  1. hmm. . I'm using Firefox, and can't seem to figure out how to look at the list by parks (someone mentioned they could click "ridden all" in a certain park). I can see the Coaster list just fine, and I can see the list of ridden, AND I can rank fine with drag/drop. but I'm not seeing how to pull up a list that's park specific? (something i think you would have, since the parks in the "coaster" tab don't seem to be alphabetical. so assuming it's something *I'm* doing wrong, not something you've done with the poll. . which looks amazing. EDIT: ok, I figured out if you search for a coaster in a park, you can then click on the park name to bring up that list. as noted this looks amazing, but if not wanting to add a button to the top (next to Coasters, perhaps list "parks").. I think alphabetizing the list would solve the issue for not-fast-learners like me
  2. Wonderful! (hehe.. you don't list "Pipe Scream".. .LOL, CP considers it a coaster per the T-shirts. . . kidding, kidding). tho, you likely do want to list the two kiddies: Woodstock Express & Wilderness Run (which thanks to Coastermania last year, I actually have ridden). looks great thus far tho!
  3. absolutely incredible pictures. I tell myself that SOMEDAY I'll get to see this incredible park with my own eyes. . but if that never happens, at least I've gotten to experience it thru this amazing pictures. great report, thanks for sharing! (and that sushi looks so, so good)
  4. ^^ and I just made myself cry. dammit.. .
  5. the last pic I have of Roxxi before we had to put her down in November. yeah, she knew it was time.. she just wasn't feeling well.
  6. LOL. the skeleton on the ski lift is charming
  7. that is a rather silly attitude, and hey, if you're fine missing out on some spectacular rides, as well as themeing (have you seen CarsLand, or Hollywood Boulevard areas??. . hell, even way back when, the boardwalk area was charming, and the Bug's Life/Honey I shrunk the kids area was amazing to look at. but if you are happy ignoring the park, more power to you. but it's a rather silly attitude.
  8. that parking is free, and admission to the grounds is free, go a long way to even out even higher individual ride prices. they would have to jump to over $5 a coaster, $4 a flat, before I started to worry about cost. . . but I still would go and not really think about it. (heck, I can blow over $50 just playing Fascination and be happy to be at Knoebel's. . so it doesn't impact me negatively if they increase). now.. . was the ski lift running when you were there?
  9. and if the track gets wet, it seems to be down for hours until dry. . tho that is something that tends to be true of most "bobsled" type rides, even if FT is unique in that it's all wood.
  10. looking at the design, it seems to be a narrow car that the seats face out the front -- meaning the row of 4 seats is what rotates within the "outer cart" as it moves around the oval. so likely the lap bar is to secure the folks while the inner car is sliding around within the outer cart?
  11. hmm. . where, ANYWHERE, did I predict Steel Vengeance won't be a hit?. BTW I'm not a "sponsor" either . . never even been to SFoG, but will go for first time this year.
  12. never been to Osaka, but seen pictures of this wheel, and it looks like it would be a very interesting ride. it's been closed for almost a decade, but about to reopen! http://www.cnn.com/travel/article/dotonbori-ferris-wheel-osaka-japan/?iid=ob_lockedrail_bottomlarge
  13. isn't that near the entrance to where the old "Shoot the Rapids" was? when we were there last year for Coastermania!, the guy in the museum in Frontier Town did heavily imply that SOMETHING was going to go there to make use of the empty space. maybe a Rodeo flat or something of that type?
  14. I have a feeling the airtime pops on Twisted Cyclone are going to surprise the hell out of people. just watching the Six Flags animation on it, already has me convinced it's going to be one of my favorites. (oh, I'm looking forward to the "bigger" RMC coasters too: Steel Vengeance, Twisted Timbers, and Wonder Woman. . but I think Twisted Cyclone is gonna be near the top of my coaster list)
  15. so cool.. thanks for this wonderful community, Robb, Elissa, and all who participate. it really does feel like an extended family sometimes here (tho there are LOTS and LOTS of cousins and inlaws whom I've never met yet (or in some cases find sorta annoying) Congrats on the achievement!
  16. while Cobra's Curse was fine (and fun enough), it was our least favorite coaster in BGT. (yeah, we even liked Sand Serpent a little better, but then Nick is a huge wild mouse fan). but has, by far, the best queue. you should ride it just to watch the Hieroglyphics come alive (they seem to do a few different things, so it gives you something to watch if the line is long)
  17. the place across from Cheetah Hunt is, I believe: Serengeti Overlook Restaurant (top level w/ the buffet) Serengeti Overlook Pub (2nd level w/ alcohol & burgers/chicken). we loved the food in that place, and the view (of Cobra's Curse, and the animals) was hard to beat. glad you had such a great trip!
  18. This is an interesting story I saw this morning. and unfortunately, as sign of the times we live in, sadly no more "do not disturb" signs. . . not that they always worked anyway, LOL, as often I'll have that up and Housekeeping knocks anyways. (not at Disney, I mean just in general when I'm traveling) I DO like how Disney is handling it, but sad that it's come to this. http://money.cnn.com/2018/01/03/news/companies/disney-do-not-disturb/index.html
  19. I don't know how I'll *ever* trust you again. you're pointing in a bunch of these pictures!
  20. ^^ wow. . gorgeous w/ the orange sky!
  21. I think so, too. It seems like most of the people I know who have been to Cedar Point love talking about Dragster. isn't most of that talk about how it broke down just as they were about to get on it tho? (i keed, i keed)
  22. Yay. . I got my RHPS +10 points and the food looks absolutely amazing -- I'd expect no less from the other restaurants you've reported on from Disney Springs. absolutely LOVE the boarding pass, travel theme at the entrance. Are they able to carry it thru the whole dining experience? (the atmosphere in the main dining room looks like it loses some of it - tho I really like the "gate" entrances, but if the service is done with Airline Steward mode, I could see it being totally immersive and a really fun evening out). thanks for the report.
  23. I do believe "soft" openings happen all the time, if the rehab is done early. At least from what I can tell -- when we went, we were expecting Big Thunder Mountain to be closed the whole visit, and it opened up on the 3rd day we were there. sending you good vibes, you get an early up.
  24. ^ ouch! good thing you didn't get *really* hurt!
  25. LOL. . that reminds me of years ago. . when I got a new boss, and he was trying to be friendly and get to know his new group. my desktop photo on my computer at the time was Nick and I at the top of Mauna Kea in Hawaii (linked below). and he glances at it when talking to me (in front of the group) and goes: "OH!! is that you and your Dad on a mountain??" LOL. . yeah, I corrected him, "um. . nooooo.. that's my Husband and I in Hawaii". . . and for the next 3 months, he barely interacted with me other than work related stuff (he was SO embarrassed. . and of course, I told Nick about it the moment we got home and we LAUGHED and LAUGHED).
