Based off of what a few people brought up, it seems that Insane DOES have the same problems as SFMM with the ZacSpin. The difference is that they are good enough to spend money on the maintenance personnel to be at the ride when the cars come into the station weird. I saw this happen tons of times at GL last year when the ride was operating the way it should operate where they kept maintenance on hand to handle any problems (which were pretty common). Unfortunately the issue lies, of course, with SFMM's cheapness.

Wow, that looks like a great ride. The theming is also very nice. Thanks for the update! -
Tallest coaster you've been on.
dylanreich replied to andre8's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There's people who don't count it as a coaster? Steel: Superman: Escape from Krypton (SFMM) Wooden: Colossus (SFMM)... I really haven't been out of SoCal, but will be riding El Toro in the summer. -
I lost my iPhone on Tatsu, in the pretzel loop. Strangely it was after countless times riding it and X2 without losing anything. Find my iPhone showed it by the loop and Revolution but they were never able to find it... I was REALLY freaked the first time I rode Tatsu; the scary part was going up that lift hill for the first time. I seriously thought the restraints were going to open up. I've gotten over heights after my trip to the Stratosphere though.

Absolutely LOVING that lift. Less time to think "This is pretty scary, is it too late too get off the ride?". -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

While obviously (and IDK who would refute this) Cedar Point is the better park, why shouldn't SFMM be able to advertise this? I would say that even though it comes at the cost of everything else there (and I'd rather have the rest of the park improved before a new coaster), they did earn it. -
Theme park Passes Thread

Currently have: -SFMM/Six Flags Xtreme pass -Disneyland Resort Deluxe pass -Knott's Berry Farm pass -Universal Hollywood pass Not looking to get any more in the near future, as I probably won't be venturing anywhere outside of SoCal, except for the New Hotness trip. -
Best Drops....
dylanreich replied to BiCoastal Kid's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
X2 in the front row with the amazing view on the drop. My second favorite is Xcelerator in the back row, you're practically flying out of your seat going down the other side after the airtime. -
The Mysterious B&M Green Wingrider Track
dylanreich replied to GigaG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is B&M, not Arrow Dynamics. Although it can be argued that a 4D coaster is basically just a tricked out wingrider, the difference in manufacturer is a big one. How many times have you ridden X/X2? It's my favorite ride (and at my home park), but man it can be rough sometimes. Not only that, but it's had tons of reliability issues over the years. I haven't been on any of the B&M wingriders yet, but from what I'm hearing, they're pretty darn smooth. This is a big deal, considering these wingriders are coming from one of the world's largest coaster manufacturers, and are going to grow in numbers. How many 4D coasters are there in the world again? Smoothness + reliability > a slightly more extreme ride. -
Went to the park today. Flat out HORRIBLE operations today. Really the opposite of WCB. The crews on Xcelerator, Silver Bullet, Boomerang, and Ghostrider were going up and down the rows at less-than normal walking speed. They also had one person checking both sides on Boomerang. And at Boomerang, in the middle of checking restraints, the crew member went to the exit to go joke with a co-worker, who seemed to be coming back from lunch. I got to ride Ghostrider in the back today and got some really nice airtime, but at a price: It was VERY painful. Maybe it's because I'm a tall guy, but it was more rough than Viper at SFMM. For those who were wondering, I can say that Xcelerator (pretty much duh),Silver Bullet, and Sierra Sidewinder were running one train. I also got to go on Screamin' Swings for the first time, and absolutely loved it. My new favorite flat ride.

The Bag-Of-Crap Giveaway Thread!
dylanreich replied to ernierocker's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Does it involve the changing of profile information of someone? Does it involve the editing of a post? Does it involve a change in the little caption/title under someone's username that normally says something random about a donkey? -
Is has a very low capacity (amount of riders that can go through the ride in an hour).

Hey Robb, I was looking through your IMDB profile... And I saw you worked on Aladdin! I'd like to thank you for that! I was born in 95 so I didn't get to play it until 99, but once I started on my Genesis I couldn't stop. That's all I had to say.
