That'd be great, Matt- I'll write the pre-script/post script to be added on about the actual level, etc. today. I've also got plenty of pics of the park during the 'development' stage to post with it- I'll add those on when I finish the pre/post script- R.D.

Ran the test again- Success: Picture link worked in both the exchange and in the forum- http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=58417 and http://www.themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=1617 R.D. -

Understood- But I think for the first challenge or two, it shouldn't be allowed- not yet at least. I hope to see people using their skills within the original framework of the game to begin with- after that, who knows- I don't think any boundaries are needed- but to get people in I want it to be as fair a game-playing field here as possible. In the future, however, I'll need some guidance on these things: I've yet to use any of them- so I'm not entirely sure as to how they would function with RCT II. It's a go for MOnday then, Robb- I'll post it first thing in the morning- R.D.

OK: Here it is: the final version of the TPR RCT II Challenge, episode 1: Grand Gardens. In order to get this out ASAP- and to get it rolling, I de-installled all of my RCT II subsets- and re-installed just the master disk, to ensure that it's playable on ANY RCT II system. The Rules of TPR Challenge I: 1.) No hacks, CS, CRs or Trainers. End of story. Reason? Simply put: Not all of us use add-ons, not all of us use custom scenery, not all of us use hacks and related- In fact, I've yet to use a hack or trainer for the game. 2.) Anyone caught hacking the game will be banned. Unsportsmanlike conduct is forbidden. 3.) You may submit your park once. 4.) There is no finite solution to the park in order to qualify for the challenge. While this is a basic scenario, if somebody comes up with a good park and does not 'win' the level, they will be considered as part of the pool to vote on. 5.) People who enter their park in the challenge will file their park in this format: TPRC1(username) which would read like this: TPRC1QueerRudie. 6.) All people wishing to be considered for the challenge will have their parks uploaded to the exchange by 12:00AM on 27 march 2011. That gives everybody two weeks to play the game in. 7.) All people who enter should submit pictures taken from the game to the TPR Challenge I thread in the games forum- (I'll post this on Sunday night, and release the game on Monday Morning as a 'sticky'; I figure we'll get some good traffic over that period of time. Matt, could you issue a Facebook statement on Monday- and is it possible to get the thread mounted on the Header page on Monday as well?) 8.) Joint projects will not be allowed for this contest. You must submit your own work to be part of the challenge. 9.) Contenders will be compiled into a voting format on Monday, 28 March 2011, and voting will open that evening. There will be one week to cast votes across ALL members of TPR, not just our Games forum. (I want this to show people that we're serious here, and this challenge is designed to introduce all of our members to the Exchange and Games Forum) 10.) Each member will be asked to post at LEAST four pics of their completed park: An overview shot, A 'most important ride' shot, a 'best use of land shot' and a 'user's choice' shot. These will be posted to the exchange as well as the thread- as well as used during voting. 11.) All people who enter the challenge will recieve a 50 pt. bonus to their Exchange account. (Is this enough? too much? Just about right?) I REALLY want people to play this level- I'm pretty sure we've got some winning ideas out there. 12.) Anybody who fails to adhere to the TOS/Games Forum Etiquitte will be removed from the competition. 13.) Parks to be judged for final contention should have a balance of theming, good ride design, good traffic flow and overall use of land. I'm less concerned with how much money somebody has, but more for how the park looks at the end of the game. Size of wallet doesn't matter here, but what you DO with the scenario does. Here's the file itself- any changes that might be needed beforehand, let me know. The reason I'm trying to get this out quickly is that I'm having surgery on Monday evening, and I'd like to get this out beforehand- waiting too long doesn't suit me here. And it would be a good time, with spring breaks starting up all over- R.D. Grand Gardens- TPR Challenge V.zip The Grand Gardens file- before posting it.

1.) I also recall the 'timed' launches- I think it was more of complaints about running 'empty' trains- which, in turn, resulted in people NOT riding the coaster as they thought it was closed... 2.) For those of you in the LA Basin, now is the time to get -beyond- dirt cheap airfares: Spirit Air has fares starting at $1.00 each way- and that's NOT a joke- You will end up (after taxes, fees etc.) getting it (at it's lowest) around 36.00 r/t. This fare may not be matched by ALL carriers- but take advantage of it- it's hard to find most fares for under $100.00 in that market anymore. 3.) Imploasions: If you REALLY want to get a good seat, start looking at when they might be getting ready to 'bring down the house'- The best reccommendation I can give (Having seen one before- On New Years Eve, no less) is to find the hotel that's not too far away- and book a higher-floor room facing the site: I'd not reccommend being in a hotel NEXT to the site- but since there's not much really around there, the Stratosphere might be your best direction to see it go down- or a higher-up room at Circus Circus for that matter. The Hilton Las Vegas (aka the International) would give some good back-side views, but if they're going to put on a 'show' you'd probably miss it. R.D.

An architect once said "Las Vegas is the place where you have the most expensive, and most luxurious temporary structures in the world" Here, it's right on the button. I went to the Sahara right after the 'renovation' that brought us Speed- and it was STILL a dump. Speed made the trip very worthwhile- as it's a great little coaster- not the BEST coaster, but you get the idea. I always enjoyed it's lack of lines for the most part- and that it was one of the cheapest thrills on the strip (Far cheaper than me dumping money in the slots- that's for sure.) However, the Sahara is from another era. In a place where you measure the lifespan of a building in 30 year segments, it was well-overdue. I'll hope for the best for Speed- but sadly, I don't see it being around in another park. R.D.

The sheer volume of muck, debris and mud is astonishing all over- I'm seeing hte pictures of the waves rolling across the northern parts of Japan- and it's quite shocking all over. I hope and pray for the saftey of those in Japan. R.D. -

Done- the function works very well- and it does make sure you list what you're uploading (Track, park, etc) and game (RCT II, etc.) I did see where it tried to imbed a picture of the 'park' I uploaded- but it simply wrote out the code, and did not post the picture as (I think) was intended. R.D. -

My 'five' would be: #1: Loch Ness Monster (BGW) #2: StarPort 75 (WDW-MK) #3: Crystal Beach Cyclone (Crystal Beach, ONT, CA) #4: I-305 (KD, Doswell, VA) #5: Rebel Yell (original 1977 configuration, KD, Doswell, VA) My park: Classic Gardens- R.D. -
Announcing a NEW feature of the exchange: You can now upload SCENARIOS to the exchange without zipping them first! Think you can stump somebody on a scenario? Want to see just how hard you CAN make it? UPLOAD IT WHOLE TO THE EXCHANGE! No messes, no fusses, nothing more than 'Upload file' to the Exchange- and show it off in a thread! R.D. Games Forum MOD

Yup for #2- Done. We can now upload SC6 (Scenarios) directly to the exchange- As for #1- NM. It doesn't make sense anymore as it's a redundant thought. (Been a long day here) R.D. -

Actually- yes: 1.) What about auto-linking the forum topic to the track uploader (i.e. so it will put the 'location' of the file topic automatically) 2.) How about being able to upload scenario files (.SC6) extensions to the exchange- no more zipping being the idea there, and a lot easier to move parks from RCT II- R.D. -
