^ The peeves below the one of mine you quoted are some of mine as well. I've never understood the need to be so close to someone else, be it walking, in a store, on the road, wherever. Personal space, people. And don't even start me about unruly kids... Eric

No. Have you ever really laughed so hard that you spewed some sort of liquid (food included) onto your monitor?

As one who has ridden "dueling Superman," I can say it's quite a thrill. Back in early 1998, I was invited to participate in the filming of one of the Discovery Channel coaster shows. Several times, they "dueled" Superman and taped it. One thing I remember is being in the front seat of the right-hand car and reaching near the top of the tower alongside the left-hand car. I watched as the car paused before its descent, and noticed that while it was stopped for that brief moment, the front end of the car began tipping backwards (I noticed the front wheel leave the track, but caught by the underwheel). Then the cars both began falling backwards. I wished I'd have gotten that on tape! Also, Riddler's Revenge was under construction at that time. As we arrived, the lift was near completion, about one section away from being topped off. By the time we left the park, the lift had been topped off. When the show was aired you could see Riddler's lift hill at different stages in completion, but the topped off part came earlier in the show than the other part! LOL!!! Eric

Stupid things we did as (little?) children!

"Wow. That is so immature" (chmilo24 Well...he's 13. He'll get better. Eric -
^ Lucky you. They closed all of the SoCal Fresh Choice locations. But at least we still have Souplantation---known as Sweet Tomatoes in your area, thrillgeek. But I get to spend the evening at one of the local yacht clubs dealing roulette. Easy $100, which I can use. Eric

^ I've never been to Magical Midway, but I'd almost kill to get a chance to ride that Star Flyer. That's one of the few flat rides that really has my interest. I say, if you don't have a fear of heights, be sure not to miss it! Eric

If it counts, I did so in a dream. I was in front of the entire school and was supposed to sing a song. But I started off with a joke---at which no one laughed---then broke into the song. When was the last time you charged your cell phone?

^ I don't know...it's been quite a long time since I jumped up and down on a perch... When was the last time you got stuck by a train at a crossing?
-
What home page? When was the last time you ran into a friend (that didn't come with you) while you were out shopping?

McDonald's is your kind of place. They serve you rattlesnakes. Put spiders in your shakes. It's such a happy place. A slight twist on an old commercial. We used to make up stuff like this when we were kids. Eric

Neither. Do you think you spend too much time at TPR?

I like mine. It's almost as cool as my first name! Would you eat spaghetti with chili on it instead of regular sauce?

Scary South Africa Amusement Park Accident!

I saw a bunch of empty seats just after the thing fell and thought, "Did people fall out?" But I'm guessing that the ride wasn't full to begin with. Eric -

I stuck my finger in an electrical outlet one time. Some good vibrations, then a puff of black smoke up the wall. I was OK, and the outlet survived as well. Strangely, I didn't get in any trouble for that. Eric -
^^ Pfft. Idiot. Doesn't he know they sell it at Wal-Mart? Eric
-
Yep. But I haven't done it in about 15 years. Do you have/want kids?

^ I made that sound once, but it wasn't pee... Eric

^ I still think SFMM ought to do what Universal does and let people have a locker for free for, say, 90 minutes. That won't make them any money, but such a convenience would be a hit with guests. About putting in the same rides, keep in mind that Six Flags parks tend to reach out to the local market. There is nothing like Tony Hawk's Big Spin anywhere in Southern California, unless you count Sierra Sidewinder at Knott's. This is why I get frustrated about the whole "clone" thing. So a park hundreds---or thousands---of miles away from another park puts in the same kind of ride? Your average park guest knows nothing about it. Or, if it's a popular ride (like, say, Batman--The Ride), a guest visiting a different park will be pleased that such a good ride is in that park, too---and will ride it anyway. Anyway, I look forward to SFMM's future, whatever they add. Eric

^ Then stop riding Vekomas! As for me, it's time for my lunch, so I'll be off and eatin' in no time. Eric

I'm not sure how congratulating someone on a notable achievement is "kissing their ass." Think about how many other TPR members have had babies, ridden a hard-to-get credit, or anything else, and have gotten a stream of "well dones." Hopefully, Diablo will see this and send you a well deserved NastyGram. Eric

Thanks for the photos of a beautiful park. It just makes me want to go there even more. Looking at the Griffon trains---are they actually wider than the ones on X2 at SFMM? Eric -
^ A big thanks to Wes for removing that apostrophe, if that's what all this is about. Apostrophes in plurals "make me sick." Eric "Spelling and Grammar Nazi of the Internet" L.
