  1. Ha! That video's awesome. What a crazy broad. She was probably waiting just for that moment.
  2. It's Saturday. The park is generally busy on Saturdays. Have you been to the park this year? I've been every week, and it doesn't seem as crowded as it has been. As for the Geauga Lake fight, eh. It was a business move. I know some of you think Cedar Fair bought GL to sell it, but that makes no sense. Why would they run it for a few years instead of just shut it down? You know what? Nevermind. This has been ongoing since October. The park's closed. The rides are gone. It's a shame some of them got sold to a scrap dealer. That really sucks.
  3. ^ But Cedar Fair is trying woodies again with Renegade. And Worlds of Fun looks like it may get a woodie next season.
  4. Says who? Where is there proof that this is happening? Getting an e-mail doesn't count since anyone can type that up and send it off. I'm not saying I'm not for your cause. I just don't believe it. And if it is true, e-mailing some "Dan" fellow at Sprint isn't going to change the company's mind. Get a new service or find another way to use a phone.
  5. These articles are all the same. Whether it's on Wired or About.com or MSN.com, there's nothing new or really interesting. They show case tall, fast and weird coasters. These sites probably have these already typed up for summer and just replace the name and stats when a new coaster comes out.
  6. DBru, I know. I read it. I was just commenting. The Intamin track is pretty cool. And the trains are really sleek. One of the pictures looks like a lap bar is up. As for the PTCs, I wonder how those trains will track. Those cars are big, so really quick transitions might be hard to do. Though I don't really understand how the CoasterDynamix wooden coasters work.
  7. Wow. They're completely static. The wheels aren't even wheels -- they're just plastic fixtures. The other Statix trains could be placed on your own track.
  8. ^ But they don't look like it. They're on the side of the track by the rail. I guess we'll have to wait for better pictures. The Screamin' Squirrels use tires to slow the car down in the saxophone turns.
  9. Those parts on the right side of the track that stick up look like brakes. There have to be brakes there. Imagine how horrible Afterburner's first drop and turn afterward would be without brakes. Look at the second drop. It's easier to see the metal sticking up. That's got to be some sort of braking system.
  10. The employee parking lot is expanding.
  11. ^Actually, in NoLimits, you can just push "8" to reset the simulator. There's no need to close it and reopen it.
  12. You're going to have to be more specific there, and type in English, buddy. What program are you using? Is it saying there's an accident? Come on. Help us.
  13. Those wheels are really small. I didn't expect them all to be the same size.
  14. ^ Twisted Twins needs more than new trains to make it interesting.
  15. Here's an article on the auction today. Big Dipper was sold for $5,000 to an unknown buyer. Here's the best part: This is so weird. Why does ACE say it wasn't offered to the group for free? And why does the auction group say it offered it to ACE? Who's right here? What's going on? Also, Carole Sanderson has the crazy.
  16. I just have one question: Why do a few people, you included, not upload the file here? You always link us to another site. Edit: And for those of us without the Track Packager, where can we get it? I looked in Google but didn't find much.
  17. That coaster looks like it'll only be able to run one train.
  18. Wow. I don't know how I feel about that turn banked the wrong way, but there's a brake run before it, so they can tame it if it's too extreme. The heartline looks really cool. It's diving down, the opposite of Mystery Mine's. Hopefully the brakes before the first drop aren't too insane.
  19. SFFT's Boomerang isn't too bad. I've only been on a few, but that one didn't beat me up as badly as the others. That one's got the newer trains, so it's a tad better.
  20. Rattler is an awful coaster, but if you must ride it for the credit, there's a way to make it tolerable. Hold on to the grab bar in front of you, and keep your back off the seat back. That's where the forces of the shaking go, so you'll get beat up if you keep your back there. Just sit forward. Superman is fantastic. It's my No. 2 floorless. Tony Hawk is also a fun coaster. It's got a different feel than other Six Flags parks. It's got pretty good theming in different areas, and it's situated in a great location. You should have fun.
  21. Good work. The layout is fairly simple, but it works. There's great airtime all over the ride, and the hangtime in the third inversion is crazy. I liked the way you made the launch track. Those three supports look great. I only noticed a few problems. In the back seat, the airtime exiting the camelback goes into the negative G's. Ouch. There are one or two spots where the laterals get a little high, but 1 G isn't too bad. If you E-stop the ride, it crashes into the train sitting in the brakes. You should have made that magnetic brake section a brake run. Just add the transport device and hide the brakes. It acts the same way and slows the train down no matter what. But it's a fun ride. The airtime's good. I liked it.
  22. I'm impressed. I thought it was just going to be like the Screamin' Squirrels but at 120 degrees instead of totally upside down. Now what's the rest of the layout?
  23. People on other sites are already finding fun stuff. Check out Fairbanks, Alaska. It looks like a plastic bag blew on top of the camera and stayed there for a while.
  24. Google just added a ton more stuff today. From Google's Lat Long Blog. So check out your city! Find your home or car. I found my old apartment in Tucson, and my brother's car is there. It's hard to see, but I believe that's it. I also found my grandpa's house, aunt's house, uncle's house and my cousin's house. It's really neat. I also found people sitting in Kennywood's Screamin' Swing ready to ride or ready to exit. Here. Show off your cool finds.
  25. ThrillNetwork's database allows you to write down your ride counts on individual rides too. I keep track there and in notebooks. Gah, I'm a nerd.
