  1. This park looks awesome! I really love the wing rider.
  2. Great TR! Apocalypse looks like a great woodie, Im not sure why its so often overlooked.
  3. Mmmm... Bacon This ride really looks better and better with each update and that twisted helix, curvey non-inversion inversion thing looks awesome. This will definitely be one of the best B&M Hypercoasters to date. The only thing that could kill it is if its infested with trims, but from what we've seen there don't seem to be too many (fingers crossed). Judging by the fact Portaventura seems to like intensity on their rides and hate brakes (Dragon Khans MCBR barely even slows the train) I have high hopes.
  4. The ride looks spectacular, can't wait to ride it in June. To be honest, it does look quite forceless but it'll still be a fun and exhilarating ride, and the near misses will be insane.
  5. Great park, however I am sad to see Demons Inferno go. That was the best ride in the park IMO.
  6. Not sure if this has been said but Blue Fire at Europa Park is the only Mack Launched Coaster, at least until Manta opens at Seaworld San Diego. Also, Abismo at Parque de Attraciones Madrid is the only extended Maurer Sohne Skyloop.
  7. Giant Drop at Dreamworld. Tallest in the world as of now, and ascending the tower while the Tower of Terror coaster launches up the side of the tower shaking it like crazy is an unnerving experience.
  8. This has to be one of the most picturesque rides out there!
  9. What about Xcelerator and Rita? Their colors and theme is pretty much identical. You could add Stealth in there too, different colors but same theme. But Ill admit, its impossible to think that Parc Asterix didn't have Montu in mind when designing OzIris, however I think its a bit unfair to call it a "rip of"
  10. Scenic Railway at Luna Park Melbourne (1912) Its even operated by a brakesman! Oldest continually operating coaster in the world apparently.
  11. This is a picture I took that I contributed to RCDB: God, Stormrunner is in desperate need of paint!
  12. Mean Steak is a truly amazing looking ride, its size and the insane mass of wood makes it look like it'll be a fantastic coaster. NOPE. Chuck Testa.
  13. Sorry youtube isn't working so I can't see the testing video to see for myself, are the trains like Eejanaikas or are they the newer ones as seen on X2?
  14. By height classification, Levaithan is a Giga Coaster. Its model, however, is the Hyper Coaster model. Just like how Goliath at Walibi World and Expedition Geforce aren't hyper/mega coasters by height classification, but Intamin calls them megacoasters as thats the model.
  15. The great thing with Intamins restraints is that even if the ride has OTSR's, they'll still not be very restricting. I know on the rides Ive been on with Intamins new OTSR's I haven't really noticed them coming in contact with my body at all.
  16. This looks absolutely incredible. Definitely the coolest looking hyper coaster Ive seen. Shambhala has now shot to the top of my list of coolest new coasters for 2012, right up with Skyrush and the Wingriders.
  17. I'd pay lots of money to fly across the world to ride this, so to you complainers, be grateful you can even ride it. I think this coaster will become one of the no. 1 rides in the world. It certainly reminds me of a mini I305 in some ways, and it looks like you'll get some great airtime.
  18. Did anyone notice he said their shortest coaster is 1 minute and 25 seconds and that their longest ride is 36 seconds? TBH, the post was so full of WTF that I didn't really care lol
  19. Well now I've decided on my UK trip I'm definately going to Thorpe Park, Oakwood Theme Park, Alton Towers, Drayton Manor and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Also probably stopping in Singapore on the way so I'll go to Universal Singapore.
  20. Yeah I was reffering to Montezooma as the only western one. I may take a trip to Brazil just to try the weight drop one I'm jealous of my mum being able to ride it as Thunderlooper at Alton Towers.
  21. Its a shame shutlle loops are becoming so hard to ride now. Only 5 are operating, and only one in a "Western" country. Hopefully the one in Walibi Belgium reopens in time for my Europe Trip Im planning next year.
  22. Interesting how the Swarm looks enormous in pictures, but X Flight looks quite small, even though theyre very similar in size. But this ride is looking fantastic and is the Wingrider with the best looking layout IMO, and that keyhole near miss on the inline twist looks insane.
  23. Wow, looks like the swarm now goes 100mph. I wonder how they did that
  24. What would you call California Screamin? Its not an accelerator as it has LSM's, so does that make it a (tame) Blitz coaster? EDIT: According to RCDB it actually has LIM's (my bad) and is classified as an Intamin Looping Coaster.
  25. I have only been on a few, but my favorite is Superman Escape at Movieworld. I bet even if I ended up riding all the others such as Stormrunner and TTD, it would still make my top 5 at least. It's acceleration is awesome, 0-62mph in 2 seconds, an awesome dark ride section and awesome out of your seat airtime on its two bunny hills. Worst I've been on Mick Doohan's Motocoaster at Dreamworld, Intamins first and hopefully last Motocoaster. Or, if they make another, they should at least change the restraints so they dont crush your knees. I also like Tower of Terror at Dreamworld (same design as SFMM's Superman), the sensation of speed is awesome but the acceleration isn't very intense, plus its an extremely short ride.
