  1. I stopped by the SFMM website to check park hours for the weekend, and noticed that they have something called "Under Funstruction" regarding Terminator. It looked interesting, so I thought I'd share it with all of you. Check it out here. Eric
  2. I don't wish any ill will on the company that let me go. It's business. But I will never understand why they can hire expensive managers and let go of those who actually do the work. What's left to manage when there aren't any workers left? I like to say that the higher you go, the less oxygen there is, if you know what I mean... Eric
  3. I just registered as well. So I'll see y'all there, too! Eric
  4. ^ I"ve said it here a few times, but because of the way I drive, I've gotten almost 32 mpg overall in the CR-V. Not bad for a vehicle rated at 22 mpg overall by the EPA. (My usual average is about 25-27. The 30-32 comes after a long highway trip.) Eric
  5. I have both Air Supply's Greatest Hits and Barry Manilow's as well. Eric
  6. ^ I'm right with you. I got the same news last week on my way home by means of a phone call, if you can believe that. Eric
  7. ^ Preciseamently why I own a Honda. Easy to take care of, fun to drive, incredibly reliable. Nuff said. Eric
  8. ^ German. < Scotch/Irish. V Extraterrestrial!
  9. Since Robb was good enough to answer a question I had, I guess I'd better sign up! Eric
  10. ^ Could that mean we're getting Flashback back? It would be nice if the park got a shiny new coaster from The Company That They Were Never Supposed to Work With Ever Again. We'll see. Eric
  11. Yeah, tailgating is one of my biggest peeves, too. And they do nothing about it, either. My rant today is that I cut my right index finger on a can of Rockstar. I poured what was left of it out, then went to crush it as I always do. Unfortunately, when I picked it up, part of the jagged edge sliced my finger right next to the nail. It's bled quite a bit. Don't worry---I used alcohol and washed it out, so I don't worry about it getting infected or anything. Good thing I write left handed. But I'll be OK. Eric
  12. ^ To my knowledge, the single rider line is still at Deja Vu. But it's been closed for awhile, so I haven't had a chance to ride it. I'd like to see single rider lines on other coasters as well. Eric
  13. You can buy the pass online (I believe), but you'll have to get it processed at the park. Eric
  14. I was at our insurance office today and found out that our rate will go down another 15% or so if Diana does well in school. Eric
  15. ^ Yes, you get the same coupon book whether you get the regular season pass or the Xtreme Play Pass. Eric
  16. ^ It would have been funny if your bag-o-crap actually had some sliced bread inside! I was able to attend Media Day for X2, so I'm hoping to be there for Terminator. Once it opens, I expect long lines for a long time. Eric
  17. Two days ago, nice and sunny like summer. Today, rain---and lots of it. Eric
  18. Like my New Year's Day visit, I ended my Super Bowl Sunday visit with a ride on X2 after only a 30-minute wait! Eric
  19. After watching the video from the TPR Asia trip, a ride something like Kawasemi at the Tobu Park Zoo would be nice. Won't count on it, but it would be a good fit for the park. Eric
  20. I just got back from Ventura. Then I ate M&Ms. Eric
  21. ^ That's a good question. Normally I sit toward the front for a less rough ride, but I've been hammered even sitting there. I'd say...flip a coin... Eric
  22. This thread has gotten as mysterious as the track! Eric
  23. I picked up my book on Sunday. Here's what's in the 2009 book as Free Friend admissions go... Free Friend Admission Weekdays in June. Free Friend Admission on Select Sundays (3/29, 4/26, 7/26, 9/27, 11/29, 12/27). Free Mother's or Father's Day Admission. Free Friend Admission Weekdays in August. $9.99 Friend Admission. $25 Admission January-March 2009. $25 Admission April-June 2009. $25 Admission July-August 2009. $25 Admission September-December 2009. $14.99 "Friend Day" Admission on September 11, 2009 (that's a Friday, and the park will be open 4pm-10pm). Bring a friend to any another Six Flags park for half price. Everything else is Hurricane Harbor discounts, food, games, etc. Hope that helps. I miss the Free Friend coupon that was good on any day during the year, as well as the one free parking pass. (I don't need the free parking pass, but it's a nice perk for those with the regular season pass.) Eric
  24. As I've said, I was also at SFMM on Super Bowl Sunday. The tower was closed due to wind, so I figured that X2 would have its fire effect turned off. Not so---it erupted just fine as we passed it. But as Carnage said, wind direction can also have a bearing on whether something is open or closed. Eric
  25. Are there any Psyclone signs still up? There was a very obvious one near Johnny Rockets throughout most of 2008... Eric
