  1. I always thought Mr. Six was kind of silly, but I have to admit that he's a unique character that fits in with the Six Flags brand. Honestly, I'm not sure where they got the idea that he "scares little children." Eric
  2. Nice TR. One of these days I'll have to go see the Alamo. That way, I'll remember it. As for the Ripley's place, it looks like more of a ripoff. Eric
  3. ^ YouTube is your friend... But...to save ya some time, try this... High Roller POV. Eric
  4. "I'm dying to see what X2 is like with the new trains and FIRE!" (stuartnz) Sorry for a near-double post, but even as one who pretty much swore off the original X because of having been beaten up by it, I do admit that I'll ride X2. It isn't THAT much smoother than X, but it is better, and the fire effect at night is really cool in my opinion. I just wonder what happened to the fog at the bottom of the raven turns? Eric
  5. "High Roller (Stratosphere Vegas)" (Crazy_Behemoth_Lady_Jess) I rode that one time. The view was great up there, but as for the ride itself...FAIL! Eric
  6. Yeah, like Rox said, I don't know how I missed this TR. This looked like a cool place to visit. And me being the railfan that I am, would have enjoyed seeing the turntable. Were there any trains running on that track that you could see, or was that whole thing just abandoned? Eric
  7. Nice report, Dave. I miss WDW during October. Especially the International Food and Wine Festival. My guess is that it was going on while you were there? Eric
  8. ^ Thanks for the update. I haven't checked on this ride on RCDB for awhile. Eric
  9. "If you know what coaster this is and where it currently is operating, email Dan the answer!" It was the Mountain Express, and it's currently operating somewhere in Mexico. And I don't need to e-mail Dan because...well, I don't. I rode that many times and sometimes still think something like that would make a nice little ride at the park because they're a lot of fun. It'll never happen, of course. Nice to see Terminator go vertical. I actually gave some thought to heading out to SFMM today, but had some things to do here at home. Maybe next weekend when there's more to see! Eric
  10. "Having half your rides closed for 'lack of Staffing,' yet all of your games and merchandise venues are wide open." (Bolliger&Mabillard) Remember, rides and merchandise bring in $$$. Operating rides costs the park $$$ to staff. Eric
  11. Honestly, I have nothing against Johnny Rocket's, and I agree that the food there is a cut or five above other food outlets at the park. And I'll admit that I'll usually choose to eat there before somewhere else. I guess I'd just like to have a bit of variety. Eric
  12. ^ About that last one...WHAT?!?!12?? So now SFMM will now have three JR locations? That makes no sense whatsoever. Will the Cold Stone Limited location close or will there be two Cold Stones as well? It'd be nice to keep that Surfside Grill location in Cyclone Bay/Terminator Alley/whatever they'll call it and serve good old chili dogs, if for no other reason than to offer a little variety foodwise. Eric
  13. As an Xtreme Pass holder, I'm not too concerned about the price of the Q-Bot. After all, we paid nothing to park or get in, so what's wrong with paying a few bucks to cut our waiting time? The park does have to make a little money... Eric
  14. I didn't realize that DeLoreans were made in Northern Ireland, so I learned something new. This was a great trip report! Eric
  15. "OMG! We need to see if we can get this guy to come tell jokes on the bus during the TPR Texas trip!" (Robb) He'll never see what he's getting himself into... Eric
  16. "I shoot a Canon Rebel XTi." (Sgt. Fox) That's a good camera, and the same model I'm considering when I can afford a D-SLR. Eric
  17. Great job, Colin! I can't run to save my life. However, I did get so ticked off one night that I left the house at 11:30pm and walked till 6:30am (19 miles!). But that's another story... Eric
  18. That English keyboard is sounding more and more...strange... I, too, would like to see a layout of it. Eric
  19. Pardon my lack of photographic knowledge, but does HDR stand for High Definition Resolution? If not, I'm lost... Anyway, very nice shots, and I liked the large, bold type for the captions. Makes it a bit easier to see. And this report makes me want to go back to WDW soon. Eric
  20. ^^ Scary thing is that I took a look at that website for Fuji-Q and noticed that some of the coasters don't let you ride if you're over 54 years old! That's only five years away for me...I'd better get there FAST! Eric
  21. Diana's school registration and various fees: $266. Eric
  22. ^ That's where our "#" symbol is. So where's yours? Eric
  23. Looks like a delicious soup, Chuck. Only I'd leave out the mushrooms due to the fact that I despise them. They may be fungi, but they're not "fun guys." Eric
  24. ^ The one on the left wearing a colorful bikini top---that's you? Eric
  25. My guess is that a tour of Terminator's construction site will be included at this event. That's something I'm really looking forward to if that's the case. I also wonder if they'll at least give a hint as to what 2010 will bring? If I had to guess, I'd say something smallish, but that'd be fine because the park could use something like that. Eric
