Anything new would be great, I would just prefer they spend the cash on something other than a Windseeker. DA, yeah not the greatest either especially when they took out the old cars. I hope that the rework in the park brings in a big ride in 2014.

Wind seeker, are you serious? After riding it at Cedar Point I was less than excited with it. Go up in the ain't 300 feet, spin around a few times and back down. Honestly this ride has zero rerideability for me and a few others I have talked too. Lady season at Cedar Point on a Friday the park was busy and yet Windseeker was nearly a walk on ride, that tells me something as well.

So is GK actually going to be ready when the park opens next season?

Thanks, great advice. I think we are going to be in the park May 14th or 15th, mid week so it should be slower. I think that we are all going to be getting the Platinum passes but I think we can avoid the fast lane.

Thanks, figured the platinum pass would be the way to go. We are all coming from the Minneapolis area and have Valley Fair that we can go to anytime during the season as well. But reading this is that there isn't a nice Cedar Fair package that you can stay and go to a couple different parks. That would be a nice thing for them to implement.

Heading to Kings Island next season, what do I have to ride and what do I want to avoid, will have Fast Lane as well. Good places that we have to eat a can't miss sort of thing? Thanks.

Curious if anyone has any information on good places to stay and if there is possibly a combined packed for both parks. I am planning for 6 guys to hit both parks and would take any information you can give, 4 of us went and stayed at the Lighthouse Cedar Point last year so I am familiar with that park at least. Thanks.

It has been much busier this year than last year, almost whenever I go no matter the time or day it is busy.

Antique Autos is really the only (and best) place to put the Dino's exhibit, not that I like the idea but at least the park is getting something new. Maybe just maybe the Dino's Alive will bring enough people and cash into the park that Cedar Fair goes ahead and builds a new coaster, but I live in the real world and know a new coaster isn't going to come to VF anytime soon.

So is the goal to have this operational for opening day 2013?

Do you weigh 25 pounds? Even then I don't see how you could be almost standing up on Blue Streak.

So is antique autos getting removed for the Dino's? It actually makes sense to put the Dinos under the trees.

Dinosaurs Alive is actually coming to the park? I have young kids and won't waste my money on that lame ass attraction.

Rode Mean Streak a couple weeks back near the back of the train, it was absolutely horrible. If this year is better than in years past I have sincere sympathy for anyone riding it the last couple years. It is a boring track that is painful to ride, tear it down and replace it with an awesome new woodie (i.e El Toro type of coaster)

This I posted on May 30th. Also. Just downloaded the new Valley Fair Iphone app and was looking at the map, could VF be getting a new coaster that will go over the Antique Cars and in turn over the entrance to the park, similar to what CP might be doing?

Well I will admit we did marathon the big rides Friday, namely Maverick. The way things are set up makes it so very easy to get off and right back on the ride at Millennium and Maverick.

Went to Cedar Point this last Thursday and Friday. Thursday no Fast Lane and Friday with Fast Lane, both days were fantastic weather to be there. Thursday we managed to get on 31 rides and surprisingly Gemini was the longest wait of the entire day and that being 30 minutes, everything was pretty much a walk on ride. Rides we went on. 3 Raptor 3 Mantis 1 Windseeker 1 Maxair 1 Wicked Twister 2 Skyhawk 1 Magnum 1 Mean Streak 1 Gemini 2 Blue Streak 3 Millennium 3 Top Thrill 1 Mine Ride 1 Sky Ride 1 Corkscrew 1 Iron Dragon 1 Bumper Cars 1 Power Tower 2 Maverick Friday with Fast Lane. The crowds were insane, wait times were routinely 1-2 hours for Top Thrill, Maverick, Raptor, Mantis, Millennium. Tons of buses and families in the park. I don't recall anyone getting mad at us for the Fast Lane only people asking where they could get one. We went on 41 rides Friday, skipping the rides we had no interest in going on a second time. 11 Maverick 4 Blue Streak 3 Raptor 3 Maxair 1 Wicked Twister 1 Power Tower 4 Top Thrill 1 Mean Streak 4 Gemini (had both trains running so thought is was fun to race.) 5 Millennium 2 Skyhawk 2 Magnum We didn't see very many Fast Lane wrist bands on anyone with the exception of Top Thrill, they were loading the front train with Fast Lane and the second train with "regular" park people. The entire day the only place I saw a line slow down was at Top Thrill, the lines kept moving and as I saw the Fast Lane people didn't make the wait times any longer than if there was no Fast Lane. We mainly wanted to get on a ton of rides and took any open seat we could get, never waiting for a front seat on anything. We did have a much more relaxed time in the park Friday, we sat down and had breakfast and lunch, if we would have really tried I am sure we could have gotten on 50 rides or more if we had tried.

Common sense, that actually made me laugh out loud.

You could really just go to the Cedar Point website and go to the FL tab, but here is the price break down. Number of Guests Price Per Person (Sunday - Friday)2 1 $50 2 $45 3 $40 4 $35 5 or More $30 I have my FL passes ready to go for this Friday. Thursday we don't have FL but if the park is even remotely crowded for some reason we will buy them that day as well.

Wild Thing at Valley Fair.

Three girls today talking while we waited fin line at Valley Fair for the Extreme Swing ride (Exact same as Sky Hawk at Cedar Point). Girl 1 telling girl 3 that last she was in line and watch a guy fall out off the ride when it was at the top of it's swing, but it was ok because he fell into the water ans swam to shore. Girl 2 telling girl 3.....it's true I was there. Then went on to tell her that he was fine so it never made it into the news. Seriously, how could a person ever fall off that ride?

This pet peeve of mine has just recently started. As I have been reading through some of the FB park pages it always gets me that people seem to have to post why they are not going to the park on a certain day. You constantly get I love Cedar Point.......but can't go because such and such. This happens over and over, and honestly I just don't care. It seems that people are trying to make the things in their life important to others and that is why they are not going.
