BREAD BALONEY BREAD ^ That's a baloney sammich. Eric

Even though the concept of a rotating car is similar between the Zac-spin and 4th Dimension, I don't think anyone will confuse Green Lantern or X2 any more than Batman and Deja Vu (as both of those are inverted coasters). It is understandable, though, how some people confuse Apocanator (Termilypse?) because they're both wood and about the same color and location. On the other hand, I'm sure there are a few people out there who'd confuse Goliath and Gold Rusher because both rides start with "G-O-L..." Eric

I think the original site planned for Windseeker is the best place for it. The Sky Cabin is old and needs to go. It's hard to imagine it in Fiesta Village; it would really cramp the area in my opinion. Yesterday was GhostRider's 12th birthday, and I'm proud to say that I rode it at 7am on its opening day. Brings back memories of how it used to be. Eric

Everyone says, "Give peace a chance." But what about carrots? Don't they go together? Eric

^ You're right about that, but when some people can't, don't, or won't write correctly, it's rantworthy. Eric

According to Google Maps, it is 2172.55 miles from the very center of Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland to the very center of Cinderella's Castle at The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. Eric

^ And don't forget my favorite one---the usage of "its" vs. "it's." It's = it is (or "it has"). Its = possessive, gender neutral. If you're not sure which one to use, substitute "it is" when you write "it's" and see how your sentence sounds. If it sounds stupid---which it will---use "its." Eric

^^ Speaking of the X2 transformation, I noticed on my last visit that the big "X2 - The Transformation" sign at the entry to the parking lot was finally taken down. I'm not sure why it was left up for well over a year, but for some reason it was. I was supposed to visit SFMM this Saturday with a friend, but other plans have been made. Maybe around Christmas... The tower looks really nice now that the yellow is making its appearance. I'm curious to see what the new cars look like. Eric

^ One thing to keep in mind...if Six Flags has is trying to recoup some money, I wouldn't be surprised if they stop allowing parking re-entry. That would also be an incentive to keep people in the park to eat. While food prices in the park are high, I've never understood how walking 3/4 mile (as measured from the ticket booths) down to Wendy's (and another 3/4 mile back---uphill) is worth it just to save a few bucks. And not to mention the time invested. It's like the old ladies who buy something for a dollar, then find the same item for 95 cents across town, buy the item again there, then drive back to the original store to return it. They saved FIVE CENTS, but spent a buck in gas and a half hour of time to do it. Eric

^ Now you have taste bumps---like speed bumps, only they taste better. I honestly can't remember any time I've gone bowling and had any of my friends complain about how stupid the pinsetting equipment looked while doing its job. Eric

Two guys on electric scooters in the exit area of Spaceship Earth at Epcot. The guy in front hits the control to move forward, but instead goes in reverse and smacks the scooter behind him. I had to wait till I got outside before I could laugh. Another time, at SFMM, as I was leaving Psyclone, some people walking toward it said that it looked like the freeway overpasses. (They were referring to the timbers that held up a few of the ones in the area that had been weakened by the Northridge earthquake in 1994.) Eric

Two big casino jobs in the next week. Christmas cash will be earned. Eric

I haven't gotten my 2011 pass renewed yet, but if I have to pay to park at, say, SFDK (if I ever get back up there), that's not so bad. Since I don't get to many parks anyway, it's not a big deal for me. And because I got all of my Funatics awards this year, I get 20% off of next year's pass, so I've already saved $25. In my opinion, one problem with cheap season passes is that it's too easy to go too often. At one time, a visit to SFMM was a special treat; now it's too easy to head out there if I get bored or just want something to do. I'll probably go fewer times next year and enjoy each visit more. It's funny how at one time, PTCs were considered to be THE BEST trains a wooden coaster could have. Now, it seems like rides running them are slowly being torn up. Someone told me once that the mechanics at SFMM absolutely hated them, which is why the old three-bench PTC trains on Colossus were replaced in 1987 with the current Morgans (those were about the only other option at that time). I agree that the "Rocky Mountain treatment" should only be done when a coaster needs a major retracking and doing so with new wood just won't cut it. Eric

Strange, I posted a reply and it disappeared. Now that we've put a new spin on this thread, I just wanted to spin it back to seriousness and ask a few questions about a Zac-Spin. Never having ridden one, I'm curious as to whether the cars load and unload at the same point or if they unload, move to Load, then are dispatched. With each car holding up to eight riders, it can give the ride a feel of decent capacity if cars are dispatched regularly. Eric

Sorry to say, they couldn't release any POV footage of my colonoscopy. But I did get pictures---cleanest colon in the West! Eric
