  1. The only concern I have for people pointing out troublemakers is that those troublemakers could make things bad for the ones who told on them if they know who they were. Having as many visible security officers as possible is a good deterrent to trouble. Eric
  2. In that Z-Force/Flashback picture, I noticed that the cars appear to have two rows of two riders each (of course anyone who rode knows that the each car sat four riders in one row). Also, the final upward helix is missing. This was, of course, a promotional picture, so there will be differences, but from what I can see, the overall layout is pretty close. Just as a reference for you, gavt1976, the track made a 180-degree left turn right out of the station and took a little dip to engage the lift track. And as I mentioned, there was a 540-degree upward, left-hand helix at the end before the last turn back into the station. I hope that helps a bit. Eric
  3. ^ Google "gout" and you'll learn everything you want! Great to hear about the weight loss, Ed! Definitely a start in the right direction. As others have said, keep us posted! Eric
  4. ^ Hope you have fun. I'd like to take a cruise sometime. But today's slice of Happiness Pie is that I have a new job starting on Monday. Kinda far (50 miles), but it's not the first time I've gone that far to work, and it looks like an interesting position. Eric
  5. ^ I shirt I would never wear from a place where I'll never eat. Eric
  6. ^ Hear about what...? Eric
  7. ^ Needs to stop hanging out in lockers. < Needs to stop sleeping in late on weekends. V Needs to stop hitting on old ladies!
  8. So he'll think it's made from those sweet grape tomatoes. When we make a call, why do they make us dial a "1" before the area code on our land lines, but not on our cell phones?
  9. ^ I liked that post. As with any such group, the more negative attention they bring onto themselves, the more likely they'll have to find somewhere else to go because sooner or later, management/security will catch up. And that's a good thing for SFMM because it will just drive the park even closer to the family friendly place that it should be. Eric
  10. Sometimes I think people should speak up and gave the potheads a little unwanted attention. They're sort of like cockroaches when you turn on the lights...they don't want to be discovered, so they stop or leave. Eric
  11. Actually, they can, but their flights are very short, mostly in a downward motion, and conclude with a violent impact. We file Form 1040 for our taxes...what happened to Forms 1 through 1039?
  12. "Pot doesn't just happen at SFMM." (Sir Clinksalot) It sure used to. Certain areas of the park seemed to attract those who were likely to engage in consuming that substance... Eric
  13. ^ Hmmm...I never thought about the train storage area, but now I recall ROAR! at SFDK having something like that just before re-entering the station. Your concept seems perfectly valid to me, especially the way you've shown the trains getting from the station to the lift, as well as the fly through track. Exactly four weeks from today. I hope I can be there. Eric
  14. That's food they sell? Why do the straws at McDonald's have red and yellow stripes?
  15. I have a Canon A720IS. Nice little camera; it's an 8 MP and the results are nice. When I get some money together, I'm likely to get a Rebel Xti. You can't go wrong with a Canon. Eric
  16. Today when I parked at the Metro station, I didn't notice the sign that directed motorists to not park in that area unless they had a permit. No permit = $40 parking ticket when I got home from San Diego. Eric
  17. ^ Witnessed an act of assault and fruitery. < Witnessed an act of stupidus maximus earlier. V Committed an act of stupidus maximus earlier!
  18. You must have been a Japanese traffic light in a previous life. Why did Amtrak name some of their railcars after California cities?
  19. In my 38 years of going to Magic Mountain, I have never noticed that wrench up there. Next time, I'll be on the lookout. Eric
  20. It's like the name "Greg." I know more people who spell that with two Gs on the end of it, as in "Gregg." Maybe for fun I should spell my name as "Ericc" and see what people think. Eric
  21. ^ That reminds me of ground beef. Would you/should you eat beef from the ground? Eric
  22. "Sadly Jeff Johnson won't be able to partake of this one." What, is he pregnant? Eric
  23. ^ Actually, a fork would work better. A faster death. I'll just wait to see this in ACE News...three months after it opens! Eric
  24. This topic also serves as a reminder that I have not ever done a Photo TR and I've been here for over four years. I must do one---even if it's some sort of random TR. Eric
  25. "This thread makes me want to stab my eyes out with a plastic, caramel dipped spork." (Hercules) Yeah, I feel that way sometimes, too. Notice that my posts here aren't exactly serious. It's just a coaster... Eric
