  1. I'm diabetic, so the answer is "no." Seriously, despite all the bashing that restaurants and fast food places get, you can eat healthy if you're careful about what you choose. Getting the nutrition information is as easy as clicking your mouse a few times, or by getting it in print at the restaurant. Sometimes, less can be more. I never get secret sauce/dressing/etc. on my burgers. If you saw how much fat and carbs those items contain, you'd think twice, too. One example: McDonald's Big Mac. Get it without sauce, then add a little ketchup. It tastes almost exactly the same, yet you save at least 100 calories and 10-20 grams of fat. Portion size comes into play as well. For me, a "normal" restaurant meal means that I'll get two to three meals out of it. I could probably eat for a week after a visit to Claim Jumper. (I've never been, but have heard about their ENORMOUS portions.) Over the last few years, I've found it easier to simply forgo the junk. To me, it just doesn't taste that good anymore and I don't need it anyway. Eric
  2. "Instead of this going to Knott's it would of been awesome if it went to CGA instead." (Lady Gaga) Keep in mind that CGA is very close to the San Jose Airport. Their two current towers are about 200 feet tall, but something like this would probably be too tall to be that close to a major airport. Also---and this is my speculation---CGA seems to be getting the shaft when it comes to major expenditures. The GCII coaster that was supposed to go in a couple of years ago, then next year, now isn't going in till at least 2012. That makes me wonder about the future of the park. Eric
  3. What if it's Del Holland? But I remember Bonnie. She was indeed a nice person to talk to whenever I saw her at the park. I can't say it enough times, I'm going to miss Jay and wish him the best of luck wherever he goes. Eric
  4. One other way to look at this is why do many businesses give old people 10% off? A lot of older people have more money than younger people and can afford whatever they're buying. Eric
  5. If this is indeed true, it suck-ity sucks. Jay was always a welcome face to see at SFMM. Perhaps Neal Thurman will either move up or will be changed to be Park Director/Manager...who knows. Wherever Jay is headed, I wish him the very best. Eric
  6. What's the difference between a donkey and a mule? A donkey needs more letters to spell its name. Are donkeys and mules related? Only in certain states. Why don't eople ride donkeys anymore? "Eople" never rode donkeys in the first place. Why is the donkey in Shrek voiced by Eddie Murphy? Because Brad Pitt was busy. Do donkeys really go: "Yeeeehhuuuah!"? That's a local dialect. What do doneys eat? "Doneys" eat whatever "eople" give them. Can donkeys talk? Can people bray? Why have they never made donkey-shaped ice cream pops? Because the ice cream pop makers don't want to make an ass out of themselves. Can you keep a donkey as a house pet if it's really small? Better to have a bigger house. When will they make donkey-shaped cookies? When New Mexico makes them the official state animal. If a donkey and a sheep got in a fight, who would win? Easily the sheep would---he'd pull the wool right over the donkey's eyes. Do donkeys produce milk? The ones that work at dairies do. If a donkey was classified as a human, what city would they want to live in or represent? Bra-a-a-a-a-a-nson, MO. Would a donkey eat tacos? A Mexican donkey would. Do donkeys chew your furniture? Only when you let them sit on your sofa when company comes over. Can donkeys wear shoes? The ones with a little "sole" can. Do donkey have sleeves? Not all donkey do. What does donkey dung smell like? You may take on that project... How smart are donkeys? About that smart. Can donkeys wear glasses? They prefer to drink out of them. Should I let a donkey drive my car? Your donkey took you where you wanted to go, so now let him take you where he wants to go. I hope I've helped you out with all of your questions. Eric
  7. At least once a day, actually. Have you ever tried to use an expired coupon and hope that the cashier didn't notice?
  8. At garage sales. How did people stick things together before glue was invented?
  9. ^ I think my problem with all of the quirks and foibles of people's writing comes from me being a technical writer and just one who wants to express things correctly. There are many things I could peeve about in that regard, but I just happened to pick that one today because I saw something earlier. Eric
  10. About ten minutes. Why do Post-It notes come in so many colors?
  11. When people write dollar amounts with the dollar sign following the amount. Example: 10$. And when people write a dollar amount less than $1.00 as ".54¢" 54/100 of a cent? Would you like change back from your penny? Just a peeve-ity, pissy day for me. Eric
  12. They will if you bring your own tools to cut them up. What does it mean if you ask a question in writing, but end the sentence with a period instead of the question mark?
  13. ^ Just by chance, were you born on a Thuursday. Eric
  14. Zippered pockets, either in shorts or a jacket, are the best way to go just because they don't open nearly as easily as a snap, button, or Velcro. Personally, I think it's well worth a dollar to use one of those notorious pay-per-use cubbies and know that your expensive stuff will be there when you get back. And the nice thing is that if a ride isn't that crowded, you can ride again because you normally get 90-120 minutes use of that locked enclosure for your dollar. Eric
  15. He gave it away when he was wrapping Kris-mas gifts. How do they determine how much chicken to put into chicken noodle soup?
  16. I don't live in either place, but I think both the Las Vegas area and the greater Phoenix area could use a better park than what's already there. The population can certainly support it. Eric
  17. I think the best defense here is to get a name if possible and make a stop at Guest Relations to report it. If enough people are disciplined---or flat out fired---it might wake up a few people. Eric
  18. Tatsu's loading times are comparable to X2---if not worse---to be honest. And SFMM doesn't even charge FlashPass holders to ride it like they do with X2. Eric
  19. More and more signs have Braille on them to help those with little or no vision. What got me thinking about this was earlier today as I walked through the hallways of our building and saw signs for the various rooms and stairwells. But what I wonder is how do blind people even know where the sign is in the first place so they can feel the raised dots? Do they grope the walls till they find it? Eric
  20. I wasn't "groin" to answer this, but I will: yes, I have. Do any of your parents/partners bring their work home?
  21. Nope. I did find $40 in the wash one time, but I knew it wasn't mine, so I gave it to the Mrs. Have you been to Cliff's in Albuquerque?
  22. He was absent the day they taught that lesson. Why can't I find my Baja Fresh cup?
  23. Because I brought this topic back from the dead. What happens if you eat both bacon and sausage at the same meal?
  24. This is why I think Disney's FastPass runs circles around Six Flags' FlashPass. It's free, anyone can use it, and the line merges with the stand-by line at a point before the loading station. Jus' mah 'pinion. Eric
