  1. I was talking to my mum about Arkham Asylum (previously Lethal Weapon), Movieworlds Vekoma SLC. Mum: "You know I don't think I remember that ride. Wasn't it a twister?" Me: "Um, Mum, what's a "twister"? Do you mean that coaster in the video I showed you earlier?" (I had shown her a Togo Ultratwister POV) Mum: "Yeah! I think" Me: "Uh no. Arkham Asylum an inverted coaster." Mum: "A what?" Me: *cries silently*
  2. Hey, I'm doing a trip to UK in early June and doing a stop over in Hong Kong on the way to visit Ocean Park. I'm just wondering what the crowds were like when you guys went. I'll be going on a Friday, any idea if I can expect long queue times?
  3. So, Australia now has a Maurer Skyloop, a S&S El Loco and a revamped SLC. Now we just need a B&M or a good woodie to assure that TPR come back to do another trip here! I'd personally love to see a GCI in the Wild West section of Movieworld. Not that that will ever happen. But yeah Im looking forward to riding Arkham Asylum. As Lethal Weapon, I rated it a 3/10 and put it at the bottom of my coaster list, so I'm looking forward to seeing if it can redeem itself, and from what Ive heard I think it can.
  4. This is awesome news! Its great that at least one more shuttle loop will be staying for a while to come.
  5. Going to UK in June, stopping in Hong Kong on the way to visit Ocean Park and ride Hair Raiser Once I arrive in UK I'll be doing Thorpe Park, Oakwood, Drayton Manor, Alton Towers and Pleasure beach. But yeah Ocean Park will probably be my next park, I can't see myself going to Dreamworld/Movieworld again before then.
  6. Does anyone know where I can get some superhero scenery? Preferably DC hero scenery if possible. I'm trying to create a Gotham city section for my park. Also, where can I get the realistic queue lines that you always see in people's parks?
  7. I like some of the Busch Gardens coaster names. Things like Kumba, Montu and Alpengeist. I also like the name Dominator, Intimidator and Raptor.
  8. Its an interesting concept. I can definitely see this becoming popular in smaller amusement parks.
  9. Looks pretty good. I don't think a loop on a wooden coaster is bad. Some people say SOB's loop was the best part of the ride. I bet Intamin could easily intregate a loop into a woodie successfully if RCCA could.
  10. The first "zero G roll" is actually a corkscrew. So strangely, the zero G roll is the final inversion of the ride.
  11. So what happened to the 'smooth' part? China happened.
  12. That is, quite simply, the best Intamin Accelerator in RCT3.
  13. I love the layout for this coaster, and the coaster itself if stunning.
  14. Looks great! Its good to see the original B&M back in full glory.
  15. Those rotations look painful, and the bouncing as the train leaves the station
  16. Love that wing rider so much, fantastic layout and I love the way it integrates into the landscape.
  17. Some pictures from Akrham Asylum: Shock Therapy's soft opening. The theming looks pretty decent and I think the trains look great. (Source, Outsiders Australia Facebook page). I know the new trains won't take away the roughness that comes from Vekoma's crappy track transitions, but at least it'll eliminate head banging, hopefully making it a re-ridable coaster experience.
  18. Holy crap that was fast construction! Looks like a great coaster.
  19. I'm sorry this post is no help to your question, but every time you call Millennium Force "Milf" I have to laugh. That is all.
  20. Not the first time a dragon has been brought down by garish colors. Only difference is that Dragon Khan is actually a good coaster.
  21. Miss the old Movieworld standard of theming as seen on Superman Escape and Scooby Doo and of course Wild West Falls. Green Lanterns theming was very cheap, especially the perspex shelter that the station is. Hopefully they'll spend more for the theming of the new dark ride.
  22. If its gonna be in America I'd say Knotts is plausible. It won't be at Cedar Point as they already have a green B&M. New 2014 ride for Dreamworld Australia? Maybe the scenic bushland B&M hyper we've all been waiting for over here? I can dream. Anyway even if its not a wing rider, its still another B&M in the world, and that has to be a good thing.
  23. Can we 100% know for certain its Wingrider track? I know when Hair Rasier at Ocean Park was being built people believed for a long time that it was a standup coaster.
  24. I agree this should become a "Warner Bros Movie World Discussion Thread"
