I visit Burger King on a fairly regular basis, so I'll look into it and post something here. Eric

Anything silly is amazing, so I'll say yes. Should EBL have a cow?

Nice report. That Wildcat looks like the same exact model that SFMM had back in the '70s and early '80s---even the same color, too. That fair looks like it has a pretty decent selection of coasters, too. Eric EDIT: And I forgot to mention that last December at the L.A. Auto Show, I got to drive a 2011 Ford Fiesta. My thoughts? Eh.

No, you need to add exclamation points, italics, horns, streamers, and cheerleaders! Do you save old paycheck stubs?

Did MayTheGForceBeWithYou ask a question? Not only did he not, but I had to ask AND answer one for him. Should Coca-Cola sell Orange Coke in the U.S.?

^ The University of Virginia can give you an education, and foam can make your clothes clean. See? No worries! Eric

"I can't imagine all that design and engineering going into this to only make three cars total..." (Robb) That's my thinking as well, to be honest. There are times when similar rides get an update, and one of them gets "Version 2.0" for a valid reason (like the new X2 trains vs. the ones on Eejanaika in Japan). About the emergency brake run behind Superman, they will likely remove the plastic curtains for the reason stated above, but build a cover over the brakes to darken that area and "hide" it from view. Or put some theming back there and let it tie into the ride somehow. Other rides don't hide their transfer tracks, so having it open wouldn't be an issue. Eric

^ Party pooper. I'm not scared of heights at all, but I'm not sure I'd climb a tower unrestrained. You never know what could happen. Eric -

Because you're 15 and old enough to make dinner for everyone else---even the cat. Why did they name Jack in the Box restaurants after a kid's toy? -
Vekoma Roller Coasters

"$1.2 Million? That's highway robbery if you ask me" (Movieguy) Engineering and manufacturing ain't cheap. Eric "has worked in engineering since the '70s" L. -
The Tower of Terror's car didn't get the stadium seating, but is it possible that between now and when Superman reopens, Intamin could design the new vehicle that way? Or maybe that would actually lesson the aerodynamics of it---when you think about it, it'd be like launching a wedge, thick side first. It appears that the launch will still have something of a kick to it, based on that one lady's head when the car took off, but it doesn't look too bad. Eric

Six Flags St. Louis (SFStL) Discussion Thread
ebl replied to Homer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Actually, the swing ride that operates at the fair is a Sky Flyer, which is a smaller version of the Star Flyer. You can watch a video of one in action by clicking here. With SFStL getting an honest-to-goodness Star Flyer, it makes me wonder if SFMM will as well to keep up with Knott's. Eric -
^^ Nicely done. The only difference with my "tower segment counting method" is that I count from the top. It would be nice if the park boosted the launch enough for the cars to reach the third segment (from the top). Does anyone know if they're going to give the backwards treatment to both tracks? I think it'd be nice to leave one side forward just for the variety. Eric

^^ I agree with your logic about diverting the crowds away from coasters and "balancing the load," so to speak, but how many of us here would actually ride those flat rides? Personally, depending on the ride, I'd ride once just to say I did and that's about it. One peeve of mine regarding Superman: It runs a single car on each track, not a "train." About Deja Vu...I can't imagine why it would be closed till next spring unless it needs a major rehab or they just need to keep people out of the area while they get the Roller Skater up and going. One thought that did go through my mind was the remote possibility of the last Deja Vu joining its siblings and being removed. (I don't believe that to be the case, though, as it seems to run well here.) Eric

^ Not to mention save you a ton of money. Diana is going to community college right now so she can get her General Education done for less while she lives at home. When I was in high school, I got through with a 3.2 average---enough to graduate with honors. As for a rant, I really don't have one at this time, but I'm sure I'll think of one. Check back later. IKEA Lets Loose a Herd of 100 Cats Into Store

Southern California parks really have some good competition for their Halloween events, and I'd think that having to work for market share would drive each park to do their best. Hopefully with Knott's and Universal doing events that have been so much better in the past, Six Flags would be willing to lay out a bit more to up what they offer. Eric

^ About the chocolate Coke...I brewed some last night and it's actually pretty good. Diet Coke + Torani Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup = WIN! Anyway... Twilight fans are such freaks because only half of their lights are on...it is "twilight," isn't it? Why aren't there any green Taiko smilies on TPR? -
