  1. ^ You make a good point. We saw some LED floodlights that would be perfect for the motion-sensor light in the entry at our house. Indeed, two of them light the place up like daylight. But one by one, they started failing till it got down to about an eight of the bulbs lit. I finally tossed them and got fluorescent ones that work just fine. As for the logo, if not LEDs, something else would be cool as well...maybe something where the logo is animated in some way. Eric
  2. These days with LED technology, they could light that logo even more brilliantly than ever, and it would cost a fraction in electricity than it did before. Hopefully they'll consider that. Eric
  3. ^^ You know what else makes sense? The U.S. Mint... Eric
  4. Arrow also did Space Mountain at WDW if I'm not mistaken. And Vekoma has done at least the U.S. versions of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and most likely the overseas ones. Eric
  5. ^^ I forgot to mention in my last trip report that our train came to a complete stop on Goliath's block brake. Then we sat for a few seconds. That was definitely a first for me. Eric
  6. When something is false, we say that it's untrue. Therefore, if something is true, can we say that it's unfalse? Eric
  7. No, but they serve 'em up that way with Del Taco's combos for some reason. Have you ever been to a drive-in movie?
  8. Funny thing, even as recently as earlier this year, during the spiel instructing riders how to board, secure restraints, etc., it still referred to SFMM as "The Xtreme Park!" The whole "Xtreme Park" thing was phased out a few years ago if I recall. But then, there's still a picture of a troll inside the Sandblasters ride... Eric
  9. Extra hour of sleep tonight, thanks to the end of Daylight Saving Time. Eric
  10. Speaking of Mr. Six, I haven't seen much of him lately. Y'think he could he be on his way out? Eric
  11. I don't think the Sierra Twist area is big enough for the roller skater, unless they tear out a bit more of the hillside. And I believe there was supposed to be a new restaurant going into that location. Since Yosemite Sam Sierra Falls is coming out, I'm thinking that the so-called Little Flash will go in somewhere near there. Eric
  12. ^ Those only weigh a graham or two. Eric
  13. ^ For some, the cure is to stop taking a Stupid pill each morning. I know people who take them. Eric
  14. SFMM used pictures of the Big Bad Wolf for their early "shots" of Ninja. As we know, that wasn't even a Six Flags ride. Eric
  15. I did note that the arch over the entrance to Gotham City Backlot now reads simply "Backlot." That could be a clue. Eric
  16. I'm the joint owner of two paid for cars at our house, and one with two more years to go. Do you ever pull your hair in frustration?
  17. ^ Sometimes moms are the reason you take painkillers. Eric
  18. ^ Odd place for it. I didn't even think to look for it while riding, being that I figured it would have been parked on the transfer track. But I still wonder if it's headed for the scrap yard or sitting out being used to keep the other two going. I believe that these three trains are the only B&M wood coaster trains in existence, and I'm sure that B&M isn't going to make any more. And it's hard to believe that they're 20 years old, too. Eric
  19. One thing I think is funny is how they don't even cover the word "Psyclone" on the trains! I forgot to mention that riding in the front of the train when going backwards, you get some weird airtime on Colossus---sort of a "lifted up and thrown back" feeling. Eric
  20. Here's a random question: does anyone know where the red-winged Pscylone train is? They were only using the yellow- and orange-winged trains on backwards Colossus, and the red one was not on the transfer track. Could it have been dismantled for parts for the other two trains? Eric
  21. ^^ Remove him and make your profile visible only to your friends. And while on the subject, people who go out of their way to annoy others is my rant du jour. That, and daughters who lie to your face. But I'd better not go there... Eric
  22. Do you think it smells nice in Cologne, Germany? Eric
  23. The girls went out to their friends' house, so instead of just staying home, I headed out to SFMM. In fact, I'm posting this from the Cyber Cafe before hitting the road to go home. The park isn't that busy, really. I arrived about 11. One ride on X2, about an hour wait. That was the longest. One ride on Viper, two-train wait. One ride on Ninja, about a three-train wait. One ride on Terminator, maybe 15 minutes. One ride on Gold Rusher, two-train wait. One ride on Riddler's Revenge, used single-rider line, five minutes. One ride on Goliath, two-train wait. One ride on Colossus forward, walk-on. Two rides on Colossus backwards, once in front, once in back, about ten minutes each. For the most part a fun day, but I was pretty tired from yesterday and probably should have rested up. I just wanted the backwards rides on Colossus since that ends today. Eric
  24. I've heard a couple of times that Thrill Shot is supposed to be removed at some point. Exactly when is not known. In all the times I've been to SFMM when it was open, I rarely saw anyone ride it. Eric
