  1. I really enjoy these aerial photos of parks. You have to wonder, though, whatever made them put a park out in the middle of nowhere? Eric
  2. How come Elissa's name is the only one that gets to turn red when you put the cursor over it on the main forum page? Eric
  3. Many parks are priced high, but discounts are available online or at local stores. Except for Disneyland/DCA, discounts are all over the place. Many employers' HR departments offer them, too, so check with parents or friends. But it sounds like you had a good time. I'd like to go back and see the place; it's been about eight years since I was last there. Eric
  4. I post in all these game threads too much. Can you work on your computer; that is, install or remove its components?
  5. "Has Ghostrider really gotten that rough?" (rcroques) It was last year, however, I've heard that its latest rehab really smoothed it out. Time to go ride it again. I'll make sure I have a chiropractor appointment lined up afterward... Eric
  6. After reading this TR, I realized something: I need me some Florida... Eric
  7. "...one time I yelled out, 'Someone get me a spinal surgeon' during the final brake run on Ghostrider." (Mechanic) Why'd you wait till the end? When I ride that, I'd be calling for help on the first drop! Eric
  8. "The Hat [in] CA" (ChrisZer0) There's one in Simi Valley, and I've been known to stop there on my way to SFMM. I don't care much for pastrami (which is what they're famous for), but they do make a good chili cheese dog. Eric
  9. "Is there a layout released yet?" (Thelegendarymatthew) I have yet to see an "official" layout, and that's something I've been looking for myself. However, if you look carefully at the most recent aerial photos taken from the Sky Tower, you can pretty much make it out. At this point I can't tell if the trains go right onto the lift from the station or if they curve around to it, but once off the lift, the track curves to the left and dives under the lift structure itself. Next, it goes up into the so-called "deadman turn," taking the little hop, then turning left toward the turn leading into the first drop, right after the lift. From there, it appears that it go around that turn, straighten out and do the station fly-through, then head out toward the north end of the ride and do the big right-hand circle, followed by the tight left-hand one onto the final brake. Did that help visualize things a bit? Eric
  10. If this was Cedar Fair, there'd be all kinds of places for Oscar the Grouch to hide in... Eric
  11. Sometimes, Taco Bell is referred to as "Taco Smell," "Taco Hell," etc. Fitting if you ask me. Eric
  12. Much more than it does to "carry tales." Why are hearts shaped the way they are?
  13. There's a Claim Jumper right across the street from Knott's, though I have yet to eat there or at any CJ restaurant. Eric
  14. This was a great Photo TR. For some reason, I've always been intrigued by the city of Chicago, and have yet to ever go there. I have a friend who grew up in this area and has told me many stories about it. This city is on my list of places to visit. Eric
  15. ^ I can't tell you the last time I ate at Taco Bell---and there's one two blocks from me. Del Taco beats TB by a mile, and it's worth driving across town for it. Eric
  16. Ten years? No. But someday... Do you make your own address labels for Christmas cards?
  17. ^ Needs to go to the beach with women friends. < Knows some gorgeous women. V Knows some Amazon women!
  18. Because when you turn 65, everything goes slow! If they can have "canned air" (to clean keyboards), why don't they have canned water to wash down kitchen counters?
  19. ^^ GCII's Millennium Flyers weren't necessarily inspired by this particular coaster, but by the single seat articulated cars made popular by Prior and Church. I'd really like to see a set of MFs on the San Diego Giant Dipper, as it once ran trains like this. I'm going to work on putting a trip together to go up and ride this. There've been too many positive comments about it not to. Besides, as I mentioned, I have family near there! Eric
  20. "Wow they ARE working quickly on the lift hill." (coasterking2981) Just trying to "lift" our spirits! Eric
  21. "I don't do anything. I don't even put my hands up. You'd think I was riding the bus." (Electerik) "I don't shout out anything. I just sit and enjoy the ride." (sfmmrules) Those responses pretty much sum me up. I just enjoy the wind in my face and a fun ride. Eric
  22. I'm not following you---I'm just going the same way... Eric
  23. ^ You're right. Terminator is about as long from north to south as Psyclone, but it does look much wider. One thing I think will be interesting is going down the first drop and diving into the structure under the lift. At least that's what it appears to do... Eric
  24. I have a nephew who lives in Vancouver, so I have an excuse to go up there. Is this ride open only during the summer? Eric
  25. The sign looks nice, but I can't help to wonder why it says "Kings Island" on it. Why would you need the name of the park on the sign? Eric
