  1. I would imagine that it'd be more practical to have an Intamin Giga... They would be much more compact than a B&M.
  2. ^The waterpark will take over the entire park, and within the next five years every coaster will be converted into an Aquatrax.
  3. Here's the latest rumor from Screamscape: While RS would be the coaster I'd personally miss the least, it's always sad to see a one-of-a-kind coaster disappear. Maybe it could be relocated to a smaller park? Talk amongst yourselves.
  4. If Cedar Point wills it, it shall be so.
  5. As impossible as it would be, I would love to see an Intamin Giga sort of in the style of Hades... little islands of coaster connected by underground tunnels. Imagine screaming down a 300-foot, 85-degree hill into a tunnel!
  6. Will it be a... giga? Anyways, I'm surpised Knott's is getting a new attraction and I'm excited to see what it will be. Let the insane speculation begin.
  7. I'm trying to make out the layout after the MCBR, and it looks like it's just helix > bunny hop > wide turn > brakes. I hope that's not the case, as I would love to see another slow roll or inline twist shoved in there. I guess we'll find out in two hours
  8. I didn't realize Wingriders had such a lukewarm reception. I really liked X-Flight and would love if it were closer to home. This is shaping up to be the Riddler's Revenge of Wingriders!
  9. Isn't Ozark Wildcat already too rotted away to be saved? It's a shame we've lost a GCI already.
  10. I was kind of hoping for an inline twist too. That was one of the best parts of X-Flight, I thought. Still, everything else on this ride looks completely kickass. Especially the airtime hill. Plus, who knows what happens after the MCBR. I certainly didn't. I literally let out a squeal of delight when I saw what it looks like in 3D.
  11. Does Sweden have earth quake standards? Those would be some pretty incompetent engineers if they couldn't figure out how to cram the rides in... no matter what kind of precautions they need to take.
  12. Hydra: The Revenge at Dorney Park has a really odd layout for a floorless. No vertical loop, no pre-drop, and an inclined dive loop? Definitely strange. Also lots of fun, even if it is "forceless".
  13. ^Because its launch uses compressed air rather than LIMs or cables. Basically it's an S&S drop tower turned on its side.
  14. I'm totally in love with that too. I wish more coasters did that.
  15. Cedar Point won't do anything with Sonic because it doesn't have any sponsorship with Sonic. Also because that's a stupid idea and it sucks. Although Wikipedia informs me that the Sonic sponsorship contract in Alton Towers is set to expire in 2013. But even then, Sonic won't come to CP, because that's a stupid idea and it sucks.
  16. I don't know if anyone has said this, but I think they went with a wood coaster, more specifically the hyper-future-crazy of RMC, because then people will go, "Wow, a wood coaster can do *that*???" I feel like if it were a steel coaster all of the elements wouldn't be as impressive. The "primitive" structure and history of wood coasters makes it more impressive when they're twisted like steel.
  17. I've never seen the last one before. I see what you did there, Cedar Point.
  18. That happened to me too! Well, on the third time I rode it; oddly enough it didn't happen my first two rides. Also oddly enough that's never happened on any other ride - not even El Toro. I really hope they don't go with OTSRs. You know that Hershey's gonna be working their ass off in the offseason to improve the restraints as much as possible while keeping them lapbars.
  19. Many pages ago it was said that Hershey does not want to trim the ride, and will instead work on fixing the lapbars.
  20. Outside Bank Turn AKA Guy's Inverted Camel Toe.
  21. ^Perhaps it's part of the animation they've prepared for this ride. It'll pan over to the right and then we'll get to see... something.
  22. Post on Cedar Point's Facebook: Hmmm, I wonder why they emphasized the word "edge"...
  23. Krake at Heide Park. Man, what a fun ride that is. I already can't wait to go back (2014 maybe?)
  24. It makes me angry that Storm Runner is little more than 50 seconds long. Makes the whole thing barely even worth it.
