B&M stuff. I'd even put GCI and Intamin in bunch. Good rides, but all very same-y.
  20. I guess this will be 2nd runner up for most "see through inversion." Imagine this but with less track ties and supports. Good stuff!
  21. ^And with minimal track ties, you will see through that inversion more than any inversion ever. "The worlds most seeing-through inversion." hehe
  22. ^I meant 6 consecutive inversions... plus one more
  23. If you like fancy signs, go to Cedar Fair parks. If you like kick butt rides (with cheap looking signs), go to Six Flags
