  1. I still say the pre-show buildings are pre-fabbed and the stuff going inside will be easy to set up. There's plenty of room in the back of the ride (as we saw on the tour at WCB), so getting everything into the area shouldn't be much of a problem. Even if the buildings aren't pre-fabbed, the materials can still be brought in and assembled. Surely they've worked this stuff out. Eric
  2. ^ I don't think it'll be as hidden as you think. Psyclone's entry/exit was hidden because of where it was, and when Deja Vu arrived, it blocked Psyclone even more---so much so that they had to remodel the entrance to that. Once that fence comes down, it'll be easy to find Terminator's entrance. Eric
  3. If Diana had been born on her original due date, she'd be celebrating her 19th birthday today instead of last Friday. Eric
  4. What about these?: 1. CoonTums. 2. New Hamsterdam. 3. Spike. 4. Road Warrior. Eric (not a choice)
  5. Even though the track appears to be done, it may not be ready for trains just yet. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean they're not onsite somewhere, but I'm guessing it'll be at least a week before we see any sign of them. Eric
  6. Very nice TR. Looks like a great place you live in, there! One day I'll have to stop in. We don't need any earthquake rides here in California...we get the real thing often enough... Eric
  7. ^^ My experience with Memorial Day weekend is that Memorial Day itself will be the least crowded. Same with Labor Day and July 4 (when it falls on a Monday). This is just a theory, but generally, the day before the holiday is more crowded because most people don't have to get up early or travel home the next day, with it being a holiday. But right on the holiday itself, many people won't stay at the park because they have to get up for work, school, etc., or get on the road to go home before traffic becomes a nightmare. If it is crowded in the park on the holiday, it will probably clear out a few hours before closing, giving you some time to get on some rides with shorter lines. Perhaps to play it safe, get the Q-Bot. It might be well worth it. Eric
  8. It's been quite a few years since I was last at Belmont Park. The Giant Dipper is a lot of fun, but I think if they replaced those Morgan trains with some new Millennium Flyers, it would be a great improvement. Not sure why you ended your TR with pictures of Journey to Nowhere at SeaWorld, but...whatever... Eric
  9. ^ My count is, too, except put a "B.C." after it. Eric
  10. I've noticed that the stations for GCII coasters all seem to have the same beam structure. Even ROAR! up north is like this. But the station in my dream (see above) wasn't. Nice to see this ride coming together so nicely. I'm sure we'll be seeing it testing soon. Eric
  11. ^ SFMM is getting crowded because it's close and because they really do offer a good time. I was also there yesterday (notice my little report from yesterday). Even after 6pm, the lines were still fairly long depending on which ride you wanted to ride. Tatsu was running both stations (I didn't ride because the queue was full); X2 was closed; Viper and Revolution were busy; Goliath was busy, but I rode anyway. Terminator was closed because of uncompletedness (and I had a dream about it---see that thread); Colossus' queue was even full; and Scream had a line but shut down later on. Gold Rusher wasn't bad and two-train operation helped; Ninja's line was just past the top of the stairs going down into the station; Batman was pretty busy so I skipped it. Riddler's line wasn't bad, and I skipped Deja Vu because I just didn't feel like waiting. I don't know how long its line was, but I'd guess at least 45 minutes because it tends to get that way. Eric
  12. Cottage cheese. Where do they keep the boxes that coaster cars came in?
  13. "I love the red on Arrow's Viper (SFMM). The color makes the coaster look so powerful, yet so gentle." (astroworldfan1) Honestly, while Viper does look nice in red, I liked its original deep orange better. You can never go wrong with red on any steel coaster. It's just a powerful color. To me, primary and secondary colors look best, as well as black, white, and gray. Eric
  14. I'm not sure if this is within topic, being that it was a dream I had last night, so if any TPR staff wants to move/edit/delete as needed, feel free. In this dream, I was at SFMM and for some reason I got to go inside the Terminator station before the ride opened to the public. It seemed like it was deep inside a building (like, say, Space Mountain or Indiana Jones). The trains were mostly mauve, brown, and some orange in color. Some guy was walking alongside and pushing one along the loading area. There was a "54" written on the last car, and that car had an extra tall box like thing on the back. Each seat had tall headrests (because of the sound system), and the trains seemed like they were 20 or 30 cars long. In one part, I got in the front seat with some lady (can't remember who, but she was a celebrity). Supposedly, we rode the ride, yet I can't remember any of the ride even though I've figured out the layout. (I just don't remember going through any of it.) When we got back I was telling people how great the ride was. Then I woke up. Strange dream, but quite vivid. And very strange that I had a coaster dream since it's been forever since my last one. Eric
  15. "KidTums and Russell just chilling on the balcony having a cigar." So where's Kristen's cigar? Eric
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that to remove a valleyed train, they actually cut out a section of the track, remove the cars one by one, then reweld the track. Awfully tedious, and over time the multiple times the track has been cut would weaken it---even if cut at the same spot. Seems like it would be easier to have a removable section in areas where valleying occurs on a regular basis. That way it's a disassemble/reassemble process. Eric
  17. ^ Superman was closed. I never heard one car run; of course, how can you miss that anywhere in the park? Eric
  18. I'm being a technical editor again for these rants: When people put the $ sign after the dollar amount (like "10$." It goes before it, as in "$10.") When people write "ect." instead of "etc." That stands for et cetera, a Latin phrase for "and so on." Nit picky to be sure, and there may well be more ahead, but please know that all I want to do is to turn a couple of bad habits around for some of you. It could mean the difference between getting a job in the future---or not... Eric
  19. It was windy, but not too bad. My guess is that's why the Sky Tower was closed, and one person said the wind is what closed X2 as well. Eric
  20. It's an evil plot between doctors and food manufacturers. The more tasty---yet bad---food you eat, the more times you'll have to visit the doctor. I went to SFMM earlier...why was X2 closed?
  21. ^ Finally figured out that you can meet girls at a theme park. < Has had some nice times with young ladies at theme parks. V Has had some run-ins with security at theme parks!
  22. Took a quick run out to SFMM for the evening. Rode in order: Ninja (20-minute wait, two-train operation) Gold Rusher (five-minute wait, two-train operation) Goliath (45-minute wait, three-train operation) Riddler's Revenge (15-minute wait, two-train operation) X2 was closed; so was the Sky Tower. Terminator is looking nice. I peeked into the hole in the fence right at the entrance and noticed some black metal cage-looking thing just past the bridge. Couldn't tell what it was, but thought it might be the first part of the pre-show. Made for a nice evening. I ran into Jahan and talked to him for a few minutes. Eric
  23. ^ You'll recover from the test and bring that C+ up to an A. I'm going shooting tomorrow with a couple of buddies. Just target practice, though, but still some good fun. Eric
  24. ^^ You'll get some great shots with that kind of cannon. Eric
  25. ^ Leads could use a cell phone, but someone might mistake them for a ride op! Seriously, these are the things that should be brought up. I would think that better communication between leads would help to "police" the park better. Eric
