Mitch Hawker 2011 Wood Coaster Poll!
australianalex replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Congrats to El Toro. My favourite woodie too! Biggest surprise to me is Colossos (Heide Park). I was looking so much forward to try it when we went in 2011 (2nd attempt... was closed 1st time I went in 2010). It was so rough and seemed to be very badly maintained. Having El Toro and Balder as my top 2, I do love an Intamin woodie, so if anyone should have loved Colossos it should have been me. Nothing less than Terrible! Does not even belong in the top 30! I'm sure it did in its early years, but a ride (park) should be punished bad in these polls when they don't look after their rides, and I am thinking that a lot of people are judging it from past performance. That's a shame to hear, I thought Colossos looks awesome. -

Europa Park Discussion Thread

I'd absolutely love to, but unfortunately due to my young age I can't One day though. Also, sorry for going off topic, but how do the trips work if I have to fly from Australia? Would I fly to America then with a group to Europe, or from Australia straight to Europe? -

Thorpe Park Discussion Thread

I feel very stupid. I will now add myself to the "Dumbest things said on TPR thread" I guess its a good stunt, but at the same time its making the GP go crazy thinking the ride is unsafe. -
I thought Movieworld was closed for Australia day? Anyway I got to ride it last week, its a great addition to the park IMO. Not as good as superman escape, obviously, but a very cool ride. I think I invented a few new swearwords on the first drop lol, the way it crawls over the drop really adds to the suspense, S&S did well making a trim break add to the ride experience!

Wait, what exactly made the test dummies lose limbs? The small size of the church or the force from the ride (lol yeah right)? So maybe those near misses were a bit to near. -

I've heard some bad stuff about the Chance Chaos, what exactly (if anything) was wrong with them? -

That really pisses me off too. They must do it on purpose, I saw someone at my local theme park drop a half eaten hotdog and can of coke into a flowerbed right next to a trashcan. -

Can't wait for this! I've seriously got to somehow get down to Germany and Europa Park. Silverstar, Blue Fire and Mythos/Wodan look to be an incredible trio of coasters. Also would love to ride Expedition GeForce, Colossos, Black Mamba ect at its "neighboring" parks. -

It'd be a massive shame if Schwarzkopf's were to go extinct. Lets hope Six Flags keeps ahold of Mindbender and Shockwave for a fair bit longer. -
The british GP is especially bad. The teenage girls seem adamant on spelling every word wrong, and putting random capitals and numbers throughout a sentence. Also, I noticed a lot of complaints on Thorpe Park's page that the Swarm looks lame. I mean really? I can't see the lame in any B&M wingrider. This is an exceptionally hilarious one: so slow and to shord but i am still going and its good for pussys but slill my favret ride in the world is kinda ka 1. Learn to spell. 2. *Kingda ka 3. So the swarm is short and Kingda ka isnt? 4. Are you retarded?

Very nice ERT. May I ask why the hell your profile says you wish you were in Brisbane? I'd trade places anyday. -

Anyone here been on one of those Zamperla Power Surges? I did recently, insane ride. If you have nobody sitting next to you, you get an unbalanced ride and can expect a ride full of flipping, a fairly terrifying experience. -

I agree with Parachute towers, but I disagree with Giant Drop rides, especially with SFMM getting a new one this year. Also, I think Top Spins are still very popular and feature in a lot of parks. Then again, I'm always wrong. -
How did you get your screen name?

My name is Alex, I live in Australia. I'm not actually from Australia, so save the Australian jokes and stereotypes cos they don't effect me.
