  1. "In fact I have yet to see a single use of external LEDs on any car that didn't make my eyes bleed." (Cameron) No offense, but I hope you're not referring to the newer taillights and increasingly common front blinkers that use LEDs. To me, that's a great idea. Why are we still using incandescent light bulbs (an 19th Century technology) in modern cars? LEDs last almost forever, they come in many colors, they're energy efficent, and, because they light faster than incandescent bulbs, may be safer. That's also why traffic lights are going that route. Eric
  2. Not a bit. In fact, sometimes I get a little airtime. Do you like the U.S. State Quarters?
  3. Kash, Karry, Kollapse under the weight of it all. How did they develop Vicks Vapor Rub?
  4. Hancock...wasn't that an old brand of gasoline? Eric
  5. No, not really. I'm more of a spring or fall person. Do you own a tool to clean your ears? (Believe it or not, I do.)
  6. ^^ A Revel, of course. Walt Whitman died at his neighborhood park when his shopping cart got away from him and plunged down a ravine. Why are they called "silverfish" when they're obviously insects?
  7. ^ In that first picture, it looks like a magnified face of a squirrel looking in if you look at it just right. Eric
  8. No, but I used to play it in the arcades back in the '80s. Do you order the largest size drink when you go out?
  9. ^ Named himself after a couple of Swiss engineers. < Named after one of Mom's high school boyfriends. V Named after where the Short Bus parks!
  10. Had to have been someone from Chick-Fil-A. See, they saw the potential in those ovally things. They start off like that, then grow into full size chickens that they can make two things out of---sammiches, and big money! Who thought of taking cola nuts and making a drink out of them?
  11. ^ For a kid as young as you are, you write very well. If only a few others would follow your example... And, welcome to TPR. Eric
  12. Interesting thing, too. During the last few years, even though I've had the Xtreme Play Pass, the thought of going out to SFMM just didn't register. Now, with everything they're doing, I find myself thinking about taking a trip over there. The downside is that gas is so expensive, so that's usually the deciding factor. It is nice to see Jay and/or Neal walking through the park, and they always greet me with a handshake and ask how my day is going. Where was Del Holland? Perhaps better...who was Del Holland? Nowhere to be found except on media days, and even then he'd make his appearance, a quick speech, a few pictures, then vanish into...wherever. Not Jay. He's turning the place around and it isn't an act. But keep in mind that, like a huge ship out on the ocean, you don't just crank the wheel and turn it around in 50 feet. It takes miles. And it'll take awhile for SFMM to get back to where it's supposed to be. The park is cleaner for sure. And Jay said that they plan to recapture the coaster title, so for us coaster nuts, that's good news. It just won't happen in a year or two. Eric
  13. "Click on the link in the article and you can see SCBB was listed as well." (TheMenefee) Interesting...I got the same page pictured in your post, but without any text below it. I was sent directly to the Sherman's Travel page, but no links...weird. Eric
  14. Sorry for a double post, but there was an interesting twist in this issue. We have XP Pro here at home, and I'm the admin. Each of us has an account, and there's an Admin account that only I can access. When I'm logged in there, I can get to my page without a hitch. Strange. But at least I have a way to get there. Obviously there's a problem with my own account. Eric
  15. This video was particularly creepy. Japan is pretty...WTF?!? already---at least going by what we've seen in TPR updates from there. Eric
  16. "I have to take a dump but I'm at my girlfriend's house, and I can't take a man-sized dump on her frilly little toilet!" (Bolliger&Mabillard) Y'know, my bathroom is pink (and the girls' is blue---go figure). So if I can do that in a pink bathroom, you can at your girlfriend's house. Eric
  17. Sure...I spend the better part of my day doing that... Do you have a MySpace page?
  18. ^ The ride cycle on Deja Vu is a minute-and-a-half, so I don't see how they could do two-minute dispatches. As for X2, are the restraints still sticking? They were on June 1, which is why Jay said that dispatch times are still long. Even on that day, they were getting trains out every three minutes, which is quite an improvement over the old ones. My last few rides on Batman have been pretty good, too, though the the thought of rattling wheels, er, rattles me. Remember that Train 2 is the new one from B&M, and it does run noticeably better. Eric
  19. ^ The "interwho" is Al Gore's alter ego. I just know it is. It has to be... Eric
  20. Sometimes around our area, they give gift certificates for free pies or other such things for donating blood. I used to donate on a regular basis, but stopped when I had a brief period of being anemic and somewhat weak, and when I had to start using insulin. They said I can still donate, but for right now I'm going to hold off. Over the years, I've donated about 65 pints. Somewhere I have my eight-gallon pin. But for those of you who haven't done so, this is a great way of providing community service because so much blood is needed. You can also donate blood to your own "bank" in case you're going to have surgery, or you can designate your donation specifically to someone you know who will need it. And, yes, you do get cookies and juice afterward. Eric
  21. ^ Not an Asian. < Married to an Asian. V Married to the mob!
  22. No, and I haven't even seen them in the stores. Do you collect caps/flaps from Coke products and enter the codes for Coke Rewards points? Eric
  23. Update: Diana can get into her page here at home, but I still can't. But I did get to it at work today. Interesting. What she does is type "myspace.com/XXXXXXX" (the Xs represent the URL for your home page). I tried that and it still took forever. So, whatever. Guess I'll just look at it at work till I can figure out what's wrong. Eric
  24. I have the best kind of blood---red! Eric "O+" L.
  25. Nothing else left to do, huh? You mean you didn't want to take the Japanese Studio Tour (top of sign)? Anyway, nice TR. It's been about three years since I was last at USH. Time to go back and try the Simpsons Ride. Eric
