Phantasialand Discussion Thread
RCT3Bross replied to roeterich's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So this was an interesting week of construction lots happened, most of these pictures are from Purefun: Monday: Cable spotted on the curve after the first launch, interesting little thing to show up. Also notice a gateway in the back, that leaves a hole to a sort of bridge element. Here's a close up on that gateway. Tuesday no photo's I could find. Wednesday: Wooden sides for River Quest lift tower. Interesting was expecting some rock work here and there. Interesting looking building comes here, also the track goes through it. Also a nice little offset on the bridge that goes almost throughout the center of the construction site and lowers in 2 steps. (look at the air photo above) Also an empty footer, for the second coaster rumor. Thursday: It seems that the square holes in the tunnel floor are indeed for footers, and again I believe the second coaster, construction can't go fast enough. Wood on the back of the Lift structure of River Quest. River Quest entrance area is also getting a new coat of paint a slightly darker more in tone with Taron rock work. Removing what seems to be the some of the last bits of bubble wrap. Friday: More preparation of rock theming. Highlighted parts: The top is the River Quest wall facing Taron, they're adding a pink base coat and paint a white color over it. I don't understand the door being Highlighted, and last we have the bottom where they're working on the trench of the second coaster. tunnel exit being themed. Saturday: Panting the white around the supports to match the fake wood. Roof work on the station. Extending the rock wall at the side of the park to wards the side of the station. Working on some theming. Another chimney so it seems. Just another one, they really take this upgrade serious. Love that far left panel, now imagen them all like that going to look great. Yes wood on this side too. Also the footers inside the water around River Quest. Source for all pictures and a lot more. They're really working hard, just love it how it comes to be. -

Are foreigners allowed to sign? Because although I believe I have any say in another country I like to support this project. -

Caught me at surprise when I saw it. Not a fan of the concept but hey if it fits the overall coaster who knows my opinion might change. -

So I guess my plans for a 2016 visit are of the table if a new coaster comes in 2017. But it's good news this park is getting a new coaster, gets me more exited to go to this park one day. -
The Off-Season Survival Thread
RCT3Bross replied to ernierocker's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have the Efteling wich is open year round so I have that going for me wich is nice. For the rest my Off-Season is usually is filled watching construction picturers off the coasters for the next season, and with the new Star Wars movie coming up I picked up my old hobby of getting some nice Lego Star Wars sets to display. Also the old sets get some cleaning work and since I plan to do this every year from now on I kind off have more then a month killed in the off season. As for the other time I reflect on last year and look at the next year wich I usually do in December and January so that's another 2 months down. That leaves 2 months a year that are very slow, I can live with that. -
So yesterday I saw the final part of the Hunger Games and I have to say I was entertained but there was zero reason for them to split this up in 2 parts, now we have a boring movie and a midcore movie well this could have been one great movie. I loved the end, it messed with my brain, but it was predictable after a while. Spectre, saw this one a week or 2 3 ago, can't remember that clearly when it was, so it already tells something. The movie felt constantly the same switching from slow to actions scenes so frequent that at the end I was like: "Wait is this the final battle? Why isn't there anything to make it stand out?" Well in the end I toughed no scene stood out really. It made the movie feel longer then it should. Well it's so far a sad ending to my list of 2015 movie's, Just hope that the next one doesn't fall in the same category, I would hate Disney if Star Wars VII doesn't sit well with me.

Phantasialand Discussion Thread
RCT3Bross replied to roeterich's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Yeah that's River Quest down there, they sure know how to do it right. Wanted to come back on this one, and admit something. Just saw better pictures from above (Same as posted here just larger versions, and it they showed clearly that there are square holes in the concrete floor for footers so yeah maybe a second coaster isn't out of play indeed. I also wanted to admit that will all the confusion of this massive construction field my brain might be melting so I kind off lost. I just hope this piece of art and spectacle will be done soon so I can give my brain some time to recover. -

RCT3Bross replied to roeterich's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Okay missed those, but let's be real here, what proof do we have on a second coaster? Some odd placed footers thats it. We have: - No indicated station footer or place. - No supports or track for a second coaster sighted. - Plus realistically shouldn't we have at least seen some telling signs a second coaster is indeed in play? This last one I will give, but the rumor has it that that trench near the red and yellow crane would be used but there aren't any footers so far in it, granted it still they still could be made but I find it odd it isn't. Given the fact that at first I could imagen a second coaster lay-out, but those paths are now closed as well. It starts to get really hard to keep the hope of a second coaster up. I try to look at it realistically and I have very high doubts now. -

Love this picture. Also I'm completely off the idea of a second coaster now, the other footers are for iron work of walkway's and perhaps some future rock work. Was keeping this in mind from the beginning but I'm confident it's true now. But it doesn't take a single thing away form this amazing project. -

IAAPA 2015 Live Coverage!
RCT3Bross replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^ Thanks I was wondering why there was a extendable part but that picture give me an idea on how it works, it's meant as a stair of chairs that the disabled can use to pull himself out of the train. Really happy to see things like this. -

Can someone explain to me about the PTC disability help system? Is it like a slide table or something because I don't really understand it from the pictures. -

They should make the spinning car on Blue Fire a standard thing, heck I would pay to ride it like that once. -

This could be me but that is quite a heavy duty backbone this ride has. I mean look at Mack Mega coasters they just have a small tube about the same size of the rails but this one has quite some thickness to it. Gets me thinking this coaster might be more then just a Mega, or I'm just reading into it to much. -

I start to believe this is all just a hoax, the reason why we weren't allowed to make pictures the wrapping of the track and now of the test vehicle, This isn't just a Intamin coaster it's been an Aquatrax all this time. I'm almost certain they're adding water features during winter break. -

So apparently Symbolica the most expensive ride the park will get to date is going to open in 2017 if internal sources are correct. Source. They also claim we get to see the first construction work early 2016 so that means if the source is true we soon have to get more news. Also the park seems to have learned their lesson, when asked to confirm these "leaks" they said: "No openings year has been appointed as of now." You can translate that to either A: There is really no opening year, or B: they don't want to say to much now, having promised in 2010 the ride would open in 2012 and that went wrong they might be careful to say anything until construction starts. Well for now we can only wait for more news. -

So apparently their new coaster going to be Yellow: Source. Well the color at least pops. What I'm more interested in now is the track design, Mack uses the triple beam for many of their rides including the rumored mega and spinners. -
Worst Announcements for 2016?
RCT3Bross replied to Awesomefaceninja7's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I actually agree with Pulsar at Walibi Belgium missing the mark. Sure it will be a fun ride, but come on third shuttle? If they had more verity I would be exited but I kind of wanted a spinning coaster. In 2012 we where teased with either a reopening for Turbine (Psyké Underground) or a Maurer Spinner. Well we got the reopening so why not make your next coaster the idea you had 3 years ago? It just doesn't feel right to add Pulsar now. I even think that the park is not getting a "real" coaster now, look at sister park Walibi Holland that seems to be a "real" coaster. -

Movie Park Germany Discussion Thread
RCT3Bross replied to apollo210's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Movie park Germany has some interesting plans, They applied for a 45 meter high (147,6 feet) coaster for 2017. This is the second time they announced they planned to make a coaster this big but the last time Parques Reunidos stopped the plan. This time however they seem to finally let it happen. The park has already stated they don't plan on letting anything out right now. This coaster should be build next to the entrance of the park. Source. I have to say I'm happy about this news. Movie park Germany is a really nice park but sometimes I require a little push to go there. Well this is just the right push for me to go in 2017 again. I really hope they pull it off this time. -

At first I thought we wouldn't be seeing this much of the ride being build, but I have to say I'm impressed how they keep bringing contend. Those video's are great.
